I absolutely adore this store! We are traveling from DC to Quebec City with a couple nights in Burlington. I was relieved to discover a Body Shop in town. I had run out of body butter prior to leaving DC. This store did not disappoint. I LOVED chatting with the manager about Anita. As a diehard Body Shop shopper, I appreciate those who share the fundamental values of the company. 20+ years of using their products and I would happily return to this store. GAHHHHMYGOD! I LOVE THIS STORE AND THEIR PRODUCTS. I had never gone inside this store because I knew it was pricier than the drugstore brands that I usually buy. However, if you get what you pay for, it's worth it to spend a few extra bucks. The quality is definitely better! Horrible service. Racist rude stuff. They told me I cannot go inside because they don't want store crowded and they don't want people to use testers. There were only 2 customers in the store!I told them I understand and I'm not going to touch any tester.Sign on the door said 10 customers are allowed and there were only 2 customers inside. Passing by 5 minutes later I saw one of the customers spreading tester on her arm while service clerk was assisting her. I was in this store last week and there was no problem making my purchase but what I experienced today was simply horrible dealing with those xenophobic employees because there was no any other reason to treat me different then those other customers. read more

I was told a MOISTURIZER would not moisturizer my skin... that's the point of a moisturizer. I tried to tell her I had combo skin but she kept talking over me and pushing the Youth product moisturizer that she didn't hear me . I ended up getting the Aloe product because I trust my Black Youtubers more . read more

The staff here is incredibly friendly! Not only did they pamper our dog with cookies, but they helped me pick out a night-time lotion for my troublesome skin. I woke up this morning to a glowing reflection in the mirror! I know that The Body Shop is a national brand, but they are a great company and the service in this store can't be beat! read more

Very helpful staff and the prices were so reasonable for what you get. I was looking for a new face lotion product and picked up a $30 ORGANIC set with a full size of each: day cream, night cream and eye cream. I will be back! read more

The staff absolutely smothers you. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, knowing that I wanted to try some of their tea tree oil products. Frankly, I might have purchased more if the salesgirl (who was clearly trying to make a commission) had just left my friend and I alone, or given us a moment to breathe & browse the products on our own. There were some products that I would have liked to try, but between her condescending comments about my skincare routine and how pushy she was being, I just wanted to get the heck out of this store. If I wind up liking the tea tree oil make up wipes I purchased, I may wind up buying them online, but there's no way that I will be returning to this store again. The employees turned an otherwise pleasant day in downtown Burlington into an exhausting experience, and certainly negatively skewed how I view the company as well. read more

I love the Body Shop and buy their products regularly both in the store and online. I highly recommend them and love that their products are all cruelty-free. Unfortunately, the last time I went in there left a bad taste in my mouth. The salesgirls, who are usually nice and helpful but not intrusive, WOULD NOT leave me alone, and when I asked how to use a product that has no instructions one of them actually laughed at me and called me "cute," which is annoying given that I am in my thirties and this girl was probably not out of high school yet. Another girl yelled to me across the store that I was buying the wrong stuff (that I've been using for years with great results) just by one look at me. I know they were trying to be helpful/they must get commission, and I appreciate knowledgeable staff, but this was way too much and made me think about shopping online from now on. read more

My co-worker and I were lucky enough to have a Friday off so we drove up to Burlington for the day. Upon entering the store we were greeted and engaged in wonderful conversations regarding ourselves and the products. We each had a mini-facial and some laughs. Love their products, but I've had terrible experiences in store. The staff is very aggressive in trying to get you to walk out of the store with more products than you need. I came in looking for a couple specific things, and felt so uncomfortable when all three or four of the sales girls kept cycling back to me telling me I "needed" this and that. When I inquired about the prices of the items they were recommending, they didn't have answers! That's great for people who don't take price into consideration when making purchases, but for the rest of us, shopping here is frustrating. The prices are simply not listed for many items! I would have loved help from the staff picking items that I came in for, as there were quite a range of choices. Instead, they focused on trying to persuade me to spend money on things I didn't need. Probably won't be back :( read more
