Always a fun night out without worrying about vulgar language. The audience is engaged with the comedians and Randy the host of the show.

The cast was hilarious, the drinks were great and they did an awesome job involving the audience. I was honestly worried it might be a little cringe, but I was laughing the whole time! What really stood out was how they handled a medical emergency toward the end of the show. One of the actors noticed right away, the lights came up immediately, they asked if there were any doctors or nurses and they cleared the area so quickly and professionally. It was really impressive to watch. Once they made sure everything was okay, the show picked right back up and everyone was able to keep having a great time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun night out!

Drunk Pirates is the offspring of the Drunken Shakespeare Society based out of downtown Phoenix in the Arizona Center. Find the parking valet on the west-facing block and look for the red door and the line. Once inside, you are sat in a "theater in the round setting" that holds around 75 people, so there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. You are greeted with a shot of blue curaçao as you prepare for the evening. For this iteration of the show, you are told the story of Treasure Island with a parody and improv twist. The actors are supremely friendly, funny, and approachable before and after the show, but when the show begins is where they really shine. As you can guess from the name, there are ample opportunities for crowd work, crowd participation, and improv games with pop culture references aplenty. Now for the four-star review. If anyone from the show reads this, I would say my biggest critique comes from the projection and pacing of the dialogue delivery. At many points through the evening, it was hard to hear punchlines either through the volume of the delivery or articulation. Another critique came from those sitting next to us, that I happen to agree with. A guy next to us was explaining to his friends that throughout the show, one of the actors would be the designated drinker and would be taking shots the entire performance. His party was disappointed when the actor took six shots the entire hour. I don't think we expected the guy to get commode hugging plastered, but we all hoped some bad decisions would be made and slips of the tongue would occur à la Drunk History style. At the end of the day, we had a great night and laughed a lot, and that's what we looked forward to. There are lots of cocktail drinks and not a lot of food options, so eat before you go. They also don't validate, so grab some Coldstone ice cream on the way out!

My husband and I came here for his birthday to see Steve Byrne…read more We love comedy but we have littles and don't get out much. They had an earlier show at 4pm and it made the bday weekend special- yes, aware that sounds old. At 40 and as early-birds... if it doesn't happen before 5- it's a hard pass!! Ironically this was definitely noted in his act having a 4pm show! After parking and getting lost in the parking garage- yeah, we don't make it into the city much but we got a couple flights of stairs in for no apparent reason that would later benefit the additional IPAs we drank during the show ‍ I loved that we got sat right in front next to the stage. Before I go anywhere I look into reviews on Yelp and Google to see the do/donts, and deals/tricks. Yes, plan to get comfy with your neighbor- they sit parties across from one another. As a party of two we sat next to another couple and so on. I'll admit, I'm not a size zero and my husband is 6'5- it was a bit uncomfortable. I can't imagine being on the thicker side or even an elder managing to get out and maneuver around seated patrons to go to the restroom and what not. We knew the two drink minimum would be required so we opt for the beer bucket that included six beers of your choice mix/match accordingly. Worked out great since they had Church Music and we shared an order of wings as we had dinner plans later. Service was great! Our server checked on us multiple times throughout the show. Reviews mention that it gets hot in there since they pack everyone in. It was freezing and I didn't take my jacket. I would've went back to the car to get it but it's a walk and we got lost on the way in lol. In Arizona businesses overcompensate during the summer and you'll find you wear your jacket more in the summer months inside than during the winter. Parking is free- just make sure you take your ticket with you and they'll scan it. We will definitely be back- yes, drinks are overpriced and tickets were reasonable. As for the show- not bad. Great laughs carried throughout and it's always dependent on the act which should be a separate review from the venue. Looking forward to more date nights in the city for sure!

I know if I get a seat here every seat in the room is a good seat. They have a very good sound system. I would say the serving staff are all very friendly here. I typically end up getting wine when I have to meet my two drink minimum. However, they do have several cocktail arrangements that you can choose from. What I like is that for each performer they typically will have a specialty cocktail designed around that actual comedian. So I like that approach. I usually like to catch the early show cause the crowd vibe is a little bit chiller. However, I've never had an issue at this establishment and will continue to catch my favorite comedians here. As I do think they extent a diverse roster of comedians. The last time that we attended, we actually ordered some food. And I really enjoyed the wings. I thought they did a really good job on the buffalo wings and the sauce was very tangy and the wings were fried hard as requested. All in all, it's a really good establishment with a parking lot and there are other places to dine and eat, near the establishment.

I know the drill so I ordered as soon as I sat down so I would not disturb other patrons who are there to see the headliner, not the club staff. Where do I start with my annoyance? The $21.95 Nachos or the $8 Diet Coke? My bad, the nachos are only $17.95, the extra $4 was for guacamole. My bill was $41 for just me at a single table. Or my extra annoyance at the waitress at the next table that stood in front of me while Mark Curry was performing? Not only was she blocking my view, she was loud so I couldn't hear some of his set. Like girl, you work here so lower it a few levels and get out the way? Ugh! Unless it's someone I HAVE to see, I won't be back anytime soon. See pics for the overpriced nachos. Edit 8/29/26 Downgraded to 1 star for a response that spent more time berating me than taking my experience as an opportunity to apologize. Alex you have defensive energy and that could definitely be detrimental to a business.

I've stopped by on numerous occasions to see both concerts and comedy shows, with the most recent being the king of sax, Kenny G. Celebrity has a paid parking lot but I'm not about that life so I park on the street for free and walk a few minutes over. The neighborhood surrounding the venue is a little sketch, but I've never had any issues. Now, for the venue itself. A rotating stage is nice because there's no bad seat in the house. It's a pretty intimate venue to begin with, and even better with the stage. That part is awesome. What's not so awesome is the space in between seats. If you're tall like me, I'm 6'2", you're going to be cramped. People were shorter back in the day. When it comes to concessions, limited options but pretty much standard fare. A couple of beer options, small and big, which I've done, wine, and some snacks. While Celebrity Theatre has some faults, they bring in some good acts.

We went through security, got our 21+ stamps and we headed on inside via the lounge area. We bought two drinks - one pumpkin espresso martini and one white chocolate cold brew. Both drinks were good, and the bartender was nice. The espresso martini was stronggggggg and I deff had a buzz going on after I finished it. Merch was being sold down in this area as well and there were plenty of seats and tables. We went inside once the opener started singing and we had pretty good seats. The seats were comfy but a little too small in my opinion. The sound sounded great. The concert was fun and the experience was good. I wouldn't mind seeing another show here in the future!

The show was fabulous and we all really enjoyed it (even my teens who complained about going to a show in the first place) We found the theatre itself easy to access and scored a great parking spot even though we arrived just about 10 minutes before the show was set to start. It said 7:30 start time but probably started closer to 7:45. Tickets were waiting at will call as requested and all of the staff working that evening were super friendly. At the performance we saw, the role of Evan, normally played by Mason Ballard, was played by his understudy, Daniel Shain Graf and he did an excellent job as did the rest of the actors. We purchased some refreshments at intermission, which were very overpriced, but that is to be expected at all entertainment venues these days.
