This place was cool for happy hour. The drinks are good and worth it. Even the food we got was delicious, great price and sharable. Staff were shifty as they were busy or overwhelmed. They were hard to grab, even sitting at the bar. They kept forgetting stuff we asked for. I would definitely come back. Fun vibe!

Returning to a favorite spot for a drink and light bites. The restaurant/bar located in Katy Asian Town has great music, skilled bartenders with an extensive drink menu. The dining menu offers mostly small plates but a few large plate items are offered. I can't single out a single favorite from the list of thirty so do as I do and enjoy them one by one. Great service always adds to the experience when the staff seem to genuinely enjoy and appreciate your visits.

Great atmosphere with friendly staff, good music, and plenty of space and parking. One of the best spots for daily happy hour--always a welcoming vibe and a great place to relax.

My boyfriend and I always love to go to Giau. Great finger foods and drinks. We are a fan of their espresso and matcha martini. They were so good!! Happy hour its before 7pm so come by and check it out. Food ratings: - Avocado bomb with wonton chips (10/10): its always been my favorite. Love the tobiko, avocado, imitation crab and wonton chips combination. - Banh bot chien (9/10): the crunchiness and texture is exactly like those in Saigon. Deducted one point because they dont have papaya salad or salted radish. - Wings (8/10) : flavor is great but it wasn't crunchy enough for me because of the wet sauce. But definitely a great finger foods, especially if you go during HH - Quail (7/10) : bf liked it but a tad dry for me - Skewers (8/10): flavor was excellent. Deducted 2 stars but I need some fat on my beef. - Grilled oysters (6/10) : a tad too salty and the flavor just doesn't go well with oysters. Overall, I love Giau in Katy. Perfect date night in the neighborhood.

My partner and I came here to eat late at night because it had good ratings on Yelp & was convenient to the location of our hotel. All of our food arrived fairly quickly and the service was great. Decent oyster shooters and I appreciated that they weren't stingy with the tobiko on the oysters. Can't wait to come back again when we're in town.

Even through the years, Giau remains one of my favorite spots to hang out. There have been some recent changes to the menu to make room for new foods and drinks. Wether I'm here for one, or the other, or both... GiAu never disappoints. My favorite foods to order have to be the oysters with Tobiko, Mango Squid Salad, and the Chicken feet. As for the drinks, I honestly just tell the bartenders what I like and they'll hit the nail on the head with their recommendations. And if you ask nicely, they might even whip you up something new. They've even got daily specials along with a daily happy hour. The vibes here are all over the place. Some days are quiet (usually weekdays) and other days are full of energy, lots of people and loud music. DJs play on Friday and Saturday from 9 til close. Overall, great food and drinks paired with good service and good vibes. Highly recommend.

The wings were the best I ever had! I wanted to lick the plate lol! And the edamame were good too, but a bit over drenched. Came to watch the fight and there are plenty of TV's. Service was kind and efficient and the drinks were good too. Cool vibe over all to check out

I've dined here twice in the past two years, and I don't know why I don't do it more often! Their food is so good, and the service is great! Everything always comes out fresh, and plentiful that I never fail to over order for just two people! Bánh bột chiên- 4/5 if you like it super insanely crunchy, this is your place! I prefer crunchy on the outside, but still soft and chewy in the center to each bite of the turnip cake! Mini chả giò- 5/5 idk how you can mess this one up. It's good. Order it! Nước mắm (fish sauce) is even better! Gỏi ốc hùng (snail salad) - 5/5 texture heaven! I love all the crunch from the fresh veggies, and the chewyness from the sliced snails! So yummy!! Oyster- 3/5 too much tobiko... it was overwhelming! Had to scoop some off to enjoy it better. Bulgogi crostini's- 5/5 meat was perfectly marinated and tender! Love the topper of the fried quail egg!

One of my favorite spots to eat and drink. Their food is top tier and they open late for your late night cravings. They also offer bottle service and I come here for every occasion because they have bottle service specials! My go to spot, service is immaculate. Their live Dj's are there on the weekends and we are always jamming, vibes are awesome.

If you're here for drunken food. I would definitely recommend. Very light but tasty foods. Quail balut 5/5 Cute and petite. Love eating the reg balut but sometimes you just want something smaller. Oysters with masago 5/5 Pricey but my cravings got the best of me. If you add some soy sauce and sriracha, mmmm that thing can be addicting! Bo tai chanh (rare beef) 2/5 Liked the plating. Portion was good. Flavor was too sweet for my taste. Not enough lemon also for née. Curly fries 5/5 Good amounts. Good crunch. Mini eggrolls 5/5 Fave type of eggrolls. The fact that they are bite size is so cute.

They acted giddy and happy to help us put everything together, reassuring us that they would be there to support us on our big day. That all changed the moment they got paid. On the day of the event, we only saw the owners twice, and neither time was to help us. When I walked up to the owner to thank him for having us, his response was completely unprofessional: "Are you kidding? This is for you, you paid for it." The only other time he approached us was to aggressively complain about someone taking up two parking spots--and it wasn't even one of our guests. They also explicitly promised they would check on us throughout the event to see if we needed refills on water or drinks. They completely ghosted. We never saw them, and our guests were left without service. It has been three weeks since the event, and we haven't received a single follow-up call or text to ask how things went. They got their money and completely checked out. Nice place, but terrible owners and even worse service. Never again will we book with them. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about your business.

We were hoping to grab some food, drinks, and catch the WNBA games while we were there. From the moment we walked in, the hostess and bartenders were extremely welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed to find out that they didn't have WNBA League Pass--even though the Dream vs. Mercury game was actually listed on their clipboard of sporting events for the day. So, we ended up sitting in a sports bar watching the game on our phones. That was probably the biggest disappointment of the visit. Walk-On's is a sports bar, and practically every TV was showing preseason NFL games. Those games don't even count toward the regular season, while the WNBA game we wanted to watch had actual playoff implications. I would really love to see Walk-On's invest in WNBA League Pass and give patrons the opportunity to watch women's sports too. Women's sports deserve space on the TVs in sports bars just like men's sports do. Everyone Watches Women's Sports. Thankfully, the food and service were good enough that we stayed and still had a great time. I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos with chips and queso, and they were fabulous! My date ordered the redfish tacos and said they were amazing, and our friend had the gumbo. The crackers served with the gumbo tasted a little stale, but that was really our only complaint about the food. We all had drinks, our bartender was really cool, and overall it turned into a fun, spontaneous outing. We would definitely come back--but Walk-On's, get that WNBA League Pass! If you're going to be a sports bar, let us watch all the sports.

The restaurant wasn't very busy--just a few guests having lunch--but it seemed like only the bartender was working. Despite that, she handled everything really well, taking care of the bar and tables while still being attentive to us when we walked in. She greeted us promptly and made the takeout process smooth and easy. We ordered the chicken quesadillas, and they did not disappoint. The portion size was generous and came with pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole--exactly what my wife was hoping for. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only downside was the price. At around $15 plus a 20% tip, it came out to nearly $17, which felt a bit high for a quick takeout item. That said, the quality and convenience made it worth it. There was music playing, which gave the place a nice atmosphere even though it was a quiet Tuesday afternoon.
