This Sephora has really upped their game in the recent years! For one, the selection has really increased since the shop's opening. It doesn't have as extensive of a collection as the Metrotown or Robson location does, but it's a fair contender for its size. The employees, apart from greeting you, leave you alone unless you ask for help. Through my past few visits, where I've needed to purchase foundation and concealers, I have been absolutely blown away by the amazing help I've received (big shout out to Jessica!). Even more so, Jessica had taken the time to show me the best way to apply the concealers/foundation combo and set it for maximum coverage and wear - seriously, has my skin ever looked better? read more

I came here yesterday and I needed some assistance so I asked an associate for help, a girl with glasses and dirty blondish hair. She said she would get someone to assist me then went off to go do something else then just started chatting with another associate and completely forgot about me so I asked another associate who was awesome, who I believe his name is Sean and at least made up for the lack of customer service I received from the previous associate. I think it's just hit or miss with who you interact with at this store. The products are always fun to look at, pricey most of the time as most cosmetics, skincare and haircare is so I tend to find better deals at the online store than in store. If you want friendly assistance I would recommend Sean to approach who has black hair and tanned skin. He was just so pleasant to interact with. read more

This sephora is the WORST in the lower mainland. The employees here either don't even acknowledge or help you, or are super due and dismissive. Secondly, the store is disgusting (see photos). It's always dirty and doesn't look like it's been cleaned in months. I have walked out of this store many times because i'm so disappointed. I will be taking my business online. Sephora Canada. Like a candy store for women, the long awaited Sephora wait is over. Right in Coquitlam Centre, these stores carry all the make-up products, from the name brands, to the most simple tweezer for your make-up shopping paradise. I was pleasantly surprised that this place wasn't like the other two I have been to (Metro, PC), where at anytime of day, it is a zoo, and you have the sales people breathing down your neck to see if you would like any help. It's always pretty impressive walking into these stores with women who know what they want, but always end up buying more than they think they are going to get. I had no clue that you could get samples of colognes from Sephora! On my most recent visit, I had taken my cousin here since I told him that they had quite the selection of colognes available and that there is generally some nice eye candy to smile at while browsing. He was most definitely satisfied on both accounts and to top it off, the nice associate offered to make samples for us of some of the colognes we were huffing. To be completely honest, I had no intention of buying anything during this visit, but felt compelled to since my experience in the store went so well. To my surprise, since it was also nearing my birthdate, I was also provided a gift with purchase! Things were certainly "coming up Milhouse". Guys, don't be intimidated by all the girly stuff. There is plenty available for men in Sephora and it's nice to be temporarily pampered by women you don't know. :) read more

I love the wall 'o perfumes here - you can test out loads of scents without constantly having to ask the salesperson's help to open cases, etc. Vive la difference from the old department store model back at the Bay. I was impressed with the salesgirl here who was very friendly and helpful even while juggling several customers. (It was a weekday, but I think a lot of people were in the mall for the air con, just like me!) She showed me the groovy scent-finding/inventory system in the store, which is a neat tool for finding yourself a new scent based on old favourites (a smiliar search function is also available on the Sephora website). When I found a scent that I liked, but was too covered in also-ran candidates to tell how it really smelled on, she expeditously filled a small sample bottle so I could try it out some more before buying. Sephora, what would I do without you. You are like my bff and I always go to you when I need help. Well, help with my make-up and other fantastic beauty products that is. I am a true fan of Sephora and used to spend plenty of time in the stores in the US before it finally arrived here in the lower mainland. I am now one happy camper. Where else can you find so many great beauty products in one store. The coquitlam store is great. The much anticipated Sephora opened last week... I thought I would give the crowds a few days to die down. I bit cranky, a bit stressed out, and definately in need of some retail therapy I decided to check it out today. I liked the friendly greeter who offered me a basket. I also liked out I got to try a million different cosmetics without any pressure to purchase. It is definately still "opening busy" so sometimes getting to what I wanted was hard, but the store was immaculate, superbly merchandised, and they have all the lovely goodies which makes Sephora so great. This location seems to be a bit smaller than the ones back east and in America that I have been to, but it is Coquitlam afterall. I easily could have spent a few hundred dollars. I was hoping to buy my favorite red lipstick (brand: Urban Decay, color: Gash), which for some reason I didn't buy when I saw it in the Toronto Sephora, and strangely they didn't have it at this location. So a little sad over that... but I'm hoping the Vancouver location will have it. read more

