I do everything in my power to help her and my son, to get through this. A good friend referred me to Martino Cartier Salon and their Wigs and Wishes charity. I made the appointment not knowing what exactly to expect. Please know that my daughter in law has shown so much strength and grace throughout this fight. We shaved her head after her first treatment. She didn't loose her hair until her third treatment. It was traumatic. It was the first time she stated that she had cancer. We had her wig appointment today. She was nervous. She has dyed her hair for years. Most recently, it has been purple. Though they didn't have a purple wig, Lianne was so beyond kind and found a wig that complimented her style. To make her feel more like herself, she added some colored extensions. On our way home, she kept looking in the mirror. I thought it was so sweet. Then she told me that she hadn't been looking at herself in the mirror because she didn't like the stranger who stared back at her. This brought a tear to my eye.
