Our first stop at day drinking...my cousin talked about a watermelon margarita. I said you have me sold! It's a pretty spot, and there's the restaurant as well as the large bar area, I loved the hanging lights and dark spot. The menu was extensive and hard to narrow down, but I was able to go with these puff tacos which were ginormous, but oh so flavorful and tasty. The watermelon margarita was dangerously good that they should offer pitchers. There was also an horchata alcoholic drink that we decided to get as our dessert. The only thing which was pointed out by my cousin and also to the staff, was having music that matched the vibe some reggaeton, or latin but instead it was rock type music. I was told that on a Friday this place is the spot and people are bustling out as it's packed and the music is bumping. I would definitely come back for the watermelon margs and the great food!

Don Q's has 2 distinct spaces - a buffet style family cantina and a bar. We sat in the bar area which offered mostly high-top tables, bar seating, and wide screen TVs to view sporting events. The staff here hustle, making every effort to provide friendly, timely service. Our server, Juana, was gracious and helpful, offering suggestions from the menu that elevated our experience. The bartenders constantly scanned patrons sitting at the bar to provide efficient service. Tortilla chips are served with 3 types of salsa -- rojo, greens and bean dip w/ cotija. The shrimp ceviche appetizer is eye-pleasing, delicious, and exceptionally light on the palate with a kick of spiciness. Loved it! Crispy fish tacos were a hit. Between the grilled fish taco and grilled shrimp taco, the grilled fish taco was the standout as it was topped with a tangy Mexican cilantro sauce. Happy hour selections are available. The berry margarita appeared to be the most popular drink coming from the bar. Mocktails are also available. Din Q's is a short driving distance from the Westfield Galleria and major hotel chains (Hyatt, Hilton, Residence Inn).

We had a fantastic experience at Don Q's Cantina. We opted to sit on the bar side of the restaurant, which had a great atmosphere, and every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. The crunchy chicken tacos were perfectly crisp, and both the adobada and steak tacos were tender and packed with flavor. The pozole was rich and authentic, and everything paired perfectly with a cold draft beer and a refreshing house margarita. To top it all off, the service was great, attentive, and incredibly friendly. We will definitely be back!

I always enjoy the food her, plus like that you can sit and have an employee take the order and serve your meals. Plus they have a bar! This latest visit was odd. Employee took the order, did not write anything down. Brought wrong items because he didn't write down our order! Also forgo one item completely, then when all said and done charged us regular prices on the forgotten item rather than the happy hour price. Very incompetent service and frustrating!

Stopped by for a late night dinner. I went through the wrong door as this is separate from their restaurant. The Cantina has a bar and from reading the menu, it looks like they have a really good happy hour. Too bad it was after hours, lol. Their chips and salsa were not only free, but it came with three dipping sauces: the traditional tomato salsa, a creamy cilantro sauce and my favorite the bean and cheese dip. The chicken quesadilla I ordered was classically delicious. I really appreciated their generosity on the sour cream that came with it! Add any of their salsa dips for different unique flavors. Overall a great spot to eat and I'll be back to try their happy hour.

Don Q's has been my go-to spot for over the last year! They have incredible drinks and food as well as staff and bartenders. I always have the best time and experience whether I'm alone or with some girlfriends! Their happy hour is hard to beat in the area with amazing drink prices and food options!

4th visit August 2025: Arrived 4:30pm for happy hour menu (3pm - 6pm). Bambie and me ate and drank: shrimp cocktail, birria torta, street tacos, free chips and dips, Modelo Oscuro beer and Cadillac margarita. Ostensibly a cheap meal, but when you add up the bill it's really not a savings over ordering a regular priced combo plate. Problem: 2nd time this has happened and with the same server. He greets us friendly, seems adept. Takes our order without writing it. Bambie asks "You remember all that? He smiles and nods. And he screwed up 65% of the order. Brought out wrong items, forgot 2 of them. After we repeated our order he disappeared. Another employee took over our service. Then the bill was delivered with all the regular prices without the happy hour discounts. I love to eat here, the food can be delicious, but the service competence is low. Bambie prefers a sit down, order from an employee meal experience. That's not as important to me as the food quality. I think it's just easier to go to the other side of the wall and order from the cafeteria style restaurant. You get what you want, quickly. The food is just as good. And don't have to deal with a forgetful & neglectful waiter.

