Then we grabbed two seats (open seating, which can also accommodate those in wheelchairs or with physical disabilities). Amy was the host and she was fantastic at engaging the audience. All the players were truly hilarious, creative and so talented. We had a blast! Overall, NCT was a great choice for a date night. While we were there we learned some shows are actually clean family-friendly comedy (no cursing) so we are planning to bring our daughter to a show! This would be a great evening activity if you have family visiting from out of town :)

(Keep in mind we haven't been to a show since they moved to the new location). While each story had a few funny moments, they were fleeting. The stories were w-a-y too long and drawn out. Forget the kids (who were confused as heck) - I had a hard time tracking the action (maybe it would have been better if I had been drinking). So, if you've got kids, skip Friday night and go on a Saturday when two teams try to "out improv" each other. That's what we plan to do. Fingers crossed it'll be a better show.

I know if I get a seat here every seat in the room is a good seat. They have a very good sound system. I would say the serving staff are all very friendly here. I typically end up getting wine when I have to meet my two drink minimum. However, they do have several cocktail arrangements that you can choose from. What I like is that for each performer they typically will have a specialty cocktail designed around that actual comedian. So I like that approach. I usually like to catch the early show cause the crowd vibe is a little bit chiller. However, I've never had an issue at this establishment and will continue to catch my favorite comedians here. As I do think they extent a diverse roster of comedians. The last time that we attended, we actually ordered some food. And I really enjoyed the wings. I thought they did a really good job on the buffalo wings and the sauce was very tangy and the wings were fried hard as requested. All in all, it's a really good establishment with a parking lot and there are other places to dine and eat, near the establishment.

The $21.95 Nachos or the $8 Diet Coke? My bad, the nachos are only $17.95, the extra $4 was for guacamole. My bill was $41 for just me at a single table. Or my extra annoyance at the waitress at the next table that stood in front of me while Mark Curry was performing? Not only was she blocking my view, she was loud so I couldn't hear some of his set. We had so many laughs and I was super impressive with the creativity of the comedians to think on the spot. We learned that they offer classes and you can book their services for you next gathering. My favorite exhibit was the use of basketry incorporating recycled beach items. It had texture, movement and was put together in a pleasing manner. This charming theater is located in the thick of the heart of downtown Gilbert. As far as I could tell, they don't have a parking lot but there is plenty of free street and surface lots close by. Just a few minutes away by foot. All theaters have their pros and cons and Hale is no different. It's a intimate theater that probably can seat a few hundred people tops. Which means there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Well, let's talk about the seats. The space between seats is pretty cramped if you're tall (I'm 6'2"). Let's switch gears again. Concessions consists of snacks (no hot food) and beverages. During intermission, they bring a cart out to the stage so you don't have to go to the lobby. Nicely done! Reasonable prices too for a venue. The lobby area gets pretty packed right before the show. Rather than messing with the traffic jam, I went to the other side of the theater and went to the restroom there. It's a one person restroom (not ideal for a venue) but the restrooms by the lobby are larger. I saw Catch Me If you Can at Hale. Looking forward to my next visit!
