I really don't understand the one star reviews. The burgers and fries are pretty damn good and stand up next to most of the burgers in the hood, without the price tag. The beer selection is good..they have some really cheap beers (which is a rarity in gpt these days) and NYS brewery craft beers. I am not sure why someone would give a bar a one star review b/c you dislike the decor...that is some vapid, pretentious nonsense. I don't love the decor but I am not offended by it that I would avoid this place. All of the bartenders I have encountered have been super nice...I agree with the mismanagement part...at times, they are understaffed and the credit card swipe has been busted for months...the bartenders need to enter in the credit card numbers each time. This place is D.O.P.E. Dependable, On point, Pretty amazing, Excellent beer. They are revamping their menu, so if it looks boring on their website, still take the trip out to hear what the "specials" are. Our waitress, who was very friendly and accommodating, recommended their new burger: beef patty with pepper jack cheese, arugula, bacon, blue cheese, and buffalo sauce, on a toasted bun. I CAN NOT EVEN BEGIN TO TELL YOU HOW BOMB THIS BURGER WAS!!!! The patty was so juicy, cooked to perfection, and all of the very powerful flavors and subtle flavors worked amazingly together. I highly recommend you get this burger! And if you are vegetarian... well... I am sorry and God bless you. I love the ambiance, pretty chill and laid back (I walked in on a Friday night with my ripped and paint stained Carhartt's and a stinky pair of Tevas, felt right at home!) . What a disappointment, I really want to like this bar. It's in my neighborhood, the food is decent, but the service isn't good. The people there are friendly but needs to get their shit together. I love this place and go here about once a week. Their brunch and beer selection is amazing! And the bartenders are great and personable. Te reason I'm giving it three stars is because... A. Yet have little to no vegetarian options on there dinner menu. B. I've gone there twice to early to watch a game and felt very un wanted by the guy behind the bar who I've never seen before. Ive been there before they got their liquor license and it was kinda ok, nothing fancy, but still ok. I have to say that after they got the license apparently things went downhill. They didnt have at least 10 of the tabs, which was alright - there were still plenty. However, all 3 beers we got were incredibly flat. Food was overpriced and not worth it - we got 2 salads which basically tasted like something you can mix from yesterdays leftovers. Shrimp was definitely not fresh, and tasted very chewy. However, service was great and thats why they get 2 stars. I hope they will get it and start doing things the right way. Came in around 10pm on a Sunday, every indoor table was empty except ours but the bar was pretty full. They were playing great music that I can't remember now, but it was possibly bluegrassy. The decor is cozy and intimate but also casual, lots of wood, cute bathroom graffiti (itty bitty bathrooms). The burger was solid but not something I would come out of my way for. I ordered the Harvest, which comes with mushrooms, onions, greens, BBQ sauce, cheese, and I added bacon. The burger is huge and the fixins generous too, but despite the menu specifying the burger would be medium rare it came out well done. The greens were too delicate for such a heavy, saucy burger and got wilted and soggy. I wasn't a fan of whatever the mushrooms were cooked in, or the BBQ sauce, but they had what I think was Sriracha mayo on the table and that was delicious. I put it liberally on my burger, tater tots, and wedges. Speaking of, potatoes are what these guys do best. The tots and the wedges were both cooked to perfection! And the tots are great the next morning. We also got a plate of pulled pork that was very good, completely shredded. Service was spotty, the bartender was the one taking orders and could have used a waitress. People sitting outside had to come in to speak to her, and even we had to get up and go to the bar for most things. She was a super sweet girl but needed an extra hand. This place was a little slice of heaven. Not expensive and great deals; $12 for a beer and a burger until 7 everyday during happy hour and $2.00 off pints; can't get much better than that. Walked from Williamsburg in the cold, and it was worth every step. Probably was faster than waiting for the G, which pulls virtually right up to the place, but the G sucks. One of the best burgers I've had in Brooklyn, and I would put it up there with some of the better ones in the city. The staff was friendly, too. Came in on a Living Social deal, but I would return without it, as would the person I went with. Not only were the burgers great with big strips of the crispiest bacon, but the grilled pirogi appetizer remained true to the neighborhood, but was served with modern accoutrements. The concept for the beer menu is New York brewers; all well and good, but my favorite brewers aren't from New York, and I would like to see the Long Island craft scene represented beyond Blue Point (which is slated to become a micro-brewer now that it's been bought by Budweiser), Long Ireland, Barrier, more of that would be good, to keep it "local". read more

