I've been to this Cafe before in the summer but the winter is also a great time to go. Arrived about 9AM, I ordered a black coffee which is very good quality, better than the green fish girl place and as good or better than 7 brew. It's worth coming down to the square, parking and walking in. I got a homemade square biscuit sandwich with fried egg-perfection--no brown bits, they were out of sausage so they put bacon and I'm so glad they did!! Best bacon ever--none of this store bought stuff!! Swiss cheese and i went for the Rosemary jam. With my coffee, the only thing that could have been better would have been a cozy fire to sit by!! Love, love, love, love, LOVE The Cafe on Broadway. I come here a lot to study but mostly I love their breakfast paninis and their lunch sandwiches and salads. This is also the only place I can find peach oolong tea, my favorite! They also have wonderful pastries and other little items at the front, I always get the special where I get 3 items and it's a reasonable cost for a lovely lunch. We are out of town and went there for the first time. We did not want anything really heavy and so we thought we would go here for maybe a sandwich or something along that line. My husband said we pulled up there about 6:35 PM and we both knew they closed at 7 PM. We walked in to look at the menu and order our food and the hostess, the young woman working the cash register told us,"Just to let you know, we are closing at 7 PM." The introductory conversation then went on something like this... I asked her, "Is it OK if we stay here and eat" and she responded, "Yes, as long as we're still here." I then asked "Are you going to leave us here," she let us know they weren't. At that point, had we not been out of town and wanted to get back to where we were going, we would've probably left. I was shocked and so was my husband! I ordered the quiche and my husband ordered a chicken salad sandwich with potato salad. My quiche was plentiful to me, it was a vegetable quiche and it very much reminded me of a hearty vegetable pizza. My apples and bananas that were cut up together were good and I enjoyed the first class of sweet tea. My husband said his chicken salad sandwich tasted average to him, at best, and would give it a two. He said the potato salad seemed like it was prepared well, but it was not his cup of tea. I think the initial introduction to the restaurant pretty much ruined it for us. The young man who prepared the food and brought it to us was pleasant and that was a plus. I had to ask for a refill on my tea and it did not taste like sweet tea the second time and so I just left it on the table. As a whole, our first time it was not a good experience. I don't think my husband every wants to go there again and I'm not sure what the family felt like that was coming in at 6:56 PM as we were getting ready to leave. read more

Need to be able to give a 6 on Yelp. A 5 is given for generous portions of high quality food at reasonable prices served by genuinely nice people in a great ambiance. However, when a restaurant does all that plus the owner makes it part of the business to make a positive impact on the community, there needs to be an extra big star. Don't let the classic storefront dissuade you, this is a nice sized establishment with lots to offer. You can get a quick sandwich, or gather with friends in the back to play games while sipping on an adult beverage. Or you can order a cake for your next event and stock up on bulk Onyx or Arsaga's coffees. A must-stop, even if you have to drive off hwy 412 a bit. The Siloam downtown is very nice and inviting. I would suggest getting together with a few friends and spend some quality time. read more

The cashier was unfriendly and extremely sarcastic, which really soured the experience. Really enjoyed this place after a journey wandering around downtown. The double shot did the trick pepping me up! The gluten free, dairy free lemon cupcake was light and fantastic, and my boyfriend's chocolate chip cookie and berry smoothie rocked. "I'm so sorry ..." is the most common thing I keep hearing. There's a huge turnover in staff and it shows in their customer service. Two out of three visits we've had our orders wrong or items not brought out until we asked for them. The food is a high mediocre and would be acceptable if they could be more organized. The soups ate quite good, as is the tea selection One sandwich first came not gluten free then was replaced by a completely different item. Really, really good coffee. We got five very different drinks (a beer, an americano, an iced decaf vanilla oat milk latte, a hot latte, etc). All of us loved our drinks and my decaf latte was delicious. The cashier was super friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great, the cookie we shared was so tasty. BLT with soggy bacon, soggy lettuce, unripe tomato, what can I say? Also got a monte cristo sandwich. Now google says a monte cristo sandwich is and I quote: "A Monte Cristo sandwich is an egg-dipped or batter-dipped ham and cheese sandwich that is pan or deep fried." This was ham and cheese sandwich put on a grill to get the grilled marks on the bread. The ham was the lowest quality ham that could be bought. Huge disappointment! Trying to give local places my business but can't do it with this kind of quality and disappointment. No one ever asked how was the food? When we left no one said thanks for coming, nothing, come back and see us, nothing....silence as we walked through the restaurant and out the door. Very rude. The owner harassed my daughter and her friends because they didn't order fast enough. She told them if they did not order they had to go. This place has the vibe. The staff is super nice, the drinks are very good. They have a diverse food selection. I like coming here when I have time, but when you have a family and kids and no drive through zipping through isn't really an option. I would ride my motorcycle from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Siloam Springs (90 minutes each way) just to visit this little gem. It's a coffee shop/sandwich shop/book store. Every time I went in I felt welcomed and at home. I can't comment on their coffees because I don't drink coffee but they have a good selection of tea. I can also attest to their food being quite tasty. If you've never been to Siloam Springs, there's not much there to see. But if you do happen to be there, make a stop here and relax for a bit with a bite to eat and a drink. You'll leave recharged and ready to continue on. read more

Food was average. Took almost 30 minutes to get a panini and a Mediterranean salad. The panini was cold, they did not make the salad the way requested (without onions and tomatoes) and was missing olives. They got the drink order wrong, never offered a refill of tea, and in-fact never even checked on us. I had to go to them and ask for the correct drink for my wife and then again for a refill of tea. I could understand some of this if the place was busy, but it was completely dead. The potato salad was above average but that's the best compliment I can come up with. I think the place has great potential but needs some management/leadership. read more

We stopped in for lunch on our way through town. What an absolutely charming downtown location! We loved sitting outside under the bistro table shaded by an umbrella. The young ladies running the cafe were so pleasant! We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches, a turkey club and a chicken melt. The side of potato salad was light, fresh and perfect! Even the iced tea was great. We finished up by sharing a fabulous peanut butter cookie, one of the best I've ever had.
