Ordered their small cheese pizza, 10 wings (medium) and their fried cheese curds. ($44 total) The cheese curds were pretty decent but that's where it stopped. The wings had zero flavor. Their homemade blue cheese was pretty good. For a "pizza" place it honestly was probably the worst restaurant pizza I've had in a very long time. No flavor to their sauce, the dough was super meh and the cheese was tasteless. I feel like they just buy $1.99 Tombstone Pizza and reheat it. The lady that took my order had no clue how "hot/spicy" their wing sauce was, couldn't give me an estimate on how long it was going to take (the place was totally empty). Every time the upstairs apartments flushed the toilets you could hear it in the dining room. Very unappetizing. read more

We ordered take out on Sunday for lunch and it did not disappoint. Having access to great access to pizza in Philadelphia I was anxious to try out this relatively new spot. I do not believe our pizza was wood fired, but it was tasty nonetheless. A large pie was $12 and had about 10-12 slices. Staff, food and pizza were all good and I will return next time I am home. It's been a few months since we went to the Brick Oven Inn, since we live near Albany. But next time we're in the area we plan to stop over again. The restaurant is beautiful. (That fireplace is a showpiece!) The staff is super-friendly. And the food! What can I say to help people understand just how perfect every dish for our large party was? Just ordered a fried fish special, garlic pizza and bacon burger w/ hand cut fries to go. I personally had the burger and fries! Delicious! It was cooked the way I asked and I felt it was bigger than the 8 oz. Advertised! Hand cut fries were delicious too. The garlic pizza they made a mistake on by adding broccoli which I know was their mistake because we NEVER get broccoli on our pizza so they lost a star for that. My daughter stated the fish fry was very good, macaroni and cheese was very good but coleslaw was average! I would order again. read more

I spent few month in Italy and pizza from The Brick Oven Inn has brought back memories like no other pizza restaurant in U.S.! The crust is crunchy and just like from Italian bakery with air bubbles as I remember bread in Italy had! Fresh tomato sauce is actually tasting like tomato. Remember greasy orange residue many pizzas leave on your fingers and plate? None of that! I remember eating cold pizza in Italy (it was served cold on purpose - not just yesterday's left overs) - you can do that with this pizza as the crust stays crunchy! I have both dined in-house and had take out from here several times. I prefer take out, just because it seems faster, more organized, and I love eating at home. The pizza is very, very good! Usually, I also order wings (just okay) and antipasto salad (also good). It is so nice to have a delicious, REASONABLY PRICED pizza place within driving distance. I do wish they stayed open a little later on the weekends because they would get more business from us night owls. read more

I've not been to Italy, but I am going next year, and I hope the pizza there is better than this. If I had a frozen pizza I would have put it in the oven after giving my piece of Brick Oven pizza to my dog. The crust is tasteless. There wasn't enough cheese to taste cheese. The sauce isn't the worst. The wings are good...if they're not over cooked and crunchy. The chicken salad was good. Two stars are for the salad, and the can drink I got there. read more

Spotless, friendly, good value and excellent food. We stopped for lunch on wednesday. My homemade chicken soup was fllled with veggies. My garden salad was crispy and the house Italian excellent. The home made chips were thin cut and crispy. The ice tea was good too. T had BLT on homemade wholewheat. Total bill $18 - we are pleased. read more

My husband and I ate here for the first time tonight. I've heard it was good and read many great reviews, and we were not disappointed. The onion pearls appetizer was perfect - crunchy little bites of breaded fried onions with a tangy dipping sauce. We each ordered a small pizza, but the small is a very generous size and we each only ate half and boxed up the rest. He had a pepperoni, sausage, onion pizza and really enjoyed it. I asked for a veggie pizza without cheese. The kitchen was so considerate and even came out to ask if I wanted the crust brushed with a butter Parmesan sauce (I declined). I appreciated that - it turns out one of the chefs is a vegan and so he understood what I was going for. That is a rare thing in Northern NY, where "vegan" and even "vegetarian" is not easy to find in local restaurants. Both pizzas were loaded with toppings and the crust is very good. The service was fast and our servers were so friendly and very attentive. Thank you Brick Oven Inn and we will be back! read more

After a lovely dinner with my nieces last evening, I paid the bill for the exact amount plus tip. When we reached our car ,the owner came running out, saying I had overpaid because two of the $10 dollar bills were stuck together. How refreshing to know that honest people really do exist. I love the Brick Oven Inn but sadly their customer service is really bad. I keep going back because I love sitting on the porch on a summer's evening and having fresh pizza and soda and watch the world go by. But every time I go there, the service to the "in house" customers is very very slow to the point where you feel like they basically are ignoring you. Last week I went there on a Wednesday evening and ordered a pepperoni/ham calzone and it took 45 minutes (!) to get my order. And there were only 4 other people in the place and one was a 2 year old. And once I got it, there was no pepperoni in it.... ??? Amanda worked hard to make it right and she is really nice but somewhere along the line, the owners don't understand how to treat their In-House customers correctly. And I have had bad service almost every time I have gone there. The wait staff is nice and agreeable but the mistaken orders and the long wait is tough to deal with. One time I went with 3 friends and were the only ones in the place and they still screwed up the order by giving us a Supreme Pizza instead of the Meat Lover's Pizza that we ordered. If they don't want a healthy in-house crowd, why have such a huge place? And if they want in-house customers, they are doing a lousy job at making them feel welcomed. I hope they get their act together for the in-house customers because I really like the place and their food. read more
