    Such a great night!

An outstanding night at Tempe improv! Jacob's service was exceptional. Attentive, prompt and warm. Comedian Chris Porter was fantastic! I made a bunch of friends with a great group at my table and enjoyed the Caesar salad with steak rare. And management Micah is extraordinary! Truly goes above and beyond to ensure an extraordinary custumer experience. Grateful for this local gem and the talented comedians here!

Last night, I went to Improv Tempe for the first time to see comedian Jared Fried. Surprisingly, the venue is large yet intimate but what's always questionable about comedy clubs in general are the funky seating arrangements, the table setup--the chairs are so close to each other that it can feel like you're sitting on top of others while at your table. The ambiance is good all around, the staff are friendly, and the menu options are decent. I would suggest more non-alcoholic beverages options but their food options are good. The audience was engaging for the most part with the exception of some people that were VIP and happened to be seated in front of me. Two couples on a double date had such dry personalities and apparently forgot how to laugh. In some cases during the show, their lack of engagement and energy made the comedian sense a level of awkwardness, but he carried on his engagement well while others laughed in appreciation of his humor. At the end of the show, he welcomed fans to take photos with him, which I did. I caught the 7pm show which ended early enough to enjoy the rest of the evening exploring other establishments nearby. Overall, this is a great venue. You get a little of everything to make your visit enjoyable. The club is easy to find, parking is free but can fill up fast as there's other shops and a grocery store that share the same lot. If you're not familiar with Improv Tempe, definitely enjoy a night out seeing any comedian here. I'll be back again.

Tempe Improv Nice intimate venue to see a show and be as close as you want to the stage or performer. Stan Chen was one of the opening acts that is a local, he did a great job and was excellent to listen to. Wonderful local humor and great delivery. Jiaoying Summers was as good as expected, she starts off her show with her comedy side and then ends with her "what species are you?" So funny and if you want to be a part of her show and are Asian, sit toward the front, you will certainly be spoken to as part.of.her show. Ordered endless sodas that came out in a carffe, of course could not drink the entire thing. Pretzels were nice to have, good size warm and soft, go.for it French Fries also a nice appetizer to have with the pretzels Was a great evening of entertainment and laughter. Have fun

We returned to Tempe Improv to see Eric Eatons "Magic for Adults" show. We showed up about 30 minutes before show time & got seats that were very close to the stage, but we were off to the far right corner, so the view of the stage was not the greatest. The show was hilarious though & we had a wonderful time. This makes for an awesome date night. One thing I did not enjoy is that I was seated across from my husband, I would have preferred being next to him, so we could talk to one another a bit easier... We did not order food, but I got Sangria. One of the best Sangrias I have had, to be honest! I was very disappointed to hear that a single shot does not qualify for the "2 Drink Minimum". I feel that should be mentioned on the menu for guests, because if I had ordered the shot, assuming it counted, I would have been furious! I also think it's a bit ridiculous that you cannot order food in place of the drinks? As long as people are spending money on something, why should it matter???? We had a good time, and will be back in the future. I just hope that they will consider modifying their business structure in a way that makes a little bit more sense.

We had a great time seeing Joe Dombrowski! The service was good, the staff were really friendly, and the food and drinks were awesome.

The comedy show itself was very enjoyable, and the performers did a great job. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience and made me never want to come back. From the moment we sat down, we felt pressured to purchase the required two drinks. We hadn't even finished our first drink before our server came back and told us we had to order another one or we would be charged a service fee. Our server had an attitude from the beginning and was not friendly or welcoming at all. During the transition between comedians, I decided to take a picture of the improv sign on the stage while no one was performing. One of the employees came rushing over and told me I couldn't take pictures. I completely understand if that's the policy, but there was no reason to be so rude about it. Instead of explaining the rule respectfully, he immediately threatened to make us leave if we took another photo. To make matters worse, the drinks were overpriced and tasted terrible. Overall, while the comedians were entertaining, the poor customer service and overpriced drinks made for a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Wings. Take a close look friends, this plate will cost you $18....ugh fine, $17.95 (basically the same thing as $18)

