I have only experienced first hand massages with Sandy and Fred and both were very attentive to what I was asking for as far the pressure,in other words they listened and really cared that I received what I expected.. If your insurance covers a massage from them then cool, otherwise it's not a place I'd go by choice. Location: The location is a little weird. As soon as I got out of my truck I saw a broken down car and out came a man and a woman who were arguing (looked like sketchy people) and then homeless people were walking around the parking lot. So I was very cautious of my surroundings. Massage review: Definitely NOT a spa like massage. Vibes are definitely interesting too...got some hippy vibes. And finally, the massage was interesting. It felt like the elderly lady was using either her knuckles or elbow but it wasn't really relaxing and the room was cold to the point where I had goosebumps during my massage. No essential oils were used for relaxation and the bed/sheets weren't heated. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

I have been utilizing Tucson Touch Therapies for 10 years now. Despite having personal friends in town who do massage and who give me a "friend's rate", I still come to Tucson Touch Therapies. One of the things that first attracted me was the availability of appointments all days of the week with extended hours. They have dozens of therapists. I also love the ability to often get a last-minute appointment. Every therapist I've experience here has had the ability to work on me therapeutically. My current therapist of choice is Fred, he understands body mechanics, cranio-sacral, and is able to reduce the various musculoskeletal pain I experience as well as give me suggestions and movements to help beyond our session. Being a massage therapist myself, I am rather picky about the massage work I receive. If you have seen my review of Power of Touch, you know I'm not just blowing smoke with this positive review. Before I went, I read these reviews and asked my massage therapist friends for recommendations of therapists. I have heard mixed reviews of the place and the therapists, so I was feeling cautious. The therapists that were recommended to me were not available during the times I had available to go. There was only one therapist who had an opening when I was available, Michaela. The one thing I did not like about the experience there was when I called to make an appointment. I felt like the woman who was doing the scheduling wanted to make me think that Michaela was a fit for me just because she was the only therapist available during that time. I got the strong feeling that she was saying whatever she thought would get me in there, and that really annoys me. However, I really needed a massage and so I booked it. The experience of actually going and getting my treatment was fantastic. My last client at work arrived late, so I ended up getting to Tucson Touch Therapies a little bit late, rather than a few minutes early to fill out the new client form. Michaela greeted me at the desk and was calming immediately. I have been under a lot of stress lately, so her calming words and presence were very helpful. The massage itself was skillful, adept, and she clearly has good knowledge of anatomy and the fascial system. She did a full hour, even though I arrived a little bit late. I felt relief of pain and tension after the treatment, and I will book with her again, and try out the other therapists that were recommended to me. I understand that friends of mine have had less good massages there. I also admit that my pain was relieved quite temporarily, but I have been neglecting getting massage as regularly as I should and I did a fair amount of physical activity the next day (yesterday). I think the name of the game at Tucson Touch may be research your therapist first, see if they seem like a good fit for you, and then make your appointment. This is where massage therapists would go - and why? Because Tucson Touch was founded by some of the best teachers from the now defunct Desert Institute of the Healing Arts...and they are extremely choosy about the therapists they take on. My favorite therapist not only taught at DIHA and Cortiva, she taught massage at Pima Community College and at high end seminars in five star spas around the world - and she's taught acupuncture at the acupuncture school. She does this thing with moxa on the end of the needles for weight loss - and the whole experience is incredible. She actually removed a large mass on my foot with acupuncture, which I was previously told would have to be surgically removed! I was pretty skeptical about acupuncture - and I admit afraid of the needles. But they are thinner/finer than paper and not like other needles - not painful. I also questioned whether it would really work - seeing is believing. If she'll do it, I recommend a combination acupuncture/hot stone massage, the complete package! Most massage spas offer similar services and a pleasant, calming atmosphere. What separates Tucson Touch from the chaff is that their therapists are in a different league - it is the high end but without the higher price. read more

