Very nice server but this place tries to give you a heart attack. Are the eggs cooked in oil or butter? Butter. Is it real butter or margarine? Margarine. Ok that's not butter. Do you have real butter? I'll have to ask. Ok I'll have pancakes with maple syrup. We don't have maple syrup. What do you mean you don't have maple syrup? We have imitation syrup. (I had no idea such a thing existed) Ok how about the oatmeal? Do you want butter or brown sugar? You mean the margarine? LOL Yes. No thanks I'll just have brown sugar. The oatmeal was like popcorn ceiling goo. Like it's instant microwave oatmeal. Then my companion got two eggs and asked for bacon. He said, do you have bacon? We have the round kind. (I kid you not). You mean Canadian bacon. It's the round kind. That's Canadian bacon. Do you have sausage links? Yes. He got round sausage. We were told this place was the best in town. read more

Ate lunch here. Our party had the mushroom/ swiss burger, the pimento cheese sandwich, the hot ham & cheese and the off-menu "Beau's special" (hot turkey pastrami, cheese and pickles). This place started as a bakery and their bread is all homemade...GREAT buns!! Their sweet cherry lime is outstanding!! Nice, dependable place. there have been many men who have said that there was heaven on earth when they met the love of their life...many men have said that the love of their life was as perfect as they come and totally irreplaceable.... those same men might change their mind when they eat at "the bucket"... now lemme tell ya...i didn't even go inside...i just got takeout...and STILL..."the bucket" delivered... i can only imagine what it looks like in their holy workshop they got goin on in there....but food this glorious can only mean absolute beauty inside...i imagine it to look like a work of art if you will...art made to stand time...that time being eons...lightyears...eternity. i personally allowed my mouth to be lured in by the Jed breakfast burger. instead of ME eating IT...IT devoured ME...the bread...the jelly...the bacon...all forming smooth poetry in my face hole. thank you "the bucket"...for your humble service to all things spectacular. 5 stars doesn't do even the slightest justice to your pure awesomeness. read more

Great little restaurant in one of the best small towns in West Texas. I enjoyed my meal so much. You walk in, seat yourself, and a smiling waitress will come up and greet you. Their bread is fantastic and baked daily - can most certainly recommend the BLT. I also had the chili cheese tots because I wanted to totally wreck my diet and if that wasn't enough, I had two cookies afterward (truthfully I split them). The cookies alone are worth going back for!!! Best cookies I've ever eaten in my life. Prices were reasonable and they do accept credit cards! Very good... the hamburger buns and wraps are made fresh daily. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was great.

I stopped here for lunch on a road trip. It's a cute and kind of kitschy little place with old signs and bible quotes on the walls. I had the veggie burger. It was good, but I was surprised that it was just a bunch of veggies on a bun. That's not what I usually think of when I order a veggie burger. I highly recommend their homemade cookies. The prices were very reasonable. I would stop here again if I ever pass through Canadian. read more

The Bucket is always a great place for breakfast or lunch. I have heard they are doing supper now but I am not sure. Their breakfast is my favorite and anything with bread is a must order as it is made fresh daily. The bread is also amazingly tasty. Their cookies are also made fresh and are delicious. read more

A good alternative to the usual eats of a Texas small town (Dairy Queen/Sonic). Food was ok, nothing mind blowing. Bread was hot and fresh. Service was very good- they don't take credit cards so be prepared for that. Overall, enjoyed it! read more

Best bread I've ever eaten. They recently remodeled the whole place so now it is bigger and they should accept credit cards now. I love the sausage egg and cheese breakfast burger. They do daily specials during the week and those are to die for. Chicken spaghetti , cowboy pasta , white chicken chili soup, enchiladas at some of the specials I've had during the week. This place was good for Canadian standards. Mind you, they do not take credit cards. They have a nice variety of sandwich items and sides for lunch. Their big claim to fame is that they make their bread from scratch. Now whether they get their fries and chicken breasts frozen from Sysco or Ben E. Keith, that's another story. But I'm confident that their bread is homemade. My Bucket Chicken Sandwich and iced tea were pretty good but the fries could use some work. I would return again the next time I'm in town. read more

We decided that since The Bucket mostly food that doesn't take too long to cook we would go celebrate my birthday there for lunch. We showed up at 11:30 am and order soon after. We were one of the only ones there upon arrival. At 12:15 we got a part of our meal. Everyone who was there when we got there had eaten and left. When I asked out waitress why our chicken wraps were taking so long she stated they were busy. Yes, I get that you are busy but she never came to the table and said hey your food is going to take a little while longer or do you need more drinks while you wait for your food. Nothing. We got attitude when I asked about our meal and shrugged off like who cares that our meal of simple chicken wraps and sandwiches had taken almost an hour. I did not even get to eat because I was on my lunch break. My mother who had come to visit formed an opinion of "The Bucket hospitality". This is just another reason I never shop in town and rarely eat out in town. They don't care about the business they offer.One more reason my pay check and my husbands get spent in Pampa, Amarillo and online. read more