If you're looking for a quick review - entertainment was amazing! Go for that but don't plan on going for the food and drinks. Overpriced, cold, and "meh". Oh you saucy devil...you want more! Ok ok...read in... Let's start with the obvious ...I searched far and wide to get an actual breakdown of what the "2 drink minimum" means. Because if you're going to make a 2 drink minimum policy, for gods sake, just be transparent about what fulfills that. I didn't find it anyplace (even asked that lil' AI fellow on their website). Let me share what I didn't know until I sat down at my table... *1 bottle of wine - fulfills the 2 drink minimum for 2 people *1 bucket of beers- fulfills the 2 drink minimum for 3 people *Everything else, ya gotta order 2. *No, a glass of water doesn't count but a bottle of water will (but come on, you knew that ) Personally, I think the drinks are pretty overpriced, especially if you're requiring me to get two. And before you come for me, the red wine I got is $11 a bottle in the store and they're charging $50. A soda is $8. A margarita is $18 (ugh. Ok it's $17.95 but let's be real, that's $18). It's clear....ya'll are serving some SERIOUSLY overpriced drinks. Food wise- eh. The fries were also overpriced and cold, BOTH sets that we ordered. The wings were decent. Again, not worth the price. Need a visual? Check out the menu prices for the restaurant right next door....compare them to this place's prices.... And I can say, the quality far exceeds at the restaurant next door. (Don't @ me with "oh but this is a comedy club"...I can tell man, the food and drinks are a joke.) If the prices could just drop the price a few bucks, it would be awesome. Like $11 for a margarita, maybe $8 for fries? I can promise you, my drunk a$$ would order more than 2 drinks and a round of fries for everyone. Oh! There's also a 20% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. Overall, yea, you should go, it's a fun thing to do! But realize the food and beverage are pretending to be five star steakhouse when they're really a fast food joint owned by your weird uncle Sal.

It has been a few years since I have been to the Tempe Improv and everyone in my group had a great time at the Nicki Glazer show. We got there early and had a reserved table for cocktails, appetizers, and dinners before the show. Service was excellent and it was a great night.

Ask the Community - Tempe Improv

Is it cold at the location?

No. It was very comfortable inside when I visited.

Is a Covid vaccination card required to enter?

    No, it is not.

So 2 drinks minimum per person attending? If there were three of us it's a 6 drink minimum?

Yup. That's the math. Drinks can be soft drinks if that helps.

    Are 18 year olds allowed?

Yes. It has been my experience that people 18-21 can see the show. But they are sat at a table that no one is drinking alcoholic beverages. This is the way it was years ago. I would call and double check because management has changed.

