This review is long overdue, but I have only great things to say about the Bridal Manor. I got engaged in 2020 during COVID and needless to say everything was crazy and unknown during that time, including wedding planning. I came into the Bridal Manor on July 31st 2021 and needed a wedding dress by my October wedding. I know - crazy. Off the rack was the only option and I heard great things about their selection. Janine assisted me and was so helpful, pulling beautiful dresses within the style I was looking for. We tried a few others as well for comparison. I think in total I tried 8 dresses and the 3rd one she pulled ended up being THE ONE. The process was seamless and I was able to take home my dress that day. It needed a few alterations which I had to take somewhere else for the tight turnaround time, but it was reasonably priced and just the right size. I highly recommend them for an intimate boutique experience. read more

I bought 3 formal dresses here in high school. One for a pageant and two for proms. I also went along with many of my friends to their dress appointments here. I have nothing but nice things to say about the staff and the dresses. I do know they won't have a ton of prom dresses anymore, but they did have some as of last year. Despite that I wanted to write this review because each staff member I have interacted with has been pleasant, friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. I was on the hunt for a specific gown. I'd called the designer's corporate headquarters looking for it and they told me the Bridal Manor may have one left, and it happened to be in my size. I called to confirm it was there, made the next available appointment and they had the gown ready and waiting for me that morning. The people here were kind, friendly and helpful, but I knew exactly what I wanted as far as fabric went and I told the lady on the phone, when I got there they only had one dress with that fabric so it was a waste of my time. Their website is not up to date. During the dress process, bridal shops websites were a saving grace for me so I knew what I was driving 1 hour for every weekend for 9 weekends in a row.... Having an up to date website would've helped. If it wasn't for my specific needs, they seem to be very nice. read more

5 shops......Probably about 50 dresses and this was my last stop and thank god it was. I should have known that the dress shop I'd pass as a little girl would be the one I'd find my dream dress at. Beautiful and private set up. Loved the girl we worked with. I was so stressed out and annoyed that I couldn't decide and she was SO patient with me. Also LOVED that she kept addressing the dress as "she" and "her." I wish I remembered her name because she was the most fun to work with. I had a great experience at The Bridal Manor from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out! My mom, Maid of Honor, and I were immediately greeted by the staff the day we went for a Trunk Show. The consultant (I completely forgot her name!) was so welcoming and prompt with showing us the featured designer's new line and showing us around the store. She asked me what styles I liked, and after I showed her, she quickly picked out numerous dresses for me. We had the whole back room to ourselves which was great! The consultant was so helpful and funny. After trying on the first dress, all the consultants came into the back room to see the dress, which honestly got me so hyped because I loved the dress I tried on. My consultant even asked me if I wanted to try on another dress so I could definitely say "No" to it and confirm that I wanted the first dress which I thought was hilarious. After saying "Yes," she brought the three of us (good) champagne and a little plaque that said "I said YES at the Bridal Manor!" I thought that this was so sweet of her. After all the hype and excitement, she went through the whole process of ordering this dress and made sure EVE. RY. THING. was the way I wanted it to be for the dress. I appreciated that the consultant measured me and then got someone else to measure me to make sure the numbers were accurate. My whole appointment from start to finish was AMAZING, MEMORABLE, EFFICIENT, and most importantly FUN. That's how wedding dress shopping should be! I wish I could give this shop (and Nancy) 10 stars. Not a dress girl, not a fancy girl, and had NO CLUE what I wanted to get married in. After visiting countless shops in the city and NJ.. we gave this one a shot as it's close to home. Well.. I ended up getting my dress and all bridemaids dresses, as well as alterations here. Nancy is a seasoned professional who is forthright and patient with a bride like me. We tried on a ton, what I like and didn't like changed, and I must've been back with different groups of people 6 times. Whether it was finding the right color scheme for my maids, or finding a dress that complimented my tiny bust just right.. Nancy was incredible. This place had everything I needed. My alterations were also lovely, and the staff kind and caring. I saw another review that people are rude. Nope. They're honest and knowledgable. They are not going to lead you on. They know brides need realistic expectations, and their delivery is polite. I value that type of service being a hotelier in Times Square. I came in for a wedding dress and the consultant didn't really listen to what I was looking for, but the biggest issue for me was a comment she made. She said I would have to buy the dress (Stella York) by this weekend or else it'll go up $200 because of the Chinese tariffs going into effect. It was rude. I know it was a lie and she was just trying to get a sale. I even searched it, the dress doesn't come from China. She overheard my mom talking about going to another place to try on Mori Lee dresses (they don't carry Mori Lee at this shop) and I guess she got upset and had to make that comment. It's not my fault they didn't carry a designer I have been looking at for years. That put a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning. I can not stand being lied to and that's exactly what happened. read more

