Last week I overcame my fears and got my eyebrows micro-bladed- a decision I had been thinking of for quite some time but had not got around to doing. After doing some online research I came across the Brow Room- a home studio located in Burnaby. With a competitive price, professional studio and website, along with many photos of her talented work upon her Instagram page- my decision was easy. Upon online enquiry, Agnes phoned me the same day to discuss options of appointment times, and dealt with the many questions I had for her, and offered some preparation advice. My appointment was booked for the week following. Upon the day of my treatment I was greeted by Agnes at her home studio. I felt very comfortable upon arrival, and after filling in a short health related questionnaire we got down to the business. Agnes allowed me time to explain the look I wanted to achieve via me showing some photos. Next thing I was getting various angles and lines drawn upon me with a chalk stringline. I had never known there were so many angles to consider! I could tell immediately Agnes has a keen eye for detail and the many stringlines assisted her in achieving the perfect eyebrow shape. With the lines in place, Agnes then stencilled around the outside for me to then see and decide if they needed any adjustments. This was great as it was the first glimpse I got of my new brows! No adjustments were made, I was happy with her outline and therefore we got straight into numbing the area (with numbing cream) in preparation for the procedure itself. During this time Agnes applied some colours to my skin to see how they developed and allowed me to choose which I thought matched my current colour. Agnes mixed 2 colours together to make the perfect match for me. Having never had a tattoo, I was quite concerned at how painful this was going to be. Agnes was very reassuring and went slowly in order to see that I coped. She informed me I would likely feel a scratching sensation and this was very accurate. There was no pain, just an odd scratching sensation. Before I knew it they were done! We had chatted away so much that the time had flown right on by. Upon initial glimpse in the mirror I was ecstatic. I finally had the brows I had wanted for so long- no more pencilling them on daily! Agnes has done a brilliant job in creating the look I wanted! I could not be happier. I was sent home with a set of aftercare instructions which I have followed diligently. I could be happier. I cannot wait to return for my touch up appointment (in six weeks, all inclusive) to show Agnes how my brows have settled, I cannot thank her enough and would highly recommend her services! read more

Great experience! Agnes is so easy to talk with:) She was very professional and explained everything to me in detail to ensure all was understood and to go over what was best for my situation.I had some challenges for her to try and correct from previous brow tattooing I had done..she did a beautiful job. Agnes is truly talented with tattooing real looking brow hairs. I did freak out a little in the first few days that my brows appeared dark and bigger than what I thought but this started to fade and was just part of the process but not the end result. Agnes really knows what she is doing and she takes time for proper measurements and outlines everything very carefully before she does anything to ensure all is very even and suitable for each persons facial features. She also makes sure she tells you everything she is doing including; that you see her open a brand new needle for your procedure. I am happy to have met Agnes she is a very comfortable person to be around, making my a experience easy. I am happy that I have a place to always go to for my brows to keep them beautiful in the future instead of my crazy half hairless untamed brows I been blessed with. Haha Great Experience... I would absolutely recommend The Brow Room to anyone wanting to have beautiful life like brows:) As a note; Just be prepared that your brows will feel very bold and dark for the first few days, this is just part of the process not the end result. : read more

I have been thinking of getting my eyebrows microbladed for about a year now and finally decided to get them done when I found Agnes! She was very prompt in answering my questions/concerns when I first inquired. She also allowed me to visit her studio before I made my decision. Her studio is professional, inviting, and CLEAN, which was the most important factor to me. When the big day arrived, Agnes was great in making sure that I was happy with the shape. She is a perfectionist and you could tell that she was experienced. After the procedure, I was just ecstatic about my new eyebrows!! They looked REAL and the strokes were exactly where they're supposed to be. The healing process was quite tough for me because I couldn't stand having scabby, oily eyebrows since I have to see customers for work on a daily basis. That being said, I did start to get concerned during healing, and kept in touch with Agnes almost everyday for the first week. She always answered my questions and was informative, reassuring me that everything looked normal. She reminded me to not touch/pick at my brows and let them do their thing. Lo and behold.... 2 weeks later, the naturalness of my eyebrows came through and they are looking awesome! I look awake without makeup and am so pleased :) Overall, Agnes has been amazing throughout the entire process and I would highly recommend her! read more

Agnes was the sweetest technician I have ever met. My sister previously had her eyebrows microbladed by another technician and from her horrible experience that I swore I would never get mine microbladed. After letting the color fade, she found Agnes through lots of research and reading reviews/testimonials and decided to give her a try (thank god she did!). My sister's eyebrows turned out so pretty and natural and the shape was super suited for her face. After she got her follow-up touch-up, I caved in and decided to get my brows done as well. Agnes was super experienced with what she was doing and spent a lot of time measuring out and perfecting my brows to exactly what I wanted before doing the actual microblading. She matched my brows to my face and was very knowledgeable on what brow shape fits what face shape, the perfect color against your skintone/haircolor, and exceeded my expectations. We then numbed my brows and began the magic!!! After the procedure Agnes made sure to go over the aftercare with me and gave me several ways to contact her in case I had any other questions later on. My microbladed brows have reduced my makeup application time by SO much and they look so naturally on fleek. I am due for my touch-up next month and can't wait to see her again :-) read more