Hark, my man! Let it…read morebe known throughout the kingdom that Medieval Times knows how to put on a damn show. We went to the 6:45 tournament on a Saturday night for my nephews birthday, and from the second I walked into the castle, the energy was buzzing. Palpable. The wenches and barkeeps were singing, chanting and yelling. Children were running around. Birthday parties were everywhere. Young adults were drinking and carrying on. Some folks had even come dressed for the medieval occasion. But every man, woman and child in that castle had one thing in common: we were ready for the tournament. While we waited in the great hall, the people drank. They sang. They took photographs. They were merry. Frankly, it felt less like waiting for a dinner show and more like the whole kingdom had gathered because somebody was about to get their ass jousted. Then the doors opened. Into the arena we went, where we were greeted with excellent service. And I have to give Medieval Times credit for authenticity because some of these servers looked a little too much like they actually came from the medieval era. But friendly? As can be. And the drinks kept flowing. The Pepsi was heavy and sweet. The lemonade was tart, sweet and heavy. The tomato soup was, frankly, quite disgusting. But this ain't a food review. The Texas toast was excellent because nothing beats Texas toast, and the half chicken was moist with good flavor on the skin. Not quite crispy, but perfectly respectable. Besides, the feast is secondary. The action, my LIEGGAS. THE ACTION. Jousting. Sword fighting. Horses. Knights talking reckless to one another. The crowd screaming like we had personally pledged fealty to these men. Our section belonged to the Yellow Knight, so naturally we rode with Yellow. Or at least I did initially. At one point, the Yellow Knight, a rather swarthy-looking gentleman who had apparently grown entirely too comfortable with his station in the kingdom, began throwing roses toward our section. One of those roses went to my wife. Now. I cannot prove that the Yellow Knight specifically selected my wife. I cannot prove that there was intent behind the throw. I cannot prove that this man looked across that arena, saw another man's wife and decided that chivalry demanded he shoot his shot. But I know what I saw. And quite frankly, it upset me for the remainder of the tournament. I had been cheering for this man. Yelling for this man. Pledging my temporary allegiance to this man. And this medieval SOB repaid my loyalty by throwing a rose at my wife. Sir, have you no honor? Nevertheless, my nephew had a wonderful birthday, our entire party had a fantastic time, the atmosphere was electric, the service was excellent, and the tournament was far more entertaining than I expected and I had high hopes. Medieval Times is an absolute blast. Five stars. My only complaint is that I am reasonably certain the Yellow Knight was trying to steal my wife. HUZZAH.

We just had to show our confirmation email, and they gave us the accessories included with our celebration package before directing us to the line for our crown photos. There was a strong "livestock" smell when we first arrived, but it gradually dissipated as the night went on. The lobby is huge and has plenty of space to grab drinks before the show. We were running close to showtime, and the staff let us know that we could order drinks at our seats. We were then guided to our section and warmly greeted by the host. The service throughout the evening was great. It started with a selection of soft drinks, followed by garlic bread, tomato-based soup, a quarter chicken, potatoes, and corn. Another server came by to take our adult drink orders, and there was a fun variety of souvenir cups available to take home. The show itself was very impressive, featuring dramatic lighting, storytelling, acrobatics, exciting dueling stunts, and a beautiful flying falcon display. I absolutely loved seeing the elaborate costumes worn by the guests and all the festive accessories that added to the atmosphere. Dessert included a piece of cake and a Boston cream pastry. Unfortunately, I was already way too full to really enjoy dessert, but I'll plan better next time! Our photos we took at the beginning of evening were brought to our seats before end of show, which was a nice touch. After the show, there were plenty of photo-op areas to take advantage of. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Medieval Times for couples, celebrations, or anyone looking to get out and do something fun and different. It was a memorable experience, and we'd happily go again!

I still enjoyed my time each time even though we were probably the youngest as someone got my husband and I tickets here for my birthday the past two years. The music was fantastic and we saw the variety show and the Grand Finale show and I enjoyed seeing multiple genres of music. The lead singers and musicians were phenomenal, and I absolutely loved the costume changes. The outfit changes really held my attention and was a great part of the show. The food, however, was just okay. I wouldn't come here for the food alone, but rather for the overall experience and to do something different. The meal included vegetables, potatoes, mashed potatoes, spinach cheese ravioli, chicken Parmesan, pulled pork dish, and a pineapple fish dish. This was the same food both times we went, so I'm not sure if they ever change it, I wish they did for a change. The pulled pork and cheese ravioli were good, but I wasn't a fan of the other dishes. The chicken Parmesan was probably the worst I've had as it wasn't at all what I expected from a traditional chicken parm. Dessert is a slice of chocolate cake that's already at your table when you arrive. I did think it was a nice touch that they pass out foil before the show ends so you can take it home and not waste it. The recommended tip listed on a sign at the table is $5 per person, so in addition to your ticket price, expect to pay at least that much extra. Drinks are also not included, so that's another added cost. Overall, this is a great experience, more so for 50+ and would make a fun gift, especially for a couple looking to do something different. I wish they had a family friendly show where it encouraged families with kids as I could see my kids who love music at 2 and 4 enjoying the show and dancing!