I went this past weekend with my bride-to-be best friend (I'm her MOH) and the woman we were being helped by had an awful energy about her. She displayed not even one ounce of excitement for her first day of dress try-ons, which immediately set the tone for the rest of the appointment. Our bride-to-be was very clear about what she DID and DID NOT want, so naturally the woman helping us only brought out dresses that my friend did not like. While she was trying on dresses, she made constant comments about my friends size and purposely put her in dresses that had to be at least 4 sizes to small. It was terrible! Whenever me, the brides mother, and the other bridesmaids spoke, she completely ignored us! She didn't seem to want us there at all, and we all felt like a major inconvenience to her. Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! My sister called twice prior to our appointment and she received a polite and helpful person each time. While I wasn't part of those conservations, I can say this: the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by two very sweet young ladies. Julie was my consultant and she was knowledgeable, personable, and overall amazing right off the bat! Not only was my experience with her phenomenal, but the feel of the place is homey...maybe because it a converted house or maybe because you have an entire room to try on and display the dresses. Not to mention they give you a comfy robe! The owner/manager?, Dayna, was also very kind. She was sure to give me catalogs on my way out to my next appointment...which I wound cancelling about two minutes later so I could turn around and buy the dress I loved from these wonderful ladies! Ok ok so I haven't bought anything yet. However I will update if I do!!!! I stumbled across this diamond in the ruff by accident while trying to distract my future mother in law from her surprise party. I ended up leaving early that day but the atmosphere and inventory made me want to come back (which I did a few days later). I loved everything about it. The staff were exceptional, patient, knowledgeable of their inventory. They even knew the history of the house the business in located in. The prices were reasonable and quality was still better than commercial retail. I felt overwhelmingly comfortable from the door. I suggest that if any bride is in the area they should at least stop by. I've been to at least 7 bridal salons and this was by far my best experience. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at The Bridal Manor this past weekend. I had been looking online at bridesmaids dresses and came across Sorella Vita. I was eager to have my bridesmaids try some of the gowns on, so I called The Bridal Manor and made an appointment for just my mom and MOH to do an initial try on. I have six bridesmaids, some of who live far away, so I planned on having everyone come back the following weekend to try on my favorites. We arrived about ten minutes early for our appointment and no one was in reception. Finally, after several minutes someone greeted us. She showed us where the dresses were and allowed us to shop. We picked out about ten dresses and she took us into the back room where there is a pedestal, a three-way mirror, a couch and a nice fireplace. My mom and I settled down on the couch expecting that my MOH would begin trying on dresses. At that point, another woman came into the room and said "You cannot put them in here! We have a bride coming in at 2pm!". This was a bit off-putting as I had made an appointment for 1:30pm and also happened to be a Bride. The attendant then took us into a room filled with prom dresses and hung the dresses on the rack among the prom dresses. She pointed my MOH to a 'dressing room' that was the size of a broom closet with only one chair sitting outside of it. She then simply walked away and said "let me know if you need anything". At this point I was visibly frustrated and my mom could see it on my face. I did not feel that they were invested in helping us since they knew we would not be making a sale on that day. This was a stark contrast to some of the other salons I have visited who helped my MOH get in and out of each dress, talk to us about the style, color and cut, and just overall have a decent level of customer service which The Bridal Manor was sorely lacking. It was incredibly disappointing and we chose to leave without trying on any dresses. I will be sure to never go back. read more

