I rented a 5' x 8' enclosed trailer from the cap stop in North Canton, OH. After picking the trailer up, I noticed it was towing very rough. I pulled over to inspect it further and saw a completely worn tire with a ridge in it. I immediately called them back and asked for a new tire. I was told I needed to go through their roadside assistance team to get a replacement. After numerous phone calls a service provider came out but didn't have the correct replacement tire even after I sent him a picture and the specs of the tire. I waited another 2 hours for a different provider to come and change the defective tire. The roadside provider advised me not to rent from the smaller uhaul companies like this as they don't routinely perform proper inspections of their equipment. My trip was delayed for over three hours and even more concerning, my family and myself were put at risk. Upon returning the trailer, I asked if the rentals were inspected before they were rented out. I was initially told yes, but after requesting the documentation, I was told there was none and the only inspection is a kick of the tires to make sure they have air in them. The guy I rented it from, Larry D., also refused to refund any of the rental or give me the contact information for his supervisor or the corporate office. read more

Replaced my Roll-N-Loc cover and neglected to reinstall my cargo restraint system. Called the owner Jeff and emailed him numerous times. Jeff stated he could not send my restraint system even after I offered to pay for shipping. Had to spend half a day and a half tank of gas to retrieve Jeff then had the audacity to say he was sorry I had to drive all the way there again !! Installation of new cover is a 4 Completeness of installation is a 2.5 Customer Service is a 1 My advice is to find a different retailer and installer read more

Great Shop. Had a fold-up cover installed on my pick-up truck last July. Had an issue with one of the hold open clips while we were down South for the winter. Had to cut off one of the clips - my fault. Took it back to the shop to get a replacement. They took the time to retrofit and replace the clip at no charge. That's what I call customer service at it's best. read more

Excellent customer service and good product installation. Jeff and Terry recommended another in stock model to us, which saved us a lot of money. On top of that, they stayed late on a weekend to install and make sure we were all set with our new cap. Older store front, but good prices and competent staff--beats a fancy store any day. read more

I purchased a Leer tonneau cover for my truck, from The Cap Stop, which they installed. Unfortunately, I broke the key that locks it. I ordered a new key from The Cap Stop, using the imprinted code on the key. They had to order the key, which I prepaid. They failed to call, as promised, when it arrived. I had to go there to find out. It had arrived several days earlier. The key did not fit in the lock. They ordered another key from Leer. When it arrived, it also did not function. I was told that there was nothing more that they could do for me. They returned my money for the key. What good is the product if it can't be locked? They should have got me a key that fit their lock, or installed a new lock with keys, for free, in my opinion. Customer service is poor, and if you can't get a new key that functions, the Leer product is worthless. I did try a locksmith, and they can't acquire the proper blanks, to cut a new key. I contacted Leer, and they would not help me either. I am very disappointed. I do not recommend The Cap Stop in North Canton., or Leer products. read more
