I like to work from Merry Cafe from time to time when I need a break from my home office, and I've…read morebecome pretty fond of the place. The cafe itself is bright and sunny, with a handful of tables and counters to sit at. There's always a steady stream of business, but it's relatively quiet, which makes it a nice place to get some work done. They also have tons of games and books to keep your little ones entertained. It's a pretty simple spot, but they have a relatively big menu for a cute little neighborhood spot. You can get everything from ice cream and acai bowls to pastries and breakfast classics. There's nothing too crazy or creative about their offerings, but everything I've tried has been tasty. My go-tos here are the breakfast burrito, smoothies, and the mediterranean avocado toast--and don't sleep on the homemade pop-tarts when they have them! I also almost always grab a latte with one of their many, many flavored syrup options. If you're looking for an upscale city cafe with unique, artisanal offerings, this ain't it. But the food is good, the staff is so friendly, and it's got a really nice community feel. I'm a fan!

The cafe space is fairly small with some inside seating but plenty of outside seating. The menu is fairly basic with various espresso drink options but they also had some creative teas and low/no caffeine drinks. There is also a bakery display with sweet and savory pastries. Once we heard they were handmade by the owner, I opted to try the beef pastellito. It was very savory and depth in flavor. I was told it had a 5 cheese blend and could taste at least 3! The shop was small and seemed to be a one-man show. He was very friendly and personable and told us there was hopes for a larger space. I just hope it stays close by!

The old train station vibes are there--located inside of a historic building, Copper City is very vibey both inside and out. What I got was a sad excuse for a cappuccino -- not even hot, not even filled to the top, and somehow it still cost $5. How can you call yourself a coffee shop when you don't have a coffee machine, no espresso machine, and no way to properly froth milk? It feels dishonest and careless to serve something like this and charge that much for it. Coffee is supposed to be enjoyable, not a disappointment. If you care about quality or authenticity, this is definitely not the place to go.
