I absolutely loved it. The food doesn't get cold right after you begin eating! Most places I've been when you order certain types of foods it'll get cold right after your first bite. This little restautant is in a very old hotel on the corner of a busy intersection of town. The town itself is small and not very busy, so finding parking is no problem. The staff is very friendly, they all wear masks, and they have a server and a bus person. The bus person cleans the tables and the chairs. You can dine inside or out, service is fast either way. We had the blackened grouper, fried oysters, and cajun popcorn. All was excellent and not greasy. Very good portions for lunch. Stopped by for lunch and I have to say I'm disappointed. The fried pickles were forgettable. The menu was really lacking. They literally have one salad option that you pick your protein, over priced soup, and a bunch of the exact same basic sandwiches with different proteins swapped out. The "Po Boy" type sandwiches literally come with lettuce and mayo, that's it. I asked for onion and picked and was up charged .50 cents each and I got three pickles on an 8 inch sandwich. No seasoning, no sauce just bread, mayo, protein, lettuce for 10$. The "Cajun" fries where soggy, mealy and had a sad pinch of Cajun seasoning just pinched on the top center. Service was decent but had to keep asking for things like ketchup and ranch (they gave an abismal portion with the fries pickles). Had to flag down another server just to pay the tab. Walked out spending over 30$ alone just for two sad sandwiches, soggy fries and below par fried pickles. I love trying local places, and always want to pick somewhere new over a chain restaurant but I found myself wishing we would have just waited and went to Texas Road House instead. read more

The food is good -- we had the Cajun Sampler (fried pickles, eggplant, and crawfish) and the Jazzy Soup Combo (etouffe, red beans, gumbo). Not brilliant, but quite good. The service was great. This place is always busy so thought we'd try it. First, bring a jacket - its very cold inside. Greeted right away and got our drink order and food order in pretty quickly. All good until food was delivered and then we didn't see the waitress again. Many servers around, no one watching for overall customer service with drinks etc. The food we had was good and the bread that comes with the meal was really good too. Would return for another try, but the owner should have some expectations raised for customer service. Cute place with plenty of food options. I ordered the Northern Shore pasta and while it tasted yummy, it was in an unnecessary amount of sauce which was mainly heavy cream and not much flavor. It was sprinkled with a layer of cheese. It came out of the kitchen so quickly that I questioned how fresh it was. On a recent trip to Eufaula, no where came more highly recommended by friends than this place! So my wife and I tried it on a somewhat quiet Thursday night and were very pleased. We got the Cajun cheese sticks for an appetizer and they rocked. They were lovely and crummy but tasty too. Some of the best! My wife got the Cajun sampler and it was a fried new creole delight! Pickles, crawdads and eggplants!!! Mmmmm! I got the steak and mushroom pasta and was equally impressed. The steak was perfectly cooked and dropping with flavor! The po' boy was tasty but felt a bit like nothing more than a hoagie...did I miss something? The fried green tomatoes were very tasty but heavily fried and breaded...must be true Southern food! We were in town for the pumpkin patch. It took about 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order. It was a little slammed but not bad enough for that. The pasta was disgusting. We all took 2 bites and couldn't finish. I tipped my bowl and butter/oil spilled out. NO seasoning at all either. All the girls were super sweet though, food being gross is not their fault at all. Needed more ranch dressing for dipping and had to get up and find waitress to get it. Gumbo was nothing but 90% rice and a couple baby shrimp. Took forever for waitress to come back so I went inside looking for her. Gave her the gumbo and said if I wanted a bowl of rice I would have gone to a Chinese place. Had to wait for quite a while for the bill to arrive. Then she never came back to collect. So again I had to get up and find her so I could pay and leave. Another customer saw me looking around and said " good luck"! Finally found her and paid and got out. No manager ever came by to apologize for food or service. Do not recommend. read more

We dined here on 4/1/2023 at 5 pm. It was nice to eat at a little table outside on the sidewalk. My husband said his salmon was delicious. My hamburger was way overcooked. The twice-baked potatoes are actually more like sliced pieces and au gratin potatoes with lots of cheese. The flavor was good, but could have used a bit more seasoning. Unfortunately, both the hostess and our server seemed very stressed, and our waitress forgot an item that we ordered. A server from a different table (who seemed a little bit out of it) brought things to our table twice that we had not ordered... They belonged to the other table. We wanted to eat "local" while enjoying the Pilgrimage. This restaurant was a pure delight. My husband ordered the onion rings for the appetizer. Excellent! Then he had the fried grouper, French fries, and a salad. He loved it. I enjoyed my grouper grilled with sweet potato fries.
