My everyday coffee... consistent every time. The food and service is great as well. I love the owner!

I like to work from Merry Cafe from time to time when I need a break from my home office, and I've become pretty fond of the place. The cafe itself is bright and sunny, with a handful of tables and counters to sit at. There's always a steady stream of business, but it's relatively quiet, which makes it a nice place to get some work done. They also have tons of games and books to keep your little ones entertained. It's a pretty simple spot, but they have a relatively big menu for a cute little neighborhood spot. You can get everything from ice cream and acai bowls to pastries and breakfast classics. There's nothing too crazy or creative about their offerings, but everything I've tried has been tasty. My go-tos here are the breakfast burrito, smoothies, and the mediterranean avocado toast--and don't sleep on the homemade pop-tarts when they have them! I also almost always grab a latte with one of their many, many flavored syrup options. If you're looking for an upscale city cafe with unique, artisanal offerings, this ain't it. But the food is good, the staff is so friendly, and it's got a really nice community feel. I'm a fan! read more

I had a horrific experience at the unmerry cafe..I was treated like a vagrant and the nasty manager called the police to watch me fuckin A. I dropped my phone in the Charles river. I asked if I could charge it to get a few bars for directions. Thechurhs there were doing jack shit. I ordered a cake pop for Father's Day. She said my debit card didn't work. Probably got wet. The staff was sneaky and stupid.. the manager was nasty . She kept watching me. I bought some jimmies without the ice cream..also played with the giant Jenga blocks. Adults do that where I come from. So sorry I stopped in that stuck up cafe as a traveler in distress. There was nothing merry in my experience. I still can't believe the bitch called the cops. Maybe it was my hippie skirt and faded grateful dead t shirt. I will never return thanks for making a traveler feel like shit. Sorry, I forgot to pack my yoga pants. read more

Wow! I really love this place after one visit! I have been getting my hair cut and never venture in this direction to Merry Cafe. Driving at 35mph i caught a glimpse of the cafe with all its large windows and friendly faces sitting inside. I had to bang a "uie" to come back and check it out, so glad i did. Great ambiance. Absolutely spacious inside and well-maintained and clean. Large and small tables and plenty of seats at the window's long bat overlooking the sidewalk and street. Amazing bakery items they prepare themselves. I opted for a blueberry scone to go with my coffee and it was very good. I also had the Breakfast Burrito since it was lunchtime and it was delish, put DD to shame. The server was also very pleasant and quick to prepare my goods and explain the different bakery items. I will be coming back here every chance i get! read more

So I walk in with a colleague. We expected much more from the "Merry Cafe " it was a girl with brown hair who seemed to be in a huge hurry. No time to think. My colleague ordered a drink. After rubbing her forehead and pulling her fingers through her hair. She dumped a paper cup full of fruit into a blender. She never even washed her hands it's like OMG ! The tables were dirty with crumbs. Definitely not a good first impression after feeling that horrible vibe and witnessed the dirty hands i did not order anything. Very disappointed personality wise, and service wise . We or anyone from our office will stop by again not to mention she totally made the wrong drink. . Yuck. read more

I got a flavored iced coffee and a muffin. The muffin was good, and the iced coffee (choc raspberry) was not. It tasted burnt, then iced. I wouldn't have minded and probably would have stayed to enjoy the café, but there was a massive TV playing Fox News right behind the register. I immediately felt the space was politically charged and uninviting. Ironic name. I wouldn't recommend people go there seeing as though the owners clearly thought this was appropriate. Shame. Very good breakfast sandwiches. The employees work really hard, I seen one girl make like 6 coffees, answer the phone, and get my breakfast sandwich. Very clean inside too, you can see everything like where stuff gets made or whatever. Good operation over there! read more

It is nice to have a new local coffee shop. I love the atmosphere. Hi-top tables are nice, but there should be accessible seating indoors. There is comfortable outdoor seating and parking is convenient. The iced coffee was great! Chocolate croissant was okay. I plan to return to try the ice cream. read more

Very impressed with this new place. Very clean and a great variety between, bakery, ice cream and desserts. Bacon egg and cheese is excellent. I've had it 3-4 times on bagels. Hard to explain but just really fresh and the bacon is plentiful and cooked perfectly with no fat. Also pleasantly surprised by coffee. Had a few flavors and all delicious. Cinnamon bun especially good. Don't usually get both combo items so good. Have not had the ice cream yet but look yummy. Just wish I lived a bit closer but worth the travel across town. read more

A great place to bring the family Merry Cafe's coffee is the best around I recommend their latte. Awesome selection of ice cream, pastries and sandwiches. they are one of the only local places that offer vegan options (even chickpea-tuna!). Happy to have this place in my town. read more

I had the coffee there twice and I had gotten different flavors and it tasted the same each time. The first time I had chocolate mint. I tasted the chocolate but I didn't taste the mint. The second time I got S'mores coffee and I only tasted the chocolate not the ginger or the marshmallow. Also, both times I did not smell baking going on in the kitchen. Do they really make muffins and whoopie pies on site? The Whoopie pies looked exactly like the whoopie pies I get at Stop & Shop. read more