Love this spot for drinks and food but honestly return almost fully because the service and friendly staff make it an amazing experience every single time. If you want somewhere cute to sit at the bar on a date night or with friends, this is thee spot. Mady always has a big ol' smile on her face, continuously makes great recommendation, and is such a joy to chat with. Everything is clean, organized, well lit, great volume.

Do you want solid food for a great price? This is where to be. My mom and sister were visiting from Socal and on our way out to the airport we decided to get some eats. We showed up during Happy Hour and this is BY FAR the best deal I've ever come across. I forgot to take a picture of the menu, but there was a 3 taco, salad and alcoholic drink combo for $15. WHAT!? If you've ever been to Don Quixote's, it's literally the same exact food. Essentially Chipotle style but with much better ingredients. The real difference here from next door is that there are a few TVs and an extensive spirits menu at again, great/fair prices. The ambiance is a bit more upscale than next door. Service was a bit lacking, but I'll chock that up to some understaffing. Not going to hold anything back from this fine mom and pops owned establishment. Would definitely recommend!

Since I…read moredon't live nearby, I turned to Yelp and started calling places close to the mortuary where our family would be gathering. Pain Killers was the third place on my list. My first call went unanswered, and there wasn't an answering service. On my second call, I was able to leave a voicemail. When I called Pain Killers, a kind woman answered within two rings. I explained that I was looking for a venue to host a memorial gathering. She let me know that the person who could best assist me wasn't available but offered to take my number and have them return my call. Within 30 minutes, Austin called me back. We discussed what we were looking for, and as you can imagine, it's not an easy conversation to have with someone you've never met. From the very beginning, Austin's kindness and compassion stood out. His exact words were, "We want to be here for you during this difficult time." Those weren't just words--I could genuinely feel his sincerity, not only during that phone call but in every text message we exchanged over the following week. Each time I reached out, I'd say, "Ok, Austin, last question," only to think of another one shortly afterward. No matter how many times I contacted him, he remained patient, understanding, and accommodating. He answered every question, responded promptly, and never once made me feel like I was asking too much. In the end, it was decided to keep the entire day's gathering at a church rather than the mortuary, so we didn't end up going to Pain Killers. Even so, I wanted to recognize Austin for the exceptional level of customer service and genuine compassion he showed during one of the most difficult times. The next time I'm in the Rocklin area, I plan to stop by, say hello to Austin, and make sure to give Pain Killers some well-deserved business. Thank you, Austin, for reminding me that kindness and empathy still go a long way.

The whole idea of Tap Houses really does appeal to me…read more I love being able to just grab a glass and seeing all the beers on the wall and picking what I want and how much I want. The people who run Waymaker Brewing in Roseville are doing this at the highest level. I've been to this location a few times for different events and every time a wonderful time was had. So as far as the beers go they have around 40 different beers on tap and also they have 10 wines on tap as well. So exactly how it works is this- When you walk in you give them a credit/debit card-then they give you a wristband-next you grab a glass and go pick your beer or wine and you get charged by the ounce you actually pour rather than by the glass size. Then at the end of the visit, you turn in your wristbands and you get charged whatever it is you poured in total for the visit-I love the entire concept. It's a great way to be able to try many types of beer instead of just a few big beers. Now let's talk about the elephant in the room for Waymaker. The thing that makes this place unique is they have 6 golf simulators a person can rent depending on day and time anywhere from $35-$60 an hour and up to 6 people can play on the simulator at one time. On these simulators there are more than 200 virtual courses available. It's a crazy amount of fun for golfers of all skill levels There is also a hand roll sushi bar inside called Fire Fish where one can order sushi-hand rolls-flatbreads or various small plates. It really is an amazing place. They also have a massive big screen in the back that is furnished with comfortable couches and chairs in case one wants to just hangout and watch whatever live sporting event is happening that visit. Let's see my last few visits I've gone with my son and we played a round of golf at Pebble Beach on the simulator. I've gone to a birthday party for my boss and we had 2 simulators rented and we ate sushi rolls and flatbread while drinking a lot of beer. I've gone to do after work drinks with a friend while watching NBA playoff basketball. Visits to Waymaker can be so many things but I can say for sure every visit will be fun. So if you find yourself out in Roseville and want to try something a little different-head on out to Waymaker Brewing, it really is a great time. PS. Parking is a breeze as they share a big lot with lots of spaces with other businesses.

