This place is still amazing! They have so many great offerings but I love their burgers! So juicy and flavorful! Prepared perfectly! Also had great service! Highly recommend this place for a casual atmosphere with delicious food!

While I didn't try much here, I don't think I'll be back. It's hard to mess up brussel sprouts but these were genuinely the worst I've ever had. They were barely cooked, and had no flavor whatsoever. It's as if they dropped them in hot water and then served. Not. Even. Salt. Anyways, the martini was fairly good but the ambiance was strange. It's as if they were trying to be a country bar but they were in a city shopping/movie center, didn't fit very well. Menu is huge, but genuinely don't know where the good reviews come from? Zero complaints. Great food and wonderful staff. If you are in town you should stop in. Lots of draft beer, get the green ale. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life.

We popped in on a Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere. Football on TV, not too loud inside. We ordered the Mac 'n Cheese bites with pablano sauce, it was a hit! Very cristy outside, not much oil, and delicious cheesy center. The sauce gave it a yummy kick. We also enjoyed the pickle chips, also 10/10. Light crispy batter, tasted fresh, and an amazing dill pickle zing! Finally we ordered the buffalo wings. No disappointment there!! Again, very crispy with a delicious buffalo sauce. They were great and they weren't drowned in sauce. All delicious appetizers! We will be back!

Alcohol free I think. We wanted alcohol and got none.

First, Ashley (server) was fantastic. She explained their menu and checked in on us. Drinks: We got the margarita flight on the rock; nice touch and variety. Although not much alcohol in them. A little stingy on the pour. Lost a star. Food: Pretzel and white cheese. This is the reason for 2 stars being deducted. The pretzel was small and hard. The cheese cold. We only ate a bite or two. I wanted to send it back; but was talked out of it. Horrible snack. We went on Whiskey Wednesday. Might have to give it another shot in a few months. Need to get the horrible taste of the pretzel out of our system.

Great staff. Solid food (for me it's the kind of place to grab apps and such). Good draft selections. Overall a nice place to unwind after work for a quick drink or two.

Choose your brew... they carry the standard brands too, if you're not adventurous.

Took our beagle to the outside seating for late lunch/grazing. OH, HELL YEAH! The Knee Deep Pale Ale was recommended and it did not disappoint. Since we were in a snacking mood, we split the Fish n Chips. After decades of disappointment, I should know better... but SURPRISE, SURPRISE! Damn, this was firm Atlantic Cod with a crisp, flaky, light crust. Was it good? No, it was FREAKIN' EPIC-DELICIOUS! The crinkle-cut fries begged us, "no catsup", and the coleslaw was light and tasty. Our Waitress, J, was perfectly attentive and nice. The prices are on a par with everyone else, but the experience was way over the others' heads. Sure, the weather cooperated to make for a perfect afternoon, but COME ON... how many times has a subpar experience ruined your afternoon? Lots, huh? Well, if you're In a mood for some brews and a nosh, go to The Brass Tap! It's right next to the Studio Movie Grill in Rocklin.

Wow! A new and built from the ground up building in the upcoming City of Marina, California. Over 25 TV's and a large video screen. 140 plus craft beers. You'll want to check out all the taps that actually are brass and pour delicious local, domestic and international beers. There's a full bar too. We love the food! I'm originally from the Midwest and the cheese curds are yummy! Also, the taco plate, salads and pizza! There's a wide variety of food for all ages. Go out to the artificial turf lawn area to enjoy the sun, the ocean air and some outdoor games. Thank you to Karl and his family for giving us this great community place for friends and families.

Went to The Brass Tap tonight for the first time and for my wife's early birthday celebration. A few highlights: 1. Service and ambiance are fantastic, especially if you love sports. Service truly was the hero, but more on other good stuff and opportunities to come. 2. Drinks - My wife had a nice Chardonnay and I enjoyed one of the many fantastic brews on draft and in bottle. A small nit pick would be if you arrive during happy hour and last drinks just served outside of happy hour, as it was busy, let's not upcharge as if we arrived after happy hour ended. 3. Food - We ordered a small appetizer of loaded crinkle cut fries. If you don't like sour cream, make sure to ask for it to be left off, but bacon, cheese, and fries together were awesome. The Mrs asked for sliced jalapeños on top and wouldn't you know, they were freshly cut vs jar bought. Kudos and truly made the difference. We moved into dinner and it didn't miss, in fact, my wife's soft tacos and my flat bread option were both very good. With the soft tacos, the chips and salsa (nice kick) were spot on!! Not looking for an area to critique, but the restaurant could use some detail on the walls and a revamp of the falling apart and extremely dirty menus, but the outstanding service with a smile won over the visit. Guess one last thing I would mention, as I overheard one employee, try to explain the best they could do was window tint doing very little to stop setting sun from blinding so many, would be to but rollable shades on all windows. I thank you for making the dinner enjoyable for my wife and the birthday wishes, right after we paid, were a special touch as well.

Ask the Community - The Brass Tap

Does this place have happy hour?

Yes they do, and the deals are pretty good.

Does this place have any spirits (preferably a decent scotch selection)?

I believe they have a full bar. When we go not everyone drinks beer but they are always able to get mixed drinks there.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!