Came to see Agnes with a lot of trust since I was scarred from the first experience by another studio. I've been following Agnes on social media since she started her career and have been impressed with her how far shes become and decided to give it a second try. During my consultation, Agnes listened carefully to what I'm looking for. She DID NOT rush me, made adjustments to every little stroke or line that I didn't like and I was very indecisive but she was very patient and explained my concerns to help decide what brow shape was best for me. This is exactly what you want from a tech because this is permanent and you don't want to be rushed into a decision. My touch up appointment was the same, where she was patient and made changes to what I've asked. I'm truly happy with the result and they look so natural and amazing! During after care, she would follow up to see your healing process which my last tech never even did. Agnes truly has heart to what she does and I admire her patience with me because I am extremely particular so THANK YOU! read more

If I could leave 1,000,000 STARS ..... I WOULD!!! This girl is seriously talented!!! I waited for 10 YEARS to get my brows done. Checked out multiple places over the years. Stalled because of fear. Fear that they would get screwed up and look ridiculous. Don't we all fear that before getting them done?! LOL :D I am sooooooooo picky!!! And of course...its my face!!! hahahaha!! Take my word for it.....this is your lady! Agnes was phenomenal!!! So much love for her. Her personality is amazing!! I had soooo much fun while I was there and felt so calm and relaxed. I trusted that I was in good hands and MAN O MAN....I was right!! If it means that I waited 10 years to find this beautiful gem.....then it was well worth the wait, because I absolutely adore my new brows!!! There is NO feeling like waking up ready to go and already symmetrically beautiful!! LOL If anyone reading this has been hesitating and just waiting for the "right" person.....look no further!!! You will LOVE this woman and her work of art!!! read more

Clean & beautiful atmosphere. I was very early for my appointment & Agnes was able to accommodate me. She was meticulous and detail oriented when mapping out the brows I wanted. I was able to see the shape before she started microblading it in. She was personable and easy to talk to for the 3 hrs I was there. I had my brows done about 9 years ago and it was horrible. One was higher than the other. Agnes' was able to correct & make the brows even again and more realistic. You guys should check out her Instagram to see her work. Her work area was very clean & organized. My brows has been healing and scab'n for 1 1/2 wk now. She provided an aftercare ointment to use 3 x a day which was helpful so I didn't need to go out and buy coconut oil. Some areas healed and scab off differently so I'm happy a touchup is included. Plus, any further changes or corrections can be completed at my touchup appointment. I'm very happy how my brows turned out. I will update after my touchup. read more

Thank you Agnes for my beautiful brows! From my first inquiry about her services through the entire process I had a great experience with her. I was very nervous to have microblading and shading done again as a previous experience left me very unhappy with the results. Agnes took the time to explain every step, answer questions, manage my expectations and calm my nerves. The detailed information she provided pre and post appointment made me feel prepared and took the guesswork out of what to expect (especially for post treatment during the healing process). She spent a lot of time analyzing my face structure, expressions and suggested brows to suit me. The planning, drawing/placement of brows and microblading/shading was done with incredible precision. Agnes is extremely confident, great at her craft and surpassed my expectations of the final results. I highly recommend Agnes and I am so happy to wake up with brows everyday!!! read more

Agnes is extremely personable and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole consultation and tattooing process. She went over how long each step would take, showed me the outline of my new brows before tattooing, coordinated the perfect colour for my skintone and hair, and made sure I was pain-free during the whole process. She was patient in her approach and was very accommodating when I told her I had a very sensitive brow area. The room was tidy and clean and she was organized throughout the entire process. The Brow Room also followed up the day after to ensure everything was healing properly and any swelling (if at all) had resolved itself. Agnes also provides 1 free touch-up and detailed after care instructions. I have no reservations in going back to The Brow Room for my touch-ups 3-4 years down the line. I will post pictures once they've healed but I've already gotten so many compliments :) read more

I put off having this treatment done for so long as I was so worried I might not like the results. Agnes was wonderful - she was so careful and made sure everything was exactly perfect. she explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it so I had a great understanding of the process. She made sure it was a painless as it could be and I don't like pain at all! Also, Agnes is so lovely to talk to that it was actually really quite an enjoyable few hours! I couldn't have dreamt a better result for my eyebrows. They looked perfect when she was first finished, and now it's 6 days later and they still look absolutely perfect. I have experienced absolutely no pain, no adverse skin conditions - I have nothing except perfect eyebrows. I have had so many compliments already! I highly recommend Agnes and the Brow Room - it couldn't have been a better experience for me! Thank you Agnes! read more

Agnes is extremely professional and friendly and takes good care of her clients. She was very knowledgeable and I trusted my brows in her hands (that says a lot!). The room's ambiance was also very nice which makes all the difference. I had done a lot of research before finally choosing The Brow Room. I was probably one of her nightmare clients because after we had finally decided on my brow shape after numerous tweaks and she had already numbed my brows, I freaked out last minute and asked her to change the tail end of my brows one last time. Given the stressful situation, she handled it with poise and helped me make the changes. She also followed up with me the next day to check in on how I was doing. I learned that everyone freaks out the next day about how dark their brows are and calmed down. I cannot wait for my free touchup session! read more

