As a result of our phenomenal experience the first time here, I was so excited to come back again. What a major let down! We ordered some of the same dishes, but the flavor and presentation were completely different. The pork dish tasted so bad, we needed to return it, and the chicken dish was so poor, we didn't bother to eat it. Consistency is key, and based on my $150 bill when leaving and having to eat after we left because we were still hungry... I certainly won't be back. Such a let down!

I came at a good time right after the peak time where they had a large group leave. Lovely casual and romantic place. Very nice and clean inside. The service staff very kind and welcoming. The food here was excellent. I enjoyed our sides and pork bolgogi. Soup comes out steaming hot. One drink of lychee martini was refreshing. A recommended place to try.

Officially our favorite Korean restaurant!! Everything was so good! Can't wait to go back!

Decided to have lunch here today after reading a few great reviews. If you enjoy Korean food U&I will surely be a hit. My wife and I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi and a bowl of Yukgaejang soup. The spicy pork was brought out sizzling in a pan, just like an order of fajitas. The meat was nice and tender with a light hint of spice and was perfect. The Yukgaejang was piping hot. It had a generous amount of beef, noodles, onions, and the broth was not too spicy, and it was rich in beef flavor. Our lunch was served with about five side dishes. The sides ranging from spicy cucumber, kimchi, fish cakes, beans, sprouts, and pickled radish. The side dishes were all very good but the fish cakes by far were my favorite. Both entrées were accompanied by rice. And extra side dishes were offered more than once. Their prices were comparable to most Korean restaurants. However, their portion of the spicy pork was a little more generous than many restaurants I've been to in the past. The restaurant has two different sections. Looks like they can hold a very large crowd or event. The ambience of the restaurant was very quiet and casual.

U&i is the cutest restaurant with great service and food. It's not a kbbq restaurant with the grills. Everything comes to you already cooked. We ordered udon noodles, backbreaker ribs, chicken wings, seafood tofu soup, seafood pancake, squid stir fry, squid dolsot bibimbap, beef dolsot bibimbap. It was so much food we ended up going home with leftovers. Drinks were also so good. Pricing is about on par with what you'd expect at a Korean restaurant. It's the same owners as Korea bbq and sushi off nolensville pike so you already know it's good just based off of that info.

I'm always on the hunt for good Asian food and Korean is one of my favorite food. And with Korean food, you gotta love the banchan (side dishes) that come with it. I got the spicy beef bulgogi with rice and it was approximately $27. Everything including the banchan was just ok. It's not bad, but just ok and for the price point especially in Murfreesboro, I expected it to be really good. My cocktail was good, just a little on the higher price point. Maybe it was an off day, I'll have to try som other day. Really nice people and the staff provided great service. We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. They accommodated our group of 15 for a birthday party. Pretty good size parking lot for free parking.

Overall, the place has a nice esthetic and ample seating. We tried several dishes and drinks. The squid stir fry was excellent and had a really nice heat to it. Also had this veggie pizza entrée that was crunchy and fresh. A couple of issues were this one rice dish that came out in stone, bottom of rice burnt and we were instructed to continously stir it to keep the rest from burning. We eventually just took all the food out of the stone piece and left whatever was burnt on the bottom. Tried a couple of cocktails and neither was well balanced. We were also pushed to try this rice punch? It tasted like cooked rice water and was not pleasant on the pallette. Servers were extremely patient and were very nice. Would I go back? Probably not. Just too high of a price for execution errors.

We came here after church on Sunday and what an enjoyable experience. We were all feeling a little adventurous so took our servers. Suggestions on what to have and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Portion sizes are amazing as everyone but myself took some home to go but we will definitely be back in the future... Of course they have classics like bulgogi and kimchi, but don't be afraid to ask about some of the other items on their menu and give them a try. The atmosphere was very nice. I could see a nice family dinner after church or a date night or just the evening with the homies.

Beef Bulgogi, shrimp dumplings, and five unbelievably delicious vegetable sides.

Absolutely magnificent food. The restaurant is also gorgeous. I had five small plate vegetable dishes, and every single one of them was spectacularly good. Beef Bulgogi, was amazing. Super friendly folks. Run, don't walk to eat here!! I live in Mount Juliet and I will 100% be coming here on a regular basis. Nashville is a place with a lot of so-so Asian restaurants. This is the real deal.

What a great experience we had at U & I, ordered a few apps and two main entrees, our server was very attentive and helpful in helping us select our options. Beautifully decorated and clean. Would highly recommend and will be back!

My dish - Kanpunggi. Spicy. My friend got Beef Bulgogi and it had a bit of sweetness too it! Large portions

Went with friends for dinner last night and being new to Korean food we were up for the adventure. The menu was large and had so many options, our waitress was authentic and gave so much insight! She made the night! Lots of laughs. Everyone had old fashioneds and they said they were amazing! I can't remember all the names of what we got. But we got the seafood pancake and gyozas for appetizers, I got a spicy double fried chicken with rice, husband got a squid spicy dish, other couple got a sweet thin sliced ribeye (bulogi ??) and then a noodle bowl. We WILL be back! The decor and ambiance was simple yet comfortable. We spent 3 1/2 hours just hanging out and eating. They never rushed us.

For starters, the location is down an alley way, hidden off the main area of the Square in the Boro. To get to the speakeasy, you have to find the door, use the phone, and answer a riddle to speak the 'password' to get in. Neat concept and adds to the fun of the overall experience. The cons: - A cover charge - and a healthy one, at that. - Every cocktail, small plate/appetizer, dish, dessert, etc. is on the very high end of price points, and that's even for a Nashville spot - not even considering this as a niche location in the burbs. - For the prices, exceptionally small portions/servings of the food options. We left paying over $150 for our evening and both my wife and I were still hungry... The pros: - Service was fantastic. Extremely friendly from the owner to the bartenders to the servers. No complaints there at all. - My wife took me for my 40th birthday, and they helped significantly make it a special celebration while we were there. A special dessert with "4-0" candles, a rousing musician-led, crowd-involved rendition of "happy birthday" was sung in my honor, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. - Atmosphere was fun and inviting without being too much/stuffy. - The interior of the speakeasy is opulent, small, and cozy, featuring enough room for probably no more than 20-25 people total. - The drinks were very, very good. Overpriced, sure - but at least they were well made and tasty. - The food was absolutely fantastic. Great flavors and seemingly fresh, quality ingredients - well prepared. Overall, a very neat, fun, well thought out experience and something to say we've done - BUT unfortunately with the cover charge, pricing of the individual drinks, food items, etc., it prices us out of frequent enjoyment. We would go with a small group for kicks, but will likely not return otherwise, which is a shame.

My husband's shrimp were a mix of sizes and even a mix of cooking styles -- some grilled, some fried -- which made it look like they were gathered from multiple plates. And to be real, we were already getting those "don't blink" stares, so sending the food back wasn't happening. The cook clearly knew what was being served.
