We had a very good experience in Brass Tap. Atmosphere, food, service was a high level. A waiter offer us a few games for a kids. We hardly took kids out of this place. They wanted play and have fun. Has so much untapped potential...sadly. This place could have been amazing! The service is decent but distracted/talking with coworkers, the cooks eat in the kitchen while cooking your food (open kitchen so you can see them chewing while making your food), the food is sysco's mediocre variety with no presentation and no effort made (burger is small patty that came already formed by supplier, fries are undercooked/greasy and disgusting)... there is no effort given here whatsoever to make food that is "craft" or worthy of the pricing. The beer choices are many but so random... Sure hope this place figures out if they want to be a bar or a craft kitchen or both...right now it fails at all the above! read more

You are racially profiled as soon as you walk in and employees will gather in a circle and state stare at you as if you do not belong and won't attempt to greet you nor look your way. I would love the owners to pull surveillance before I contact local new stations and post the treatment on social media. I am completely disgusted and saddened this is still occurring in this day and age. To walk out and not even eat speaks volumes with how we felt. If you are a person of color or mixed this is NOT the franchise to support. First of all the food is good and service is Decent. The beer selection is ok but could have some improvement. Here lies the problem its very corporate or corporate feeling. My wife and I had dinner and beers here on the day they opened. My wife wanted a half pour of beer but was told we can't do that. However, we can offer you a 2 ounce sample. When she asked if she could pay FULL price for a beer but get an empty 10 ounce glass and pour the 10 ounce of her full priced beer in the 10 ounce glass and then they could discard the remaining 6 ounces again she was told "No we cant do that". First of all its not like we were asking for a discount, she just drinks smaller pours. We would probably go back but it is not that "craft" feel. I've been coming to this establishment since they opened. I've had nothing but great experiences and service from the owners and the wait staff. The happy hours and the selection of craft beers is good and always interesting. The food is always excellent. Coraline and her husband have done a great job and continue to do a amazing job in my local neighborhood pub. Sometimes the service can be slow and that's okay with me. I come to the Brass Tap to slow down and enjoy their beer garden ambience and relaxed setting. They also have lots of fun activities trivia, bingo, karaoke, and live music throughout the week. I've heard the owner's dream to own and operate a local craft beer establishment and that's one of the most American things I can believe in. read more

This was bad from start to finish. This was the second time in a row we've been there and the first time, the kitchen came out to apologize about the food taking over an hour to come out. Well as far as this time, arrived at 5:45 pm. Ordered drinks and then they disappeared. Ordered food and hour later and 1.5 hours after ordering, the staff told us that they think the kitchen was overwhelmed and threw our ticket away. They said we weren't the only table it happened to. We were sitting at the bar and it was literally 30-40 minutes of our glass being empty before anyone came to ask us if we wanted an another drink. We finally asked to cancel our food and just bring the check for our drinks. They then brought us the check with all of the food on it, which we never even received. Finally the bar tender said she would take care of it and we can just go. She had requested the manager come by and talk to us, but after about 15 minutes, he never came and I think she gave up on him also. read more

Let me start by saying I did not think we are still in the Jim Crow era! So first my mom seen this place on Social media and though maybe we should try because food look really good! My mom, my sisters and my daughter arrive, and we all are getting out of the cars individually, so me and my sister walk in first waiting for our mom and our other sister to come in from the rain. We are standing at the door, and the staff looks our way and gather in the back corner by the bar and just stare at us like what are we doing here. (Let me say that this place only had one party of 4 women at the time in the whole restaurant) Usually when you walk into a place of business you are usually greeted and directed to either wait for a waiter or self seating. My mom and my other sister walks in the restaurant and me and my sister have this awkward look on our face because we can feel the eyes still just staring at us with still NO GREET! My mom had to yell across the restaurant to ask do we sit any where or would you like us to wait? So I guess one of the girls finally decided to use their words and tell us to sit anywhere. After that we all said NO! We felt like we were Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy and the movie LIFE when they walked into an all white restaurant. Just know I was so anxious to try their food, but I guess I will never know because I will not be back and I will definitely pass along my experience my friends and family. Owners- I really hope you are talking to your staff and I am a manager myself and if I was to ever hear or see my associates in the act of doing something like this, it would have been a correct of action immediately. read more

Went to this place over the weekend. They have without question, the best fish and chips my wife and I have ever had... and we've been to many places for fish and chips. Waitress didn't even ask if we wanted it to go or if there was a problem, just brought the check and left. Food was absolutely atrocious! I went there with my friend and Goddaughter and we were all starving. Usually any food tastes good when you're starving, but not this place. We ordered a skillet, donut holes, salsa, guacamole, queso and a hangover burger. It says it's an Angus burger in the menu, but no way was this angus beef. It was cheap awful beef like something you'd find at Jack in The Box. The tater tots were dry and something that was frozen that they just threw in the microwave and were cold when they got to us. The trio, guacamole, queso & salsa were the worst I ever had. All the food there comes out of a can and nothing is fresh. My stomach is hurting now from eating that food because it's all badly processed. To top it off, this atrocious food costed up $66 plus we tipped the waiter 20% because it wasn't his fault that the food was so horrible. The service was actually good and the food came out fast, but it is very poor quality food. Actually I wouldn't even call it food. It's highly processed garbage that tastes awful. We'll never go back to this place. I'd rather fast and just not eat. I'm not a picky either. I usually will eat anything, but when I come across food that's even worse than fast food restaurants, I have to warn others not to waste their time or money on food that tastes awful that will hurt your stomach because it's highly processed and your body won't be able to digest it. read more

Good happy hour appetizers, but beer selection is very limited for a discounted price. Service was good. We later ordered tater tits with cheese and brisket. Yuck! Brisket looked like fake meat and had little flavor. The cheese was like Rico's nacho cheese-and the price was outrageous- either $13 or $14. My main complaint was the long wire/old fashion bulbs hanging above 3 long tables in the center. The are so bright that they reflect on most of the TVs and we were trying to watch the Astros. We had brunch there last weekend. We ordered 4 items between 2 people. 2 of the items came out cold - uncooked (like gooey dough) cinnamon roll pancake, and the breakfast burrito. Regarding the burrito, I don't mean room temp. I mean cold, like all the fixings came out of the fridge and got wrapped out and it wasn't microwaved long enough to get it hot. And yes, that's how they cooked it - in a microwave. Super obvious. Service was mediocre. The staff was polite but not very prompt. We sat there for 7 minutes upon entering, even though the place had maybe 4 tables sat. Doubtful we'll ever go back. read more