The service at this location is always fantastic, however this past week I had the pleasure of being helped by a girl named Breanne and I was absolutely blown away. I was tired from a long week at work and feeling pretty indecisive, which didn't phase Breanne at all. I needed to exchange a foundation and figure out a new perfume that my boyfriend wouldn't hate. (This has been a long process lol) Breanne went through about six foundations and almost every fragrance Sephora had, all with a giant smile on her face. She colour matched me perfectly and even gave me a few fragrance samples to take home for my boyfriend! I had no idea this was even an option until she started to get them ready for me. My boyfriend loves one of the perfumes, and I am incredibly happy with my new foundation. I should mention that Breanne did this all as the store was preparing to close without making me feel rushed in anyway. Service like this is so hard to come by these days and this girl crushed it with absolute perfection. Well done Sephora! read more

Oh Sephora. A friend of mine refers to this store as her 'happy place,' and I tend to agree. It's so nice to be able to get all of your beauty needs from one place, rather than having to run around all over the mall to stock your powder room. I do wish that the selection in this store rivalled their American (or even better, the Paris) locations, but on the whole they carry most of the things that I use regularly. Other necessities can always be ordered from their website... I would appreciate more sales staff working the registers, as it always seems there is a very, VERY slow moving line at this location - made worse by the terrible 80s music blaring through the store on my last visit. I will admit I have a bit of an addiction to makeup and beauty products. So I come to this store often, even just to browse. The Coquitlam store does not have as great a selection of products as bigger stores like Metrotown/Pacific Centre, and even less than you'd see in the U.S. stores. Yes, you can order everything online but the products are still shipped from the States and you should know that you may be charged duty for receiving them in Canada. That being said, I do research most of my product reviews online and really like that feature of sephora.com. The in-store experience is never "the best" for me. It's usually difficult to find an available associate to answer questions, even when the store is not busy. On some occasions when I have been able to talk to someone they were not knowledgable enough in the products to answer my questions. This hasn't happened every time but enough that I will continue to research online prior to buying products rather than rely on what the associates might know. read more

What woman or girl doesn't love Sephora for it's bountiful shelves of skin perfecters, eye enhancers, pretty shades of polishes for your lips, nails and just everything to beautify your gorgeous self? We all love to play with makeup, we know it and whoever says that they don't - is playing coy. Yes, I love the convenience of this concept, but I must admit that when it comes down to it; I much prefer to be let loose in an Ulta shop over a Sephora any day. Especially, if on that day; I were granted a wonderful gift certificate for possibly $500-$1000 to go crazy with. That would be amazing! (But back to reality again... I do have to admit that since Ulta is still a US Only store that will not ship to Canadians - BOO)! Sephora is pretty handy to have close to home. Decent amount of collection but limited on some brands or completely zero for certain brands. A bit pricey but somewhat reasonable prices. Most staffs are pretty helpful and friendly. Easy to located and convenient. Lots of parking spaces, walking distance to bus stops and a bit further but still walking distance to skytrain station and they have free wifi too read more

This is the best Sephora out of the other locations within Lower Mainland. It is the least busy, and most of the time, I'm able to find what I'm looking for in stock. The other locations such as Metrotown and Downtown, their products are always out of stock, and/or misplaced. If you know what you are looking for, just go straight to the Sephora in Coquitlam Centre! However, the staff are much more helpful in the downtown location. read more