These women. What a joke. I came in at 11am on a Tuesday, no appointment. I was just browsing, had no one with me, and didn't think I'd need one. When I pulled in, there were two cars in their parking lot. Inside the completely deserted shop, the first words out of the clerk's mouth were, in a very loud, rude tone, "Do you have an appointment?" I said no, that I was just looking around and had happened to drive past their shop. She came back with "Well, I'm not sure we can squeeze you in. Come here!" and stormed over to their front counter, where I could clearly see a hair-salon-style appointment book open wide. She hmm'd and muttered for a minute, during which time I can clearly see from the large blank space in the book that they had no appointments until 5 that afternoon. Then she looks up, gives me a pained face and an extremely put-upon sigh, and tells me that they can take a look at me, but REALLY, REALLY, I should know that it's on me to make sure I have an appointment "in the future." I apologized for taking up any of her precious time and left. Forget that. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience here. Dana was a fabulous help. She really listened to what I wanted but also took time to pick up on my personality and was able to match me with the most perfect gown for my wedding day! I haven't stopped smiling since I left. I really love how everyone who works there is always so friendly and excited for me, even if they don't know me personally. I had a wonderful experience at The Bridal Manor and Olivia was absolutely fantastic! My sister had gotten her dress there several years ago and we got our bridesmaid dresses so I wanted to start with a place I was familiar with. Let me start off by saying I would never recommend this place or go here ever again. The only reason we ended up at Bridal Manor is because of the convenience to Franklinville. My friends and I found these beautiful bridesmaid dresses for $150.00, we loved how they looked but we were not thrilled with the style. A Line. We asked if they could be made into pencil skirts, and we were assured they could. The bridesmaids had to have several appointments, more than the bride even, to get these dresses right. When it came time to pick up my dress, altered about five times, the alterations came out to be $150.00. Which is insane! How can my alterations cost as much as the dress? This is NOT a $300.00 dress by any means. Now, my friends and I aren't dressmakers, but you do have a "highly skilled" seamstress on site, we should have been strongly advised to go with a different style of dress or we should have been told how astronomical the price would be to alter this dress. Seriously I could go to Joyce Leslie and get the same thing. Finally, the wedding was on Saturday. The bride looked amazing in her dress that was NOT from Bridal Manor. As the rest of the bridal party were still having problems with their dresses. Cups were falling out, straps kept unbuttoning from the dress, not steamed etc. etc. etc. Please do yourselves the favor of driving a couple minutes further away from this awful place. Side note: I couldn't proceed without giving the review at least one star. read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop. I came here to shop for my wedding gown, and ended up returning 2 times to try on dresses. They have many beautiful options, and though I thought I'd found my dress on my first visit, on second visit, mom encouraged me to try on more just to make sure. My consultant, Caitlyn, was more than accommodating, pulling my previous favorite dress and helping us select several more. Caitlyn kept suggesting, gently, that I try on one dress they'd just gotten in, and I kept politely refusing. Too poofy, I said. Then I noticed that the dress's poofy lace underskirt was actually a design of hundreds of daisies- my favorite flower. So I agreed to try it on. And never, ever wanted to take it off. Nothing about that dress was what I thought I wanted- not the silhouette, not the fabric, nothing. The moral of the story here? Caitlyn ROCKS at her job and I should have listened to her in the first place! Come to this shop and trust the consultants! They're amazing!!!!!! Caitlyn even told us about an upcoming sale, helping to save us enough money to cover my veil. I also had my alterations done at the shop, and the seamstress, Nicki, is amazing- patient, kind, funny, and just a joy to work with. I've been back for fittings and alterations, and I had a blast each time. Nicki clearly loves her job and wants her customers to love their dresses! Also, they charge a flat fee for alterations, so if you do need to come back once or twice, it won't cost more. My French bustle was an upcharge, so do be aware of that. I also purchased my veil and headpiece here. The staff is amazing- friendly, helpful, and fun. Their prices are very reasonable, and their bridal selection is extensive. They also sell bridesmaid, mother of bride/groom, and prom dresses, as well as shoes, veils and accessories. The space itself is very cool too- it's in a very old house, and you do your try-ons and fittings in cozy rooms that feel like you're visiting family. (I should also say that when I brought my aunt on a couple of visits, and due to an injury she could not go upstairs- they kindly accommodated us in a different room downstairs.) Highly, highly recommend this shop. I was THRILLED to put my dress back on, on my wedding day,and received many compliments on it!!! Thank you, Caitlyn! Thank you, Nicki!!! I traveled quite awhile to get here, but I came on the recommendation of a friend who found her gown and veil here and had wonderful things to say about the salon. It's in an old house, and the salon is upstairs. The women working there are very sweet and know their inventory very well. I did not find anything here, as they only carry a few designers, many of which I had never heard of before. Dress was great. Alterations were so overpriced She increased the price she quoted and left us with no choice but to pay.

