My first visit was today after we left the Tulip Time Festival, and with the entire downtown area absolutely bustling, stumbling across this shop felt like discovering a quiet little retreat in the middle of the chaos. I wasn't always certain about the pricing or exactly where some of the different genres and subjects were tucked away throughout the store, but honestly, that became part of the charm. There's something nostalgic about wandering through aisles, scanning shelves, and unexpectedly finding something interesting you didn't even know you were looking for. One thing I especially appreciated was the atmosphere created by the staff. The sales team was friendly and welcoming without hovering or making the experience feel uncomfortable in any way. They greeted us warmly, then simply allowed us the freedom to explore at our own pace. No one trailed behind us from aisle to aisle, no one pressured us into buying anything, and there was never that awkward feeling that you were being watched while trying to quietly enjoy the books that caught your interest. Instead, it felt relaxed and genuine -- the kind of bookstore experience where you can lose yourself for a while flipping through pages, rediscovering old interests, and taking your time deciding what deserves a closer look. It was really enjoyable to spend some time browsing and getting a feel for the stock they carry. I have been calling the Advance News Paper for years asking them to stop delivering to our home…read more I told them that every year my two stage snowblower would get clocked and my safety bolts would snap when their plastic wrapped newspaper that was thrown into my driveway and then covered with snow got clogged in my Shute. I have called their business office two weeks ago and requested again that they take us off their delivery... I was told that we were off the list... but again we have this trash tossed into our driveway. Their delivery is non stop... if there is anyone else out there who has these problems please contact me so we can take legal action. I am tired that my snowblower gets broke when I need it most all because of this trash being tossed into my driveway. Bad bad business, and they could care less about the problem that they create.