I have been wanting to get microblading for years now but just havent pulled the plug, a mixture of anxiousness and also the cost. But I am so glad i came to see Agnes, not only is she professional and very knowledgeable but she is so personable that any nerves you may have would disappear. The 1st initial session took about 3 hours only because she takes her time to measure your face, go over any pictures you brought and remeasure again. I can't say enough how much i love love love my eyebrows! After she was done, i couldn't stop saying how it looks like i was born with them cause it fit my face sooo well and that these were the eyebrows i have always dreamed of having. The shape, colour and arch of them were spot on. Most places don't include a free touch up but with Agnes it does. I highly recommend going with her, you won't regret it read more

I am extremely happy with my new eyebrows from Agnes! I had wanted to try microblading for the longest time and chose Agnes based on reviews, her informative website and portfolio of work. Agnes is truly an amazing eyebrow artist! She took the time to examine my features and carefully map out the plan for my new brows. She explained every step of the procedure and was super knowledgeable about inks and how they work with the body. During the microblading process she always made sure I was comfortable and asked how I was doing. It was such a pleasure seeing Agnes. I would highly recommend her services. She is so personable and sweet - she even checked in on me the day after to make sure everything was healing ok. My new brows have made a huge difference in boosting my confidence. Thank you so much Agnes! read more

I am so in love with my new eyebrows! Agnes is extremely professional she very carefully measures the new brows and ensures you are happy with the look before she proceeds. She spends a lot of time prepping the brows and style before she begins. She does not rush the process at all which I really appreciated. The studio is very clean with a zen vibe so you will feel quite relaxed during the treatment. The actual treatment is painless I felt no pain and was never uncomfortable. My eyebrows had been over plucked for many years so I had bald spots which Agnes filled in and the areas look very natural. Agnes added a little arch to the brows so they frame my eyes and the overall look is amazing. I am really happy with the final look, my advice is don't walk - RUN to get this procedure done. You will love it! read more

I thoroughly researched eyebrow tattooing and found The Brow Room to be highly recommended.  I thought "hundreds of positive reviews can't be wrong".  And I was right!  Agnes, who runs The Brow Room, is amazing!   Not only is she a talented artist, but she is a lovely, caring professional. Her cute, modern office is super clean and she has superb attention to detail. But the best part is her empathy and understanding. To illustrate: even though she told me my brows would be dark the first few days and then fade to their real colour, I panicked when I woke up the first morning and saw them.  Agnes was so patient and talked me down, asking me to trust her and the process.  I'm so glad I did!  They turned out perfect.  Please do yourself a favour and go to The Brow Room so you never have to have any regrets. read more

If I could rate The Brow Room with a 10/10 I would! Agnes is a true artist and I can't believe the beautiful eyebrows that she gave me. She was professional from the beginning to the end and took her time making sure that they were perfect and exactly what I wanted, even leaving the whole process in her hands! When she was done I almost cried because I was so happy. They were even better than I could have ever imagined! With after care I had a lot of questions and she took her time to get back to me immediately with any questions I needed answered. I look forward to the touch up session however I can't imagine them getting more perfect than they already are. It was such a great experience and there is no one I would rather go to that to Agnes! It's really a life changing experience! Thanks so much Agnes!!! read more

I would definitely recommend Agnes for eyebrow microblading. Agnes was very patient in answering all my questions and concerns. She was also very knowledgeable in terms of which colour would work best for me and the best shape that will frame my face well. She was careful when making all the measurements and during the tattooing process. No rushing at all; and I've had experiences at other places where they rushed the process. Agnes was also very professional in providing me with aftercare instructions and I can tell she really enjoys what she does and cares for everyone she works with. If you are considering eyebrow microblading and looking for quality work and service, you should seriously consider going to the Brow Room. There's a reason why the ratings are so high for this place! read more

@thebrowroom you are absolutely phenomenal!!!!! Seriously I am in even more love every time I look at my brows and they were just done too. I cannot imagine how they'll look after healing. I love them as just as is already from the moment you started even drawing them in and you got it *exactly* how I envisioned them. Couldn't believe you got it spot on just based on some photos and customized it to my face. You were total psychic My brows were ALWAYS something I've been extremely self-conscious about since the beginning of time LOL. And you balanced and evened them out. People don't even realize I just got them tattooed and just thought I was talented at shaping my brows. I was like nope!! Got it done by The Brow Room Thank you again and you are extremely beautiful like a model read more

I'd been thinking about micro blading for quite a while now because my old brows were very light, patchy and uneven. I did some searching online and Agnes was the first I looked into. She had nothing but good reviews so I sent a request in immediately, she called me that night and we booked an appointment for the following week. From as soon as I met her I felt confident with my decision, she was professional yet still very friendly and relatable. Her home studio was spotless. She talked me through the whole process as she went and made sure I was happy with every detail before we continued with the micro blading itself which was very comforting. Now I'm so happy with the results! It's cut my time getting ready in half and the shape is perfect. I can't wait for my touch up! read more
