On our way down to Massachusetts and we spotted this tiny pizza shop. it was either that or the McDonald's down the street. Soooo we decided to try the so called "New York Pizza" shop in the middle of NY country. Oh my gosh it's so good!!!!! It definitely is "New York pizza." The sauce is perfect. So much cheese it just falls over. The crust is just right. Not too crunchy or too fluffy. $20 for an 18'inch, I believe it's very reasonably priced. This is was pizza usually cost. Let me begin by saying how happy i am that i found a real italiano restaurant. We live in Carthage but a trip to lowville salvage yard brought us past this amazing restaurant today. My husband had the calzone pocket which was made perfectly with ricotta, mozzarella, pepperoni and let me add how fricken HUGE this thing was, I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza and a mixed sub with italian peppers and dressing. Terrible customer service over the phone. Spent $100 to help in celebrating the moving up of an employee here in our office. Ordered a sheet pizza and 40 wings. Called to let them know people were unimpressed about the pizza. Sauce was too sweet and way to bready!! They wanted me to bring back the oEder then another lady came on the phone to tell me no refund !! And very rudely and loudly .. Other employees could hear her yelling from the phone !! I got a slice of cheese here, I found it particularly expensive compared to other similar pizza joints around me. I can't remember the price but it was over $3.50. I found it really strange that the pepperoni pizza looked like it had been a cheese pizza, but with raw pepperonis added to it...? They need to change their cheese distributer, it lacked any flavor regardless of how generous they were with it. The sauce was super sweet and had a strange flavor to it; I could compare it to Ragu. They need to change it or start adding some herbs. The crust had very little flavor, perhaps some more salt. Also a bit thicker than traditional NY style, but I myself don't mind. I ordered to-go pizza from this restaurant twice this summer. The first time I looked at their menu and saw that they had a veggie pizza that included broccoli, but broccoli was not an option on the toppings menu...so I decided to get the veggie pizza and ask for meatballs on top....The guy behind the counter thought this was hilarious as apparantly you have to be a vegetarian to buy a veggie pizza. I called it in, 10 minutes later they called and told me they were out of meatballs....someone failed inventory class. Stopped in with the family (8 of us), after a long hike at a nearby State Park. Service was friendly and fast, and the pizza was very good. Even my wife, a very discerning downstater when it comes to pizza, loved it (made us eat it folded). Try the sweet flavor wings too. Very good. My husband and I just came in for lunch and I was terribly disappointed. I got a pepperoni slice and a "chicken wing" slice (which most places call buffalo). My husband got a cheese slice and a white broccoli. We had to send back the broccoli and chicken wing slices because they were so well done that the cheese was brown and yet they still thought acceptable to bring to us. They brought them out again and the chicken wing slice was disgusting. The cheese was hard and chewy. The crust was unbelievably dry and hard. The pepperoni slice was decent but was reheated as if it were put in an average oven, so the sides were burnt and crispy, not how they should be coming out of a PIZZA oven. My husband's broccoli slice was decent and the cheese slice was actually good. The atmosphere of this place is pretty typical for a real NY pizzeria but the employees and a man who seemed to be the owner do not come off as welcoming or friendly. We made eye contact a few times, so I smiled, and I got an off putting look in return. We definitely will not be returning, at least not for more than a plain slice TO GO. read more

This pizza is expensive, but worth it. We normally buy pizza from Mr Subb down the street, which is cheap but 'meh'. This pizza is well made, quality ingredients, and so tasty. I just got a white pizza with garlic, onions and sausage, and it came with gobs of ricotta on it as well. So good. Its worth the extra couple bucks for a real good ny style pizza. I don't really understand why people are giving low review based on price alone. It is pricy, but prices are clearly posted. I looked at the prices before i ordered. Ate there today. I had a Stromboli roll, my mom ordered a small pizza with three toppings and my husband had 10 wings. We all got a fountain drink. The food was good, but our check came to $53!!!! The food wasn't that good. I asked for an itemized receipt because I thought that didn't sound right from the prices in the menu. Sure enough the pizza was $3.25 more than the price in the menu and my Stromboli was $1 more. Anyway, the pizzas we ordered were thick, dry and dense. The chicken wings were the worst we've ever had, very small, hardly any meat and very, very dried out. There are alot of Mom and pop pizza joints around the Watertown/Ft. Drum area. This one is hands down the best. The sauce is slightly sweeter and the dough is always chewy and delicious. I don't think I even have enough time to write all the things i would like to say. 1. They will do anything to sell you food. Make up prices based on the day. I called them several times over an ongoing issue over a miscommunication when I placed an order. I was told to mention a "personal size calzone" and I would get it for 5$ during lunch hour because you know, they false advertise on the menu and it's 15$ per calzone and you must pay PER topping but yo wouldn't know that until you see your receipt. Secondly, we figured we would order a pizza, and they fucked it up once again. I called them write up on the phone and the man was extremely nice and offered to fix it and said he would have a credit waiting for me when i got there the next time. I then was there today, and the owners daughter is a rude bitch. I have never met anyone so rude in my life. She has the attitude of a reptile. She claimed she had my receipt hanging on the wall, and according to her note that she made As she pointed in the computer I was getting one credit for one topping and that was it. ( not what her father had told me). He was willing to credit us a pizza. I am over it. She then giggled like a little school girl and walked away. Ate there three times earlier this year. First time was for the Chicken Alfredo and it was good. Second time was for a small broccoli pizza and wings, and again good. The last time was for a large supreme...good. The waitresses though are no good...employer must hire them based on "Casting Couching". The first one was a short blonde and chubby and seemed like she was in the sky somewhere. She treated me like I were 'special'. The second one was a young girl who was overly kind and used way too much hair products. Seemed not to know she was doing. The last one was just competely duh! Worst restaurant experience ever! Myself and my girlfriend ordered dinners and we waited about half an hour and they bring out my girlfriends dinner before we get our salads or bread! So her dinner sits there for five minutes before we can get someones attention. So then they come take her dinner back and bring us our salads bout 5 min. later. Then they bring us both our dinners finally one being out of the oven for proly 20 minutes so it was dryed out chicken alfredo at that point (17.50 a plate for that).
