However, my greater…read moreconcern at that time was losing a renowned surgeon and staff of doctors who had been overseeing my son's cleft lip and palate process from birth to 11years, until the time we moved to Bend. Cleft palate patients have a specialized team of doctors from general dentistry, audiology, speech pathology, otolaryngology, to a specialized orthodontist. I knew Bend wasn't going to be the large metropolitan area I was used to, so I was a little apprehensive with what kind of long-term treatment plan Dr. Rosenzweig could provide. I was told he would be in braces from 7 years old until 18 to 19 years of age. He would need additional bone grafts as he grew to prepare for dental implants for missing teeth and bone. Needless to say, my fears were elevated, as Dr.Brian is very skilled in managing specialized orthodontia cases. I would have periodic meetings with Dr. Brian to discuss what the next steps would be to achieve the overall best outcome for my son, including two jaw surgeries towards the end of his 8 years as a patient. I couldn't be any happier with the care and treatment that my son received, including the whole staff! In fact, this was considered and covered under medical insurance in my home state. I initially battled with my insurance company here in Bend to get the right codes for it to be covered, until receiving the much-needed help from Heidi!! My son's teeth look great, and his confidence even improved. I am very grateful for the excellent care my son received!! I too, even became a patient recently completing my treatment plan, as my bite was off, wearing down my bottom front teeth. Thank you again! Barbie

Dr Sullivan was professional and patient, his employees were all top notch, his offices are part super clean and fun pediatric office, part futuristic dental movie set. Nothing was really ever fixed I went to another orthodontist who proceeded to ask me who the hell did what they did to my mouth and asked for names and proceeded to tell me what they did was NOT in practice. Over these 3 years I had mentioned this first encounter with braces to many dentists and even oral surgeons all of which had nothing but negative things to say and some of which even had their own similar experiences with them specifically. They all warn of the orthodontists at bluefish and I do as well NOT THE PLACE FOR BRACES JUST ASK AROUND. They are the bottom of the barrel and extremely disrespectful. I had only one bad experience with a cleaning there so as far as that goes I cannot complain. 3 years lots of money down the drain, lots of pain, frustration and all for nothing.

While I am a busy new mom and cannot commit this time right now, I fell in love with this philanthropic concept. I am so glad I chose to get my braces with Dr. Panchura and my teeth are already so straight after only 4 months (they weren't too crooked to begin with and just shifted after my wisdom teeth came in). My daughter is currently a patient there and has had her braces on now for almost a year. She has been very happy with Dr. Panchura and her staff. Although braces can be pretty uncomfortable at times, my daughter has been very happy with the results. As a parent, what is very cool is that they allow parents and patients to do volunteer work in the community and use the time worked towards the ortho bill. You are allowed to use hours worth 50% of the cost of services. Each hour of volunteer work equals $10 towards your bill. For example, if the visit costs $100 you can use 5 volunteer hours and pay $50 to meet the obligation of $100. My hesitations on five stars is that while they try to be accommodating, they are only in the office a few select days a month. They also have an office in Redmond with limited hours and Bend patients are welcome there as well. Also, only the doctor is able to talk about projected treatment which means that you have to talk to her while you child is at an appointment. I was trying to figure out how many volunteer hours I would need going forward, just an estimate and the staff was unable to give me that information. So, just a couple of small inconveniences.