Used to love going here years ago when it first opened. Now it feels like whenever I'm at this particular location, many of the staff are inexperienced with make up AND customer service. The Coquitlam Sephora makes it a pain to return anything, even if you have all the correct documentation. A staff member also didn't know the return policy and attempted to turn me away when requesting for a refund. I had to inform the employee the correct return policy. There are some very knowledgable employees, but the ones I've been in contact with recently, have been unhelpful and at times rude. When I'm out shopping and spending my hard earned money in an establishment, I would like customer service. Unfortunately, this location seems to lack this. read more

I'm very torn. I absolutely love Sephora. I just don't like this one. I've never gotten good service here. I've been ignored, even when they were right next to and I'm trying to get there attention. They did talk to the lady next to me with her giant diamond earrings and coach purse.. I usually only come here if I don't want to deal with metro town. I was once in line to pay. There was a huge line up. I was next in line when a woman cut in front. The cashier looked at me, shrugged and proceeded to help the woman!! I was so mad I left. Can get all your cosmetics from every brand here + more. Similar to the bay cosmetic section, but you probably can rack up sephora points that are worth more than the bay points (points from the bay doesn't get you much or anything at all unless you have a million points at least). read more

This place always lets me down. Their selection is good and their products are excellent but the service here is almost always bad. Mac K said in a previous review that she was ignored for a woman with a Coach purse and diamond earrings. The sad reality of it is that they will ignore you here no matter what. I went in there one evening when it was dead and I was clearly shopping and buying because I already had a lot of bags (and I had a non knockoff Chanel purse lol - purses don't attract service here) and there were a few salespeople standing around talking. I was looking for a specific lipstick and would have bought pretty much anything they suggested too. It was just one of those days. I got zero help even after asking for it. I was told that the lipstick I wanted was "over there" and then they went back to talking. I went in again today knowing that I needed one thing, I wanted to try a couple and it would have been easy to sell me nearly anything again. No help. I wandered around for a half hour and didn't get so much as a "hi". The store was not that busy. I finally decided to just go and pay and not go crazy spending and when I got to the cash register I asked if I could please try a couple of perfume samples because I couldn't decide between them (and the husband wouldn't have been thrilled if I had spent a couple hundred buying both lol). The girl did not crack even the smallest smile and she barked that everyone was busy so I'd have to wait. So I waited a couple of minutes and another salesperson came over. She told me to follow her and then barged in front of me and literally knocked me into a shelf. So now I've got a scratch on my arm and she didn't even notice. Awesome. Sephora is pathetic! I went in looking for a product and I was told to check on line. I was happy and was having it shipped. I read that they often ship without signatures. I thought it was a lazy carrier. I contacted customer service to tell them I have no safe drop" Sarah" the online service rep informed me that once I got my tracking number I could get a safe drop area besides my front door, porch extra. I found out when I went to change it once I got a tracking number I was unable. NICE an electronic being sent uninsured into a swimming pool being left unattended. I could have gone to The Bay, Nordstrom etc to get the product shipped to the store as a safe drop. Again I checked for a separate safe drop being told I could. I will be contacting MasterCard and sending the letter I was sent by Sarah. As they normally insure. I am also contacting Canada Post with the same letter so that that could be sent out for people that think that they are the ones to change it when it's up to the merchants before they send the product. I never step foot in Sephora or order from them again if I get the parcel or not. I will be sending it back if it's still there as it will be left in the cold wet weather!!! read more

It's was my first time being at the store. The only reason why I went over there because they had a limited edition blush and also a few products I had to return. While I was at the cash, the lady who was helping me, I think she was the head person of the day. She said that I will get "flag" for all of returns. It had never happen to me before shopping at sephora since I was a teenager. I always return there and no questions ask or ever the SA said anything. I called the head office and ask them about it and they said they never heard of it before. Over all I had a bad experience. I will never return ever. read more