Me and my husband are novice golfers and thought it'd be fun for practice and with our family (took our 7yo and MIL). Pros: Very cool concept. Loved that we could practice our swings, use different clubs, and be able to see all of our specs. Loved the idea that they had sushi cause it's our kids favorite. And loved that they had not just beers, but a good variety of seltzers, ciders and even wine on tap! Cons: VERY limited food menu. What they had listed on their website was NOT what they had available for purchase. There were only maybe 10 food items to choose from, and very high priced for what it was. A couple of hand rolls (1 each for $8-$10), Poke Nachos (on tortilla chips - big no no! - use wonton chips!) for $20 (price ok since you got a few small pieces of fish per chip, but they skimped by using tortilla chips, on both price and flavor! And they had 3-4 sushi rolls. Their "special" roll being $20 alone. There wasn't really anything special about it. Definitely not worth $20!! The fish tasted fresh, but so does the local sushi place down the street with massive rolls, full of fish, for $16-18/roll. So don't expect much from the food. I went to ask the guy at the front of if it was user error on the mobile app... he said that they run out of food and when that happens, they just take it off the menu. LAME! Put a disclaimer on your website! Additionally, the guy at the front desk (upon check in) - unhelpful! He asked us if it was our first time, which it was. He set us up and told us if we had questions to just come ask. We did, and each time he seemed like it was more of an annoyance that we were taking him away from his phone time (that he was on every time I went to ask a question). And instead of explaining to us how things work, and how to maneuver through the screens and set things up, he just did what we asked/needed without showing us so we could never fix it or do it ourselves. We figured some things out on our own, but if you have newbies, it would be worth showing them how to use the system so it doesn't take a ton of our paid for time (at $50/hour) to figure things out. Such a waste and makes the cost to worth ratio deteriorate very quickly. So overall, would we go back. Maybe. Definitely not with our kid (which makes it more rare that we'd return). I like to give everything a second try. But for the cost, it would take some convincing and a MUCH better second experience for me to ever go back or recommend this place to friends.

You can imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon this bar/gaming room with the funny German sounding name when I realized it was a glorified pinball arcade room that also served beer. This place is straight amazing-50+ of the greatest pinball machines are available to play. They do use the "game-card" system to pay for these games, which can make playing these games way too easy-games tend to cost about $1 a game in game credits to play, which is far more than I paid when I was an 8 year old kid but then again, that was 45 years ago. They have a pretty solid beer selection-beers tend to go for anywhere between $7-$8 a beer-not too bad in my opinion.Though they do offer a pretty unique item called "Das Boot" which is a pretty large boot that cost $40 and comes with a fill up at time of purchase and 20% off on future fill ups-though not sure what the original cost of a fill up is exactly. One massive upgrade I've learned in the pinball world is nowadays you can download an app by Stern Inc,the majority manufacturer of most of the popular pinball machines and you can register your pinball play and it will keep tabs of everywhere u play and all the scores u achieved on the various pinball machines-I really enjoyed this feature-I only wish they had this when I was in my prime of pinball play when I was a youth. This place doesn't have the best hours but I'm sure there is a reason for these hours-M-F the hours are 5p-10p and on weekends they open at 12p... The beers and ciders on tap are all mostly from small, local makers and under $10/pint. They also have plenty of NA drink options.