Migraines control my life and a big contributor to them in tendinitis in between my shoulders and neck. So it's very important for me to go to people who can actually take care of me. This is a great place to get a massage. I normally get a massage from Mary who does really good deep tissue work, but unfortunately she's away until mid September. They set me up yesterday with someone else (I will revise this to include her name when I find it out) who really was effectively able to take care of my shoulders. There's another massage therapist I go to separate from TTT who is simply the BEST. I've been going to her for *years.* Her name is Andrina, but she's always bouncing from place to place so I can't write a review for her wherever she is. As a retired licensed massage therapist, I was happy to find many therapists with many talents in one place. I've been with Sandy and David Anderson since they started Tucson Touch Therapies (T3) with 3 massage rooms in their first office. I've watched their success grow through hard work and fair dealing. All T3 massage therapists are Sate licensed. The massage therapies offered include neuromuscular therapy (performed by a certified NMT instructor and other NMT practitioners), deep tissue massage, sports massage, shiatsu and Thai, along with acupuncture and reflexology. Due to injuries and health concerns, I've tried them all! I must say I haven't found any therapist or any therapy that I haven't benefited from. Don't worry -- you'll be well taken care of and any concerns you have will be addressed -- just ask. I'm happy to say that many of my former clients are now clients of T3. I recommend them to everyone whether they need/want relaxing massage or a good deep workout. As long as I live in Tucson, I'll continue with T3 and all the friends I've made there. I've gone to three or four different masseuses here and had a great deep-tissue massage each time. Scheduling is easy and TTT is open evenings and weekends. My absolute favorite therapist is Joanna; she has a great vibe, but more to the point, her massages are incredibly subtle but equally effective, even on the worst knots. Come here if you're a hippy, or you have a high tolerance for dreamcatchers and pan flutes. The therapists are alright, but they don't necessarily go by the clock. You get your massage when they're done drinking their coffee or gossiping with another therapist in the break room. Meanwhile the waiting room is not very comfortable, and it seems kind of odd that there's a bunch of weird hippy dippy crystal stuff and overpriced jewelry and photography. Maybe it's just me, but a gift shop in a massage therapy location just seems cheesy and unprofessional. But unprofessional is sort of a theme here, so I guess it is appropriate. I want to be clear that this is a review of the establishment and not of the individual therapists, who come and go like vagabonds. If you have your favorite therapist, great. But the place itself is another matter altogether. read more

Have had several different modalities at this location including massage, healing touch, facial. It is a pleasant space, limited waiting area right up front across from the receptionist. Not soundproof in the rooms, and one can hear others laughing, dogs barking, etc. whilst having one's treatment. The massage therapist (yami) was very technically superior, very thorough in addressing all muscles and joints, and uses a very firm touch throughout. She did check in several times regarding the amount of pressure. I appreciated that she used a minimum of oil, so as not to be a grease slick afterwards. I had a facial with Stacy (who is no longer there) and she did an excellent dermaplane and a very basic facial, no extractions, one quick mask. Claudia did healing touch and she is very thorough and adept at her work. What I did not appreciate about this place is that the therapists are contract workers, and when their appt is finished, they can be out the door before you finish with another treatment, and then it gets very awkward and sketchy as to how to tip them. My tip was placed in a generic white envelope. I wonder if she will even get it, much less know it came from me? The check-out procedure is a bit weird, in that the therapist handles the financial transaction, vs. a front desk clerk with labeled tip envelopes, etc. Not a real issue, just different from other places. And, yes, depending on your therapist, there is a lot of flute music playing......I liked each of my therapists, but I just don't know about my comfort level of going back to the establishment. read more

I've been going to a therapist at TTT for several years now. My therapist, Ken, is some kind of muscle magician - he can always find the trouble spots, even if I'm not aware of them, and he really puts in some concentrated work to resolve them. He's helped me through some significant aches and pains and has even helped me to recover from old injuries over time. Cannot recommend him enough for those who want deep tissue work. My friends and family who've come here and seen other therapists have also had good experiences. The hours are convenient, including nights and weekends, and the place is very pleasant, quiet, and clean. Parking is abundant. read more

I'm a strong believer in therapeutic massage. For years I've frequented the same massage therapist who moved a few years ago. Since then I've struggled to find someone who does a decent job and I feel comfortable with. TTT was suggested by my wife, I called and made a random appt. and was scheduled with Jessica Courtney. Turns out this girl rocks. Jessica is very professional, yet personable enough to make you feel comfortable. She really cares about your well-being. I have a shoulder issue and she has help me regain most of my range-of-motion. I've been to TTT many times over the last year and the only person I ask for each time is Jessica... even my wife has switched over to Jessica from her normal therapist. No matter what your issues are, you will come out feeling better when Jessica is done with you. $65/hr... I'm a cheap skate and hate paying this much, but every time I step out and go elsewhere I regret it... Jessica is worth every penny ; ) read more

Did some neuromuscular work that wasn't required for my specific injury so it would have been great beforehand to be told that tendonitis does not require this modality and I could have saved quite a lot of money.
