Very pleased with the professional massage experience, from the phone reservation, to the check in, to the treatment! My reservation was taken by a well spoken receptionist who explained what to expect, all the way down to explaining that the five minute pre-treatment interview with the therapist would be in addition to the full 90 minute massage. Right Touch Massage is conveniently located on the back side of a small professional office complex. The reception area is small, but you are never more than a step from the shelf that has the free treats! The receptionist created pleasant talk while I waited for my appointment time. Before the treatment, Garrett took the time to ask me what I generally expect from a massage session, and what I hoped for from today's session. It is difficult to find a massage therapist who will find the right balance between a Swedish massage (not enough) and deep tissue (too much), but Garrett found the right balance. He even paused a short while into the session to ask if the pressure was OK. Garrett resolved the neck and back issues I wanted addressed, and the rest of the 90 minute massage was great too. This was the worst massage ever... I booked a 90-minute massage & only got an hour. The bedding looked dirty & my massage therapist smelt like they hadn't showered in a few days. I feel like I didn't even really get a massage because they mostly used a massage gun. I was hoping for a full-body massage, but I didn't get it. They only worked on the bottom part of my body for a total of 10 min. I am highly disappointed & do not recommend it. read more

When I first walked into The Right Touch for my massage with Laura, I was surprised by how friendly and laid back the place was. Often spa-like places are overwrought with aggressively calming music and attitudes. Instead I was greeted with comfortable, unassuming friendliness in a cute little office adorned with a few small massage/ relaxation-related items to purchase (a bunch of which seemed to be hand-made) and a table with teas, water and treats for the taking. The massage, of course, was wonderful. I've only had treatments from Laura at The Right Touch, so I cannot speak to the other therapists there, but Laura is an incredibly intuitive therapist, and didn't shy away from doing some deep work on my hard-as-rock shoulders. Laura even gave me "homework" of exercises I can do to improve my particular neck and shoulder issues. This may be problematic as I need less and less massages.... Hmmm.... Good thing they're still incredibly pleasant when I am not in tremendous discomfort. Edit (11/08): I just had to remove a star because their prices for their spa treatment just jumped from a reasonable $125 (hour spa treatment plus an hour massage) to a pricey $150. In case you missed it, that's a 20% increase! Their massages are the same prices, so it must involve the products. Hmmm. read more

I made a same-day appointment here when I lived in Tucson for a deep pain in the base of my neck/top of my back. I actually had to leave work early because the pain was so bad, and I was looking for a place that did 20-30 min. spot treatments for pain. I booked one with Right Touch, thinking it would help the problem, but not solve it (since I usually needed muscle relaxers to fix these types of flare-ups). After one 30-min massage with a massage therapist here, it was gone, no pills needed. This place is small but very quaint, and the prices are okay (not great, which is why I'm only giving it a 4 instead of a 5). But all around - I recommend giving it a try. Don't judge it by the outside either - you will be sorely mislead (no pun intended). read more

My schedule doesn't work well with planning ahead, and this is a place that almost always accommodates last minute scheduling. I can honestly say I've never had a bad massage here. My sister bought me a gift certificate to The Right Touch for my birthday and I finally got around to scheduling my massage 5 months later. I had no idea what I was missing! Their location, like so many in Tucson, is in a strange strip mall/business park - but I've learned that one cannot judge a place on its location, especially in this town. The quality of work I received was excellent. I received not only a body massage, but a massage of the mind as well. Patricia B. was my massage therapist and she did great work. You get a choice of a variety of aroma-therapy oils that they mix with their un-scented oil and Patricia incorporated my choice of aroma into how she greeted me and throughout the massage. After we shook hands she took a couple of deep breaths, which immediately led me to do the same. As she eased into the latter portion of the treatment, a "yummy" neck/scalp massage, she told me, "Think brilliant thoughts" and with my body being treated so well, my mind was defintely capable of brilliance! I never thought I'd be one to consider regular massages, but with this place just a couple blocks away I definitely plan on another visit. I didn't give the studio a 5 because they had a clock in the room with a second hand that kept tick-tick-ticking - which is the last thing you want to hear during a massage. Patricia is so good! She put me back together again after some nagging issues from sports and desk work. Wish I'd been seeing her regularly months ago. I feel so much better and I credit Patricia. First and last time I will go here. Thought I would treat myself to a new type of massage at a place I'd never been before and am disappointed I did. The facility was old and dilapidated, it felt like I was in someone's house, which was depressing because the price was almost equal to that of a higher end salon. The sheets/blanket on the table were like grandma's old floral sheets that she throws on the couch when you go over for an impromptu sleep over. I love massages and get them regularly and have never experienced a massage in a totally lit room with the standing lamp glaring in my closed eyes, I was expecting at least an eye mask to block out the glare once I realized the lamp was staying on but it never materialized. All in all the experience left me far from relaxed and instead left me reeling because I spent $98 for a 90 minute massage that I would never want to experience again. It was my fault for choosing a modality that was just not my cup of tea to begin with, I should've done more research prior to booking my appointment. The staff was very friendly but next time I will stick with what I know and go to Divine Touch a block away for half the price and a much nicer/serene environment. read more

Ahhhhh so relaxing! They take care of you and you leave and feel so much better then wen you came in! I have been the 3 time and I always feel so much better after! Right Touch is my choice for massage and spa treatments. I totally agree with the other reviewers comments. The owner is a therapist herself. I've been treated by 2 different women there and have enjoyed many excellent massages. The parking is easy. You get free aroma therapy, individual attention and friendly smiles and hugs. The scheduling here allows for 1/2 hour between massages, so you don't have to leap off the table when your time is up. I've been encouraged to take a nap after my massage. My husband and I have been going to The Right Touch for years now. It's always a pleasant experience because of the therapist we see, as well as the atmosphere. All of their therapists seem to have a lot of experience, but we always see Athena, who we've found to be amazing. She makes my back and shoulder pain go away, and she's just a very nice person, too. The staff and massage therapists all get along well, so I don't mind waiting while my husband gets a massage. Their prices are excellent for the quality of the massage.
