I have always enjoyed coming here. The food is good, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the overall vibe has always been one of the reasons I continue to return. Unfortunately, my most recent visit completely changed my opinion. The service we received was unacceptable. Our server, a white man with numerous tattoos, was rude and disrespectful to everyone at our table throughout the evening. More concerning, I experienced comments and behavior that I perceived as racist and homophobic, and another employee appeared to encourage or support that conduct instead of addressing it. My guests and I felt humiliated and extremely uncomfortable. As someone who has been a loyal customer for a long time and has spent a significant amount of money supporting this business, I was shocked that this was our experience. I invited friends and family expecting a great evening, and instead we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. If this type of behavior reflects what the restaurant is willing to tolerate, that is deeply disappointing. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, investigates what occurred, and ensures that no customer is made to feel this way in the future. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment, particularly to people who may be concerned about being treated unfairly because of their race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Not a bad spot at all! I came here on a Friday evening and it was pretty packed. I honestly didn't expect it to be as packed as it was, but they had a pretty big crowd. We got seated right away, though. I tried the let that mango spring cocktail they had. It wasn't bad at all. It was VERY sour so if you like sour drinks, you will like this one. I tried their wings both the buffalo and dry rub. They weren't bad. I also tried their Randy's meatzza pizza and their burger. Their pizza sauce wasn't bad, either. I love the boulevard because of it's accessible parking, location to campus/downtown, and large covered patio. However, the last few times we've visited, they have underperformed. Last week, I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. I love the corkscrew pasta and the chicken has a great taste. However, the last two times I have ordered it, the noodles have been cold. Not lukewarm, but actually cold. It's clear they're pre-cooked and frozen or left in the fridge-- however, they were not properly warmed before being presented. Most recently, I had family visiting from out of town (party of four). I decided this time to get the Margherita pizza after getting cold noodles two visits in a row. This was the right choice. The pizza was crispy and delicious. However, one of the orders at my table was misplaced. Everyone had food for about 15 minutes before the server came out to explain the entree was never prepared. It seems like the boulevard's service and food quality is going down hill. Nothing on the menu really stands out as fantastic-- expect mediocre bar food and service (which is expected when a restaurant has a menu as large/vast as they do). read more

So we came here after church for a bite and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was good. It's a big restaurant so it was busy on a Sunday but it wasn't hard to find a spot. They have outside seating too. They have a big bar and TVs all around the place. The atmosphere is definitely bar/grill but family friendly. We ordered the Memphis burger, the Baja fish tacos and a 12" pepperoni pizza. Everything was really good but my favorite was the burger. The pull pork bbq was on point. They also had drink specials (not picture) but the glass mason jars was massive! I opted for my favorite, draft Guinness. My kids enjoyed their pizza and the space we got had a window my daughter just loved. The bathroom could use an update or a good cleaning but place overall could too. Walked here for a small lunch in between walking route and glad we did. Gave our legs a rest and a chance to warm back up and refuel before finishing our walk. We ordered the jalapeño poppers just a half order which were good but not a traditional popper. Then my husband ordered the Blvd burger while I ordered the cobb salad. The salad was good but it had alot of brown pieces of lettuce that I couldn't eat. So lettuce didn't seem that fresh or crisp. I stopped in to The Boulevard with a couple friends for lunch and while the food was good, we probably won't be back. To begin, the parking lot is located behind the building, meaning that when you walk in, you first see the bar, and have to walk across the restaurant to get the hostess stand. Once we were seated, we noticed that between the many TVs and other diners, the restaurant was very loud. Even though the restaurant didn't seem to be busy, service was slow. The Boulevard is a sports bar: yet it's more than that. I have been here with family, in small groups, and one large event. We have done take out numerous times as well. Why? The food is unpretentious but tasty and prepared to order. Burgers are creative yet sometimes cooked more like medium well but the wide range of sandwiches are spot on. So too are the wraps. And I prefer the onion straws over the fries! The pizzas, calzones and pasta are among my favorite dishes. Generous servings--the house calzone and chicken fettuccine are my go-tos. Among the entrees, recommend the fish and chips--just the right amount of crunch. The meatloaf is fine but the gravy a bit salty. The appetizers and salads are among the best values--love the bam bam shrimp and the boneless wings, lots of zingy sauces to choose from The bar is best for beer, lots of good locals on tap. Wine list is forgettable. Mixed drinks are too manufactured and bland for my tastes. In other words there is something for everyone. The Boulevard is a great local spot. Beers are two for one during happy hour which is awesome. They will bring your second drink to the table in a little bucket of ice - if you're sitting at the bar, the bartender will pour your second drink when you're ready. We love to get the Buffalo chicken sliders and pepper Jack poppers which are just fried pepper Jack cheese cubes. In Pennsylvania where my family is from, there are restaurants with fried cheddar cheese cubes that I love and can only really get in PA so if the boulevard could add those in addition to the pepper Jack poppers, I'm pretty sure I would never go anywhere else! read more

The ambiance is slightly lacking, it's usually almost empty when I've been in, and the bartenders are polite but could be friendlier. If I could leave a negative 3 stars I WOULD! But was forced to leave "a star" in order to post this.... My first and last time here. First thing, service SUCKED! 4 employees behind the bar, 6-8 ppl sitting around the bar and it takes me 8-10 minutes to give up on them approaching me to where I have to flag one down to get me a beer. They are and we're so consumed with their fellow employee's and the regulars at the bar. I always wait and observe until I step up... I almost left and should've. Second thing, DO NOT come here for wings. They are dry, overcooked, tasteless, served with rubbery celery and dry as dry can be carrots. NOT TO MENTION the ranch side that I ordered was so milky and watery. Meaning to stretch out the ranch dressings, restaurants add milk to thin it out. This place is awful on so many levels. Problem with Rocky's meat pizza. Prepared properly, the best, hands down. Today was the second time my husband was served one with a raw crust. The kitchen was going to "re-make one". What they did was shove it back into the oven until it was charred black on the bottom in big spots with charred toppings. Crust? You guessed it, still raw. We eat here often but last night I made a reservation for a large group. We might not have needed a reservation since there were plenty of tables, but when we got there the table was set with water, menus, and silverware. So nice. Our waitress was a pro. One person to care for 13 of us! She kept up beautifully and was even able to break the bill down for us. I thought I was going to have to pay and then figure it out for myself, but no, she had it all under control. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered. And we had a wide variety of orders! Just across the pockmarked street from MTSU, I have come to the realization that summer is the season to visit the Boulevard. No crowds, no rowdy yelling at the football games on the tube, just a nice peaceful place to meet with friends, have a drink and a meal. The most difficult part of the visit is at the start when one must select a dish from a large variety of food. In broad categories, there are sandwiches, tacos, pizzas, calzones, appetizers, burgers, and I'm sure I've missed one or maybe more categories. The Hawaiian Pizza drew my attention but the Cajun Pepperoni won out. It was good; the pepperoni was seared in the oven which gave it a good fried fat taste. The Macaroni and Cheese balls shouldn't work but they do. They were balls of cheesy goodness and I think I will order a set my next visit. I am quite surprised by this place. Being right next to a university, figured it would be all about that. But this place is great. I had a 5 piece app of boneless wings in smoky bbq sauce. Very tasty. Loved the crunch but still swimming in sauce. Then I had a house salad with blackened shrimp. Great blackening seasoning and the shrimp had no shell tail!!!! Bonus, loved this feature!!!!
