Had the breakfast, eggs, sausage, hash browns are excellent and avocado on wheat toast to top it off!

Great breakfast! Large portions and decently priced. Cocktails and Mimosas with breakfast, what more can you ask for?

The Brooks Bowl We split it, so they put in separate bowls, so imagine this but double the size.

If you're looking for a hearty, homemade breakfast, The Brooks Restaurant is a must-try. Their Brooks Bowl is the most massive, delicious, savory, breakfast bowl. It's loaded with eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy, avocado, onions and cheese. My boyfriend and I split the bowl, and we still couldn't finish it. The portion is huge. Craving something on the sweeter side? The huckleberry pancakes with huckleberry sauce and huckleberry syrup are another favorite. Again, portions are huge, so one pancake is plenty, but if you're extra hungry go for the stack. Food aside, the service is wonderful and the decor is beautiful. The lighting fixtures bring a modern touch to this historic building. If you live in Wallace or just stopping through, definitely give this place your business. Be warned though, on busy weekends there can be a wait so if your party is all 21+ you can order breakfast and eat in the bar.

Oof. Stayed at the Brooks Hotel and picked up breakfast here. The coffee is extremely weak. The cinnamon roll has the texture of microwaved white bread. The fried eggs are over cooked on the edges and undercooked in the middle. Which is exactly what happens when your grill is too hot and try to cook eggs too quickly. And the "avocado toast" is a horror show. If you have to eat here, stick to the huckleberry pancakes and tap water. You won't be disappointed with those.

This is a bright and recently-renovated restaurant in a hotel that time forgot in the charming Wallace, ID. I wasn't expecting an incredible meal, so I'll say it was serviceable. The burger and tater tots were good, but my friend ordered avocado toast ... which was just sliced, rubbery avocado on bread. I should have known after seeing it on the menu ... He liked his eggs and bacon, but again the food is average and not likely to endear anyone.

Thry also gave us refunds on the waterpark and snow tubing add ons. Everyone went out of their way to help guest and make right a situation that was not in their control. And on the opposite of the spectrum was the food. I was looking forward to the prime rib and it was utterly the shits!!!! Most everything was cold and worse than school cafeteria style! I'm relating to school cafeterias back in the 60's to early 70's. The potato salad was good and broccoli was not bad. Maybe I should have tried the ribs. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the food experience and paying what I paid makes it criminal!!! Did I set the bar too high??? I definitely recommend the gondola ride but you may be better off bringing your own food!!! What's crazy is that we were early and you think the food would have been fresh, hot, as well as tasty!! I wish I would have taken a picture of my prime rib entree so you could see that it more look like road kill!

In fact they're unlike most other businesses in Wallace and are open everyday until 2am. This is your typical no-frills dive bar with a pool table, a shuffleboard. Their wells and beers are $3 which are so cheap and amazing! I don't get complicated stuff at these dive bars so I stick to my whiskey cokes and shots of whiskey. They have happy hour from 4pm-6pm daily which is $1 off food and booze, so imagine your already-cheap $3 beers or wells becoming an astonishing $2. If you're coming here expecting a gourmet meal you should be looking elsewhere, because they have dive bar food which means frozen snacks. They actually have this cool contraption to deep fry stuff like tater tots or dumplings which apparently costs like $5k. The bartenders are all super friendly, especially Dave who I saw multiple days during my stay. I came here most days during my week stay in Wallace and this is one of the staples of the town. You'll meet very friendly people here who are always willing to strike up a random conversation.

Wallace Brewing has been open since 2008 with 8 beers in the tasting room. They have a tv and a pool table with seating inside plus 4 tables of 4 on the sidewalk. They do not sell food but outside food is welcome. Tyler was working behind the bar and he was very engaging. He told me about the brewery and some of their top sellers which are the Red Light Irish Red Ale and 1910 Black Lager. Both were very good and I ordered the 1910 - dark, malty flavors with the light to medium weight of a lager. It was great! This is true and there are multiple signs advising so, both prior to entering and just inside the door. What's the big deal you may ask. Aside from a brewey with no food being specifically for adults not being too far out, and for those who may want to avoid (or look for it), the mens room is adorned with full playboy spreads which could be controversial for junior. So, the environment & products are targeted to adults. The interior has mining decor and pinup decor, a bar top, pool table and a few tables with chairs. The beer we had was good for one and above average for the other. The wheat (with lemon wheel garnish) was a surprisingly tasty treat. It was out of the way for us but is right off the highway, so, convenient for a lot of people & the town itself is quirky.
