This caboose was named the "Nickel Plate High Speed Service" number 1015

This is one of the more unique places I've ever stayed. It is super conveniently located next to the Oil Creek & Titusville's Perry Street Station. Even if you are not into trains that much, you'd have to appreciate the charm and nostalgia offered by these cabooses turned into individual motel rooms. A couple of the cabooses are also dog friendly, which was great for us. Our kid absolutely loved the idea of sleeping in a train and being so close to all sorts of other trains for passengers and commercial use. The rooms were surprisingly nice and clean. The air conditioning worked great, though it was a tad loud. Prices are very reasonable. The only drawbacks for us were that the pillows are a bit flat and they only gave you two, the bed was a tad firm, and ice can only be retrieved (for free) from the office. A mini fridge would have been a bit more practical.

Super clean rooms, great staff stayed in the Wabash caboose awesome! Came from Wisconsin for the Great Eastern Cutlery Knife Rendezvous. Will be back again just to enjoi this little slice of heaven in Northwest PA. Also they have really cool Tye Dye shirts!

You obviously know ahead of time, that you may be staying in a caboose with a cupola, so if you want to sleep in and don't want the light streaming in, choose a different play to stay.

First bed and breakfast I have stayed in and this place has me sold. Gorgeous, big old house with…read moreso much charm. Amazing wood framing and floors, private guest rooms (two share a large patio off the front of the house), two kitchens and so much more! The owners are the sweetest! They are more than helpful, accomodating, knowledgeable about the area (history and local events). Plus, they make a killer breakfast! As a "green girl" I sincerely appreciate the heath and sustainability of the couple and the property. Your eggs can be fried with coconut oil and paired with fresh vegetables from their garden. They compost and only clean with sustainable products. Also earth concious, they have solar panels and water efficient toilets. The rooms are cozy and the beds comfortable as can be. Even the pillows were great - I know because I usually have to travel with my own due to my TMJ. The master suite has a phenomenal hot tub (see pics) which is well worth the stay right there! Better than any of the finest hotel tubs in Vegas, which I know first hand. Note, it's right off a semi-busy street in town and you can sometimes hear the traffic, but when the windows and doors are closed you barely hear a thing. I highly recommend and can't wait for the opportunity to go back!

The building was a structurally sound gracious old home, yet the amenities were as modern and accommodating as one might find in a modern hotel. As I looked around in every room, on every wall, on every table and in every nook there was a well decorated elegance and charm - books, throws, photos, art and even grand pianos (2). More importantly Marty and Ann are the quintessential hosts. The perfect balance of charming and engaging without hovering around. Their breakfasts are delicious and Marty's coffee (New Orleans style) is the best. Don't miss breakfast! I cannot recommend their fine house and their warm company strongly enough. Tom and Allison

It doesn't matter if it's the middle of summer and you can spend time on the river, enjoying a nice fall hike, or watching the snow fall, the views can't be beat. The rooms and lodge itself have been designed for the most comfort. Every little detail from the cookies in your room when you check in, to the amenities in the common areas insure that the tranquil feeling stays. If you're lucky enough to do the taste of the wilds dinner, I highly recommend doing the wine pairing with it. Everything was paired out so perfectly and it was one of the most enjoyable meals we've ever had. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate when sharing the information about the wine. All the staff went out of their way to ensure you had the best service.

The daily breakfast baskets were a great start to the day, especially before heading out hiking (we went looking for river otters). Coming back, jumping into the hot tub by the fireplace felt like flipping the off switch on real life. Dinner Saturday night was excellent, and the wine pairing was clearly chosen with care, not just checked off a list. And the chocolate mousse with espresso salt? That's the kind of thing you remember long after checkout.
