My friend paid for an hour with Leisa at $250 for images of my friend, her two children, and myself. We agreed to meet her at 11am in Deadwood. She choose to get a hotel for the night without informing my friend or that she would be expected to reimburse the expense. When we met Leisa, I confirmed we wanted a mix of pictures involving all of us, solo and groups. At no point did she state she would be charging an additional $250 for a second adult. After we realized the hour was up and we were going over time, the Leisa said not to worry about it and continued to shoot us in 3 different locations over the next 3 hrs (4 hrs total). During the shoot, she and her assistant were very friendly, but a little unprofessional in terms of sharing about their lives. I don't need to know about your failing marriage or how your parents died and you lost the family business. She continued to reference her studio and that we should book time with her the following day. She brought it up roughly 4-5 times and appeared to be desperate. I have been doing non-professional costumed shoots for over 3 years. I have a basic idea of how to pose and what angles look good on me. My friend does not have that experience. Leisa provided very little direction and what she did was mostly centered around asking her to be more sexy, which is a little uncomfortable with my friends 12 and 13 year old sons standing 10 feet away. Almost 2 weeks later she emails my friend 20 photoshopped images without any consultation on what 20 images we would want. She is asking for an additional $550 for the raw images and to compensate for her hotel room, as well as mileage. Rather than contact my friend via phone to discuss the images/pricing issues after she changed her mind, she blocked her on all forms of social media and messaging. Her husband then contacted my friend via Facebook and threatened to sue her, as well as making statements about knowing how to find her. read more

This woman is a theif and con artist. I do not say this lightly. If you work with her, make sure the " contract" outlines HER responsibilities to YOU as a client. Currently it would seem the contract is written to protect her and her illegitimate business practices. She does not have a studio, wants to meet at hotel rooms and didn't even have that lined up for the shoot. She refuses to refund when NO service has been provided. She's taking advantage of people who seek out this service for a boost of self confidence and a fun experience. She has no integrity. If there isn't anyone else local just travel for this service do not waste your money. read more

Photographer who sets prices and says it is for a full set of edited photos. Then after you pay she only sends a few photos that haven't been edited or agreed on and doubles the amount for the full photo set. Blocks customers if they request regund or the photos promised. SHADY business practice. If you want to waste your time and money and have then try to bait and switch you, call her. read more

DO NOT USE Leisa for any photography! There were red flags from the beginning but I was giving her a chance. The day of my photo session she texted to inform me that she did not have the venue rented that we discussed. She proceeded to tell me that we would be using her son's house. I voiced my concerns but she insisted that the photos would be gorgeous. Two hours after the original appointment time I arrived at the address. This was not a suitable location to do photos. The hair and makeup person was not a professional as I was told it would be. Shortly after arriving her daughter in law arrived upset because she did not know about photos being taken at her home. She threatened to call the police and I was told to leave. I requested a refund and she refused. Not one photo was taken. It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with anyone. I hope this prevents anyone else having a similar experience. read more

So this photographer decided to try and scam us out of all our photos and is trying to bait and switch and hold my pictures hostage after she agreed to do the shoot and all images for 250.00 she then emailed me to tell me they were ready to be sent and I had to pay in full and she would drop box all images she didn't. She sent 15 unapproved images that we didn't pick and then try to extort $550.00 in funds from me to get the images we already agreed upon verbally on the phone when we booked her and then in person before signing docs at the hotel for safety waivers and for what we were told were waivers for us not showing our private parts on her website. I am tagging her as she doesn't grasp how this one action can ruin her business. You don't get to bait and switch. You don't get to tell me the pics are ready to be sent and charge someone the agreed price and then never send the pics. I want everyone to see her until she does the right thing and sends all images to the Dropbox as paid or us selecting a fair image amount which she never let us and we had totally unusable ones given. She then tried to tell me that my kids and friend said no matter what she took I wouldn't be happy but unfortunately thats because of her not directing the shoot at all..not telling us what to do and working at awful angles. I have never been so shocked at a business in my life. I am disputing the charge until the pics are released but I am leaving this post up as well showing her never calling me to discuss civilly and then having the audacity to blame me for her not providing the agreed package. Its a shame these days that people can't be honest business people. Emails..chats and texts all attached showing what she did. She can contact me with all pics and I will remove the post if not I will copy and paste to all review sites.
