Crusty Bread and Southern Fried Cheese Stix

Cajun Corner on Broad is one of the most regarded restaurants in downtime Eufaula! Packed with amazing and delicious food, the environment is lovely and inviting. Service is great with waiters more than willing to check in or be asked about what they recommend! My and my family's food was amazing and we will totally be going back the next time we are in town!

We just happened to be passing by and was craving some good fish and comfort food. Boy am I glad we stopped! The food was fantastic! I don't think I've had better food. It was flavorful and innovative and fresh. Service was great, they were a little busy, but any wait I did have was made up for by the food. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but I ate it too fast! Eggplant stix and crazy bread are a must. I got two large pieces of fried grouper and a large portion of fries at lunch for $12.95! Great food and atmosphere. If I'm ever passing through Eufala, I'll surely be making a stop here!

The food is excellent. We ordered the cajun fried egg plant appetizer, which was unique and a great use of egg plant. The North Shore Pasta and steak were also good. I think they were either slammed or under staffed, as service wasn't great. We never got several drinks we ordered, but they tried to charge us for them when the bill came. I think the food is good enough to come back and try again. I am hoping the service issue was just an anomaly.

We came in for an early dinner and were seated quickly. We asked about local brews but closest they had was 38 from FL. So we had 38 and Deep Eddy Lemon and tonic. They were served quickly and were very good. We ordered the Cajun Sampler of fried pickles, eggplant crawfish. We enjoyed it with the house sauce with horseradish. We ordered cajun burger with sautéed vegetables and Blackened Shrimp, Crawfish and Grouper with sweet potato fries. The hamburger was good but the vegetables let a lot to be desired. They appeared to be steamed and were not hot. The Shrimp, Crawfish and Shrimp were amazing along with the sweet potato fries and sweet sauce. Crawfish Etouffee was great with good spice. Over all the food was amazing but would discourage getting the vegetables. The restaurant is clean with New orleans pictures hanging on the wall. The restrooms are nice and clean. Our service was good but had to find waitress to pay our bill. We will be back when in the area.

    Saturday evening

I was planning to take out my husband for his birthday dinner to Cajun Corner,it was a huge disappointment! We walked in to the restaurant around 8pm on a busy Saturday evening. The restaurant was crowded and loud inside so we asked to be seated outside. After the hostess conversed with the servers,no one could serve us outside so we wanted to make it easy and ask to be seated inside by the door. Hostess said go ahead. After a few minutes she came back and informed us that we have to move because the table was reserved. I sad no problem, can we sit at the bar. She said, yes. We set at the bar and watched the very unprofessional bartender scooping slashes with her bare hands.... We set there for about 15 minutes..... No one asked us if we needed any water or wanted to take our order.... So after being ignored for a good amount of time we just decided to walk away. Very, very disappointing. And to top this of ironically the Cajun Corner is not even on the corner anymore. I was really looking forward to have an exciting Cajun dinner after reading the reviews and the menu, but it is really not a good place. Worst costumer service ever! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Not bad for AL! A bit too oily, but portions are very big and come with a nice side of bread. I was ignored by a lot of the wait staff when I showed up, but once I was seated service was great. Not a bad experience overall.

I wasn't feeling too well when we met my mom out for dinner as we were passing through, so I only had the baked potato this time, but the server was so nice to make sure everyone was taken care of and he checked on how I was feeling with sincerity. I wish I could remember his name, but he knows who he is and thanks for being so kind. We always eat here when we visit my mom who lives in Eufaula, Alabama. My husband is from Louisiana and bleeds purple and gold. I consider myself one of the best Cajun cookers around and I'm always pleased with the food here. When I go out to eat, I want to eat food that is at least as good as I would make and Cajun Corner doesn't disappoint. It's at least as good. My husband's grouper was tender and cooked perfectly, but just had a little too much sauce and things going on in the sauce with too many veggies. The cheesy bread they serve prior to the meal is always on point. Fried green tomatoes were yummy and wish I could've gotten a regular meal, but hopefully will be back again!

It was a good experience with very few minor mishaps. My food was good but my grandmothers and mothers was greasy. The service was good tho. Nice waiters and staff as usual. Over all, great experience. It's a tradition to go here for us anytime we go to Eufala. I love this place and always will.

Looks nice and a good menu. Can't say if the food is good because the cooks must not wear hair nets. Keep the human hair out of the food!