I accidentally left my wallet in Brooklyn while I was staying in Manhattan and had to shlep all the way back to retrieve it, so I figured I'd get myself a beer for my troubles. The Brew Inn was the closest bar, and I guess I got lucky! Beer selection was good -- a few national beers that seemed well chosen (Bells Two Hearted, Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin) with some local/regional options that were also very good. Service was friendly and helpful, but never overbearing. Drinks were quick and the food (I got the pierogis) was acceptably quick, and served hot enough that I knew it was fresh from the fryer. I liked the feel of the place, casual but not dirty or neglected. Despite being a tourist from Kansas, I felt comfortable there. I hope I get to go back someday! read more

Everything is fantastic here! I've had pretty much everything on the menu. Top faves are the chicken sandwich, all the burgers are fantastic and huge! I love the warm kale salad as a side or a whole meal sometimes with chicken. The totchos are delish, pirogies and the wings. Even brunch is great. My go to is the breakfast tacos and several bloody Mary's. The staff is excellent, super friendly and attentive. It's packed most nights with a really great atmosphere. I really had a great experience there! I did get there on a rather rainy day and wanted to see what was there now as last time it was a different, more of a Polish food place. Now it's turned into a brew pub with a long bar, TV's and decor made of recycled wood. It's rather casual and they have outside street side seating too ( didn't test it as it was raining).I enjoyed very good coffee while my husband had a beer. Later on we had burger: All Good Things with arugula and cheese and bacon on a brioche- it was very juicy and well seasoned. This place is pretty great. Went here for the first time on Sat night to grab a quick bite and a cold beer. The beer selection was decent with some really interesting brews, the Coney Island watermelon wheat was the most intriguing although a bit sweet for my taste. As for the food, we ordered the burger and the pierogis. Burger was delicious, large portion, tasty bun, and cooked well. I would not recommend the pierogis, they were $9 for 4 of them. If you want good pierogis in Greenpoint, there are plenty of traditional Polish restaurants to go to. The service was top notch. The bartender was super attentive and nice. I went here with another girl and we were clearly being harassed by drunk guys at the bar. The bartender noticed and apologized to us but didn't throw the guys out and just watched as they continued to harass us, even touching us without our consent. We asked for the bill and while we were waiting the men continued to grope us as everyone in the bar watched and said nothing. The bartender apologized when she handed us back our cards but didn't do anything to stop it. Absolutely disgusting horrible experience and I will never be back to this place. I frequent this place fairly often. It's a basically a Brooklyn bar run by the younger Greenpoint Polish generation. Having grown up there, I can say the pierogies are tops, especially when paired with their keilbasa. Great selection of beers on draught. The bartenders really make it worthwhile. I used to go in solo a lot since it's nearby my place and always was made to feel welcome and comfortable by the workers there. I had a very strange experience at the Brewed Inn. I went here for brunch with some friends. Walked in casual, chill vibes , sort of rustic decor. The food was good. I had the brewed egg burger. But our waitress was beyond strange. The entire time she was acting sort of unprofessionally, in terms of how she interacted with us, and her behavior was erratic. When she went to clear the drinks she went to take my Bloody Mary and I was still working on it and let her know this. When I said I wanted to finish it, she said something to the extent of "if you want that watery Bloody Mary go for it", judging my decision to finish the beverage I had paid for.
