Was walking around the area looking for a drink and found the brew inn - it seemed like a cool, lowkey neighborhood spot so we popped in. It definitely lived up to the neighborhood pub vibe, as the bartenders made us feel right at home despite us having never been! Your standard beer/drink selection, and while we weren't hungry, the food looked and smelled incredible.. the burgers looked top notch, the onion rings smelled amazing, the pretzels were huge. We have added it to our restaurants to try next time we are nearby!

As a Greenpointer for over a decade, I have been to Brew Inn dozens of times. Honestly, this less-than-good review is not about the quality of the food, which is usually quite good. Nor is this about the service, which is what you'd expect for a Brooklyn pub -- slow, bartender(s) chatting with friends and staring at their phones instead of actually serving. Standard, though no big deal. This is about how expensive The Brew Inn has gotten in just the last several months. I realize there is inflation and the price of things has gone up, but how do you justify pricing a burger at $17 just a couple of months ago to increasing it to $22?!? That's almost a 33% increase in just a few weeks. And as if that wasn't slightly alarming to see, when the bartender gave me my initial check, it had the two beers and the burger I ordered along with the tax. Cool. I gave him my card and off he went. But when he came back there was a new, additional charge of $1.59 called a "Cust Serv Chg." Not that $1.59 is a ton of money but wth is it for? They've never done that before and it's like ... why?? I ate and drank there as usual -- so no delivery -- and there's a separate tip, as always, and it was only me, so why are you charging me more for the privilege of charging me more (see the above $5 price increase on a burger since January)? Seems like a covert and needless way of gouging customers, Brew Inn. Lame.

We came here the other day with a large group and there wasn't space inside for us, but we were able to get seated at one of the tables outside. The bartender was friendly and helpful in assisting people with choosing drinks. The drink prices weren't bad. We wanted to order food here, but sadly the didn't really have any gluten free options, and also the prices seemed very high for bar food. There were QR codes for a menu, but sadly it wasn't accurate, so fixing that would be helpful.

The Brew Inn is near by my friend apartment so she always come after work. After we went to a restaurant we still wanted to go out so she brought us here. Bartender kindda tough with us especially one of my friend I don't know why and she is not happy about it. We also see the bartender yell at another customer out loud so maybe it is just his personality. Only thing that good about this place is the bar open until late night. Anyway If I have a choice I won't come back to this bar.

As someone who has come to this bar regularly to watch Knicks playoff games, I can confidently say…read moreI will never return after what happened during the NBA Finals last night. What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks
