Amazing flavor on a huge steak.

Great little local butcher shop. Family owned. Amazing selection. Beautiful steaks. Fish, and they do soups and sandwiches as well. Just absolutely top-notch. Could not be happier with the service in the staff. Everybody laughing and smiling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You know it's just an amazing place when you walk in the door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Usually a good place to get sandwiches. Haven't been in months and the quality has been reduced tremendously. Not only did they give me the wrong soup, but I also found a piece of hair on my sandwich.

Decision making time. I opted for the wasabi caviar. I also bought rattlesnake.Alexforsythe

Fantastic local shop. If you haft to ask you can't afford it. I suggest the pre-done apps

    Famous Meatloaf Sandwich... $9.95
    Amanda J.

I hate to have fallen in the middle on an old established business, but Butcher's Block was just A-Ok for me. I ordered the Famous Meatloaf Sandwich ($9.95) on sourdough bread. The bread was fresh but tasted like Italian bread. I also added lettuce, tomato, and light ketchup, which made the sandwich fall apart. There was a very thin layer of meatloaf so it seemed odd to use bread that could not hold the sandwich together. So while the sandwich almost filled me, it was just not exciting. The help was very nice, although there is no line structure so people just stand everywhere and shout out. Once you get outside with your food, there are some tables and chairs to dine at. There was also a two stool counter inside. All in all, not bad for a quick sandwich but nothing notable.

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.

I got the the tip about Side of Beef and cant say anything but great things about their meat. I got to go to the farm and Leo was kind enough to show me around and get to see the farm and all the cows. This is as close as you get to getting from farm to table. Leo is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Not to mention that this meat is extremely high quality and one of the best tasting meat I have had in a while. Highly recommend!

Curious about what they offered I called to ask a few questions. Not only did they answer my questions they went above and beyond offering to sell our family individual steaks even though that isn't their main product. Leonard followed up with a text including a Google pin, sent a video of their ranch, and reached out again right before our trip to set a time to meet up. The visit to their ranch and steaks did not disappoint. The steaks are lean, offering a delicious and healthier steak that our family enjoyed, including some picky eaters! I highly recommend checking them out, whether you're visiting the area or looking for locally sourced meats.