My daughter and I made an appt that morning and they were able to squeeze us in. The young lady was more than helpful and she tried on many dresses that day. We decided we just couldn't decide and left without purchasing the gown. We did not feel pressured at all to decide and went on to 7 more bridal shops. Finally we had it down to two gowns. The last salon did not allow cameras which was ashame as we didn't want to rush into purchasing her gown. We therefore returned to The Bridal Manor to try our selection on again, and yes, we decided this was the gown. The staff was helpful, patient and very knowledgable. My daughter will need alterations as she is post partum 3 months when she tried on the gown. I just hope the alteration fee is not that crazy of an amount. I will keep you posted. read more

My daughter was recently a bridesmaid and got the dress from another local shop and their alternations literally ruined the dress. Marion, Dana and Nora were absolutely amazing!! I came in yesterday to try on wedding gowns. They were very nice and very accommodating. I tried on quite a few dresses and was really hoping that I could find my dress there and I did. My consultant was super friendly and I recommend anyone looking for a wedding dress to come in. They have a decent selection of gorgeous dresses at great prices nothing was out of my budget. Also the sample dresses I noticed range from a size 10 to about a size 16 so I think it's catered to a good size range as well. read more

Had successful visit. I was looking for mother of the bride dress. My visit was approximately 1 hour. I had narrowed it down to four gown. The girls were very patient and stated if I wanted to come back they would write down the gowns for me so when I returned I could re-try them on. No pressure to purchase one on the spot. I did try Davids Bridal but it just wasn't the quality in the gown that Bridal Manor had in their gowns. Yes, it is more costly but well worth it. I went back and knew when I put the last one on it was the one. I thought the staff was very professional. Surprisingly my gown came in after one week! Now can't wait for my daughters wedding to wear it! I will have it altered privately because as stated, the alterations there can run very high. read more

Customer service at The Bridal Manor is fantastic. I ordered my plus sized wedding dress, and 6 bridesmaid dresses from them. The entire operation was like a well oiled machine, from the initial order to the last dress steam. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered every question I had with grace and kindness, and that's saying a lot since I tend to be an extremely 'nervous nelly.' Well, for starters, this place is pretty unfriendly to women over a size 10, and God forbid you are a fat girl like I am, they were pretty rude to me. I realize there are are less sample sizes for bigger women but I'm an 18, which is really not that big compared to what;s out there, and if I can find a formal dress is Macy's then you should have more than one sample bridesmaid dress to show me. I went for a bridesmaid sample try on with the other bridesmaid's in my sisters wedding and granted the prided picked all of the samples, they should have found some other samples for me, that is their job. Instead I got to try on one and they were so rude about it. Additionally, the first time I set foot in the store was to try on samples. I was told I had to come in a be fitted 7 months ahead of time. When I went in for the appointment 7 months ahead of time, I told them that I had been losing weight and that my measurements may change. I was rudely told that not only was it too early for me to come in in general (even though a prior employee had advised me to), but that there was no point in being measured since my weight may change, and then they wrote LOSING WEIGHT in big bold letters in my file. After all of that when the dress was finally finished they broke 2 zippers trying to zip me up on 2 separate occasions (even though the dress fit fine) and I didn't get the final product until a few days before the wedding. They also measure everything smaller and then force you to wear a dress size higher and the prices go up each size. They are also grossly overpriced. My dress was $235, and I saw similar dresses with the same material at David's Bridal for $150. Don't go there. read more

I am very late in writing this review and feel horrible it has taken me so long to do so. My daughter and I came here in July of 2011 to look for wedding dresses for her October wedding. Unlike other shops who told us that we were late in looking for a dress and we'd have to purchase quickly (what a sham-don't believe them!), Bridal Manor was honest with us about the process every step of the way. They were one of the few shops in the South Jersey area to stock dresses from my daughter's favorite designer (but even if they don't stock your designer visit them anyway as they were so professional and friendly during the entire process). As stated in other reviews, the shop is in an old house which to me adds a nice atmosphere. All of the sales associates were nice and very helpful-not snobbish at all, not pushy at all. They were patient in helping my daughter try on dress after dress and because the dress that my daughter decided on was $50 less at another shop, they price matched, which was so very helpful during such an expensive time. We did notice though that their selection was very affordable with bridal dresses ranging from say $400-1500. Nice selection too. Alterations were perfect and delivered as promised. We bought her veil online, but they let us know to bring it with us when we came back for the alteration fitting so that they could press it with the dress, no charge. We both highly recommend Bridal Manor to any bride, bridal party or anyone who needs a formal dress for a special occasion! read more

Gina was incredibly helpful! This was the first place I went to try on dresses and found the most fabulous dress. They made accommodations to fit all my guests and our time was so special. There was no pressure to buy, but they gave me the best options and information so I could make my own choice. I'm now the second one of my family to get a dress there.
