I suppose after a few years of going to the same Massage Therapist I've become used to specific techniques, so please read this review with that in mind. (my regular therapist has been blessed and is off for a while) Finding this place through Yelp was So Easy. They replied within an hour of my inquiry. I was booked for an appointment very quickly. When I first went in to the office I was greeted by the two mascots, Jack and Morgan. Two Very Sweet dogs who were very vocal with their greeting and very happy to have me greet them with scratches and pets. After filling out the questionnaire, Jack was happy to sit with me for a while and get some special scritches and pats of his own while I waited. He was a comforting presence. Ms. Jerri walked in and then directed me to a room where she asked specific questions about my problem areas and left for me to get ready on the massage table. She was Very Thorough with my back, using a muscle scraping technique along the sides of my spine with what felt like her forearm and the side of her hand. There were moments I was tempted to ask her to stop, but she seemed to know and stopped before I said anything. Her work on my legs and feet was nice and very relaxing. I'm pretty sure she used some kind of wash on my feet with a wet, warm towel to clean them afterward. It was an interesting experience. Not at all unpleasant. She also did something I've never had done before. She lightly massaged my face and tapped at my brow and below my eyes on my cheek bones. It was nice because it helped open up my sinuses after being facedown on the table for a while. After the massage, I reassembled my attire, paid and left. The receptionist asked how it was and I smiled and nodded. I am not saying Ms Jerri is Not a good therapist. I Am Saying, It was the first time I was in her care. As I mentioned before I'm used to different techniques and pressures. My only real issue with this massage was that she did not focus on the specific areas I was having the most issues with, which were outlined in the questionnaire. As with any new experience, especially physical treatments, there is a learning period. Sometimes it takes a few sessions to get the treatments established for the client, and I understand that. Would I go back? Yes, if I am unable to see my regular therapist, absolutely. read more

Pros: easy online booking, availability, price, 60 minute massage vs industry's 50 minute. Cons: must like dogs (one growled at me--I did not come here to deal with that) and only my therapist bothered to wear a mask--no one else, not the rest of staff or customers in the lobby. The owner changed her original Yelp response to me only after previously defending the employee on Yelp. Most businesses would offer some consolation. I tried to contact you privately through your website and left my email and phone number prior to my original Yelp post. You emailed me and defended this employee again there. Now that you have been exposed you backtrack publicly. The employee in question was dressed shabbily in cutoffs, tshirt and gym socks plus no enthusiasm or finesse for her job as a massage therapist. Once again, I really question your business ethics. You hired this person, charged us full price for her services and then twice defended her. After other patrons became aware you try to save face. You never once attempted to make this right for my wife and even possibly gain a new client. read more

When you walk in the door you are almost always greeted by Morgan and Jack the two office puppos to tell you hello. The lobby is comfortable and inviting. I've been getting massages with Eliana for about 7 months now and my low back pain is completely resolved and my neck and shoulder pain have drastically improved. She caters each massage to what is needed and uses relaxation, deep tissue, cupping, and hot stones with me--all of which leave me feeling relaxed and in a much better mood. Excellent spot for massage therapy! I try to get a massage every 4-6 weeks or so to help manage some chronic pain. The Busy Body really fits the bill for the type of service I'm looking for. Sure, the massage is always relaxing, but Daria (who I've seen the most frequently there) always helps to work on my problem areas and leaves me in better shape (both physically and mentally) than when I arrived. She has the most adorable puppers - Morgan and Jack Jack - who hang out behind the desk and will greet you when you arrive. This isn't a swanky spa by any means, but that's not what I'm looking for. It's clean and comfortable, and the therapists are knowledgeable, highly effective, and respectful. You can tell this is the kind of place that has many repeat clients. I'm happy to be one of them! I had my first hot rock massage by Jennifer at The Busy Body spa studio and it wasn't what I expected, it was much, much more. It's basically a Swedish relaxing massage done with hot rocks held in the therapist's hands. This allows much more heat to be directly placed onto and into the skin while having a relaxing massage. I had just finished a 2000 mile road trip and my body was stressed with holding the driving position for such long periods, but this massage worked all the tension out of my body and neck and I felt like a new person. I almost didn't want to leave the facility because I felt so relaxed, almost like a stick of wilting butter. I highly recommend Jennifer as she has a rich pedigree, working at Marival and being very comfortable and experienced with using the rocks. Would go there on a regular basis if my budget could alot what is already a great price that she charges. I will go there for another session when i can save up the money or get one gifted to me. I have been in to see Daria twice now for massages, and *HALLELUJAH* I have found my place. I have had neck, elbow, and wrist pain for the past ~3 years. I usually wait to get a massage until the pain is unbearable, and then it goes away for several weeks or a couple of months and comes back. I have decided that it is time to face my pain and actually be proactive in managing it. I found The Busy Body via other Yelp reviews. I have spent a lot of money trying to find a masseuse who is consistently helpful, to no avail. Daria's methods of treatment are very different than a typical massage therapist, and her knowledge and skill level are very evident. I say this because she can locate the exact place where I am experiencing pain or discomfort and work it out. It's honestly a magical experience. No other massage therapist has listened to me about my pain and actually worked on those areas. Daria will ask exactly where you want to have work done, and she does such a thorough job of resetting my body that I cannot wait to see her again. A few things about her space: when you walk in there may be doggos barking from behind the counter that sound kind of scary the first time, but Daria lets them out to greet you and they are literally the calmest/snuggliest dogs that have ever lived. I love when businesses have "shop dogs", and Jack and Morgan are my favorite that I have ever met. Petting them is now a very important part of my massage experience. Also a maps app drops you off right into the medical/business plaza where The Busy Body is located, but because it is located in the far southwest corner of the plaza behind other buildings it may be difficult to spot from the road. Alright- lets start with the good things first. The place was clean and the man that gave me the massage was very polite and respectful and made me feel welcome. I have hesitated for a couple weeks now on writing anything negative because I honestly believe the massage therapist wanted to do well and had no intention of this being a bad massage. But I write reviews here all the time and I always read reviews too and feel like it is helpful- so here it goes. I booked a 90 minute massage and although I understand about alloying time in there for dressing and increasing and consultation- it was not a 90 min massage. Being new here- I took note of the time I went in and the time I left. I even kept it extra honest and deducted the 5 minutes early that I arrived. That being said- I left exactly 90 min after walking in and THAT included the time I filled out my paperwork... waited for a bit to be taken back, and then all of the above I mentioned. Also- when I walked in, although I was clean, there were 2 dogs barking and they did so a couple times during the massage as well. There was a woman at the desk when I came in and she just looked at me annoyed and made no effort to smile or say hello or address me in any way. As for the massage itself- I've had massages before and they were nothing like this. The massage that was supposed to be fill body with an emphasis on back and neck/shoulders was primarily a very inexperienced feeling back rub. It was more an up and down motion that in no way went with the grain of any muscles and just felt awkward. Perhaps this was because he specializes more in deep tissue? Not sure. He was able to match the pressure I said I wanted- but it was the technique that was extremely lacking and nearly non-existent. I had my second 90 minute massage with Daria yesterday. I have been looking for a therapist to see on a regular basis and I have found her. The rooms are quiet, very clean, and the temp is perfect. I am having some shoulder pain and it is noticeably better after Daria works on it. Her pressure is spot on and she is able to identify and bring relief to those pesky knots. She took notes after my first massage and referred back to them yesterday. I was impressed! Daria takes her practice very seriously. I have no doubt that the other therapists are as committed.