The shrimp was a little overcooked. The shrimp po boy was layers on layers of flavor that has me only imagining how good their etouffee and gumbo must be I did wrap up with an order of beignets which were very could but could use a dipping sauce (I know that's not how they're traditionally served but I think it would make it better). That's the only reason we chose this place to celebrate my son's Turning Green ceremony after 10 weeks of basic training. We ordered a lot of food, and almost everything was mediocre or just bad. The wings were tiny, we never received the gator bites, and the snow crab legs ($96 for 5 clusters) tasted freezer burnt with a terrible aftertaste. We added boiled eggs, which were overcooked, and paid extra for potatoes we never received, though it didn't matter because the ones that came with the boil were bland and completely unseasoned. But the biggest issue? The crawfish were frozen. That was the whole reason we came. When I spoke up, the server said he honestly didn't know and believed me when I said there's no way they were previously live because he didn't know who cooked them or how they were prepared. That alone says a lot. Yes, they removed the crawfish from the bill after I spoke up, but we still paid $196 (and I still tipped) for food that was clearly freezer-based and rushed through a fryer. Nothing about this experience felt Cajun or worth the money. If we had been told the truth from the start, we would have never come. Would not recommend.

Atmosphere This cozy little spot successfully channels the…read morespirit of New Orleans with its green, gold, and purple Mardi Gras accents, Saints memorabilia, and overall festive yet laid-back vibe. The music hits the right notes--lively enough to enjoy while dining without overpowering conversation. It's clear the owners have a genuine affection for NOLA, and that passion shows. A recent perfect health inspection score (100% A grade) inspires confidence in the kitchen. That said, the front-of-house execution needs tightening. Multiple dirty tables upon arrival created an off-putting first impression. With only one waitress on duty, she was clearly stretched thin--rushing between tables and side work. Service was brisk and to-the-point, bordering on curt. As obvious first-timers, we received minimal menu guidance (unlike the couple seated beside us), though she did provide a clear, helpful explanation of the differences between the étouffée and Cajun cream sauce when asked. A menu with photos and more descriptive copy would go a long way toward helping guests navigate the offerings. Drinks The mimosa flight delivered a respectable pour with noticeable champagne character, but the mixers leaned heavily on bottled Arizona-style juices rather than fresh muddled fruit, squeezed orange juice, or quality nectar. A bit more care in the fruit and juice department would elevate the presentation and flavor significantly. Still, the serving size was generous for the price. The water, at least, arrived crisp and clean. Appetizers The fried mushrooms were solidly executed--crisp, hot, and properly cooked, if a touch basic. They lacked the nuance of a true handmade batter but satisfied with a classic ranch accompaniment (though we could have used far more than the meager portion provided). The hush puppies, however, were a standout: delicate orbs of sweet corn-studded dough with excellent flavor and a pleasingly light texture. Just a few extra seconds in the fryer would have banished the slight undercooked centers and pushed them into excellence. These are worth ordering again. Mains The boudin arrived atop a fluffy (if slightly al dente) bed of plainly cooked rice that could have benefited from stock or seasoning. Two generous links offered the classic creamy interior and satisfying snap of casing, with traditional seasoning and pleasing moisture. No bells, whistles, or cheese-stuffed excesses--just honest boudin. For the price, an extra link would have felt more generous. The shrimp po'boy, l served alongside Cajun fries, dressed with the house étouffée sauce and was the star of the meal. Those fries unfortunately arrived cold and soggy, but the étouffée itself shone--rich, deeply flavored, and packed with visible seafood essence. The shrimp were beautifully fried: light, crispy, perfectly seasoned, and undeniably the highlight. A touch more shrimp would have been welcome, but the quality and balance of flavors made this a memorable sandwich. Dessert The beignets--three to an order--arrived piping hot and freshly made, dusted generously with powdered sugar. The dough itself was dense yet well-executed, delivering that satisfying chew. While they capture the spirit of the French Quarter classic, they felt a bit pricey compared to the legendary originals at Café du Monde. Still, they closed the meal on a comforting, sugar-dusted high note. Verdict This restaurant offers an earnest and often successful taste of New Orleans in a welcoming neighborhood setting. There are clear areas for improvement--service consistency, menu clarity, and a few execution details--but the kitchen shows real promise, especially with the shrimp and étouffée. I'd happily return to explore more of their NOLA-inspired menu. A solid effort worth supporting.

Despite groups of servers busing tables (4 servers and a hostess bussing a 2-top in front of us) and constantly walking by it was over 15 min before a server approached us. You must ask for condiments to dress your own burgers. Pickles, lettuce and onions are on the side. Bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. The pimento cheese was plentiful. The hamburger steak was a slice of meatloaf with onions and gravy, "nothing special". After receiving our food we did not see our waiter again (refills, condiments, etc) until we asked for out check.
