The staff is friendly and very hands-on. My son is now at a different school and is advanced for his grade thanks to Alpha Montessori. I'd recommend this school to anyone.

My son attended this school for about 6 months before I decided to take him out of the school. The…read moreeducators are all female and are wonderful. The school's director, Victoria was great to us and always looked out for my child and others. The kids were disciplined accordingly and taught how to deal with their big feelings. But even though the ladies took good care of the children, the facility needs a serious upgrade. The toddler rooms were kept as clean as they could be kept but there are many things that needed to be updated. The bathrooms for the children for one are horrendous! It always smelled like urine and the lighting was always so dim and the toilets were nasty. The carpets in the some of the rooms needs replacing and there is one room closed off near where the kids had lunch that smelled moldy and you can see the mold on the walls. Also, there were dead roaches in there. I never saw the staff or a cleaning crew clean the toys after closing. There are livestream cameras but it's so outdated you really can't see anything. The video lags and it's pixelated and there's no sound. The curriculum was pretty consistent and standard for the kids but there was nothing really exciting for them to do. The older toddler kids, the teacher would spread dirty mats on the floor and put the kids on the mats with different toys to play individually. I asked one of the staff members if the rugs were washed weekly and was told that they were never washed ever. So that's gross! Some of the electrical outlets were broken and exposed to the children. The toys they play with are very outdated and dirty. You can literally see the layer of dust on all the books on the book case and the inflatable planets hanging from the ceiling. The staff looks overworked though and I've seen many times that it can be too much for them handling so many kids. So I think more educators can alleviate that issue and I think they were working on that. The playground is decent and the lunch area is okay too. Overall the school is okay but because the school needs so many upgrades I really would not recommend it.

We chose St. Paul's because we wanted a school that was small enough that it offered a family environment school where everyone would know our children, but large enough to offer a variety of extracurricular's. My 4th grader and 2nd grader have 12 kids in their class (24 total for the grade). Both have participated in a strong Robotics program, soccer, chess, and minecraft/programming courses. All three children have quickly made friends at the school, which was important for our transition. One story that illustrates the culture of the school. I had to drop something at the office one day, and as I was leaving one of the cafeteria workers stopped me. She knew which children I was the father of, and wanted to let me know that all of my kids seemed to be settling in nicely. She noted that my middle child was a picky eater, but that they had figured out how he liked his food and that he started to eat with no problems. When we were making a big transition, you really appreciate things like this.

I would encourage families to carefully consider their options before enrolling. There are many excellent schools in the New Orleans area. I genuinely wish someone had shared this perspective with our family beforehand.

I found that parents who recommended it and were satisfied were the ones who sent their kids part-time. This place is definitely not set up for full-time care. After naptime - they just let the kids run around the playground and watch Disney movies - no learning happening after 12pm - my child was so miserably bored we had to make a change.

Unfortunately they only had a spot in the "young 4 year olds", but they promised to make adjustments to accommodate him ( he turned 5 in March ). Summer is approaching, and with both of us being hard-working parents we need full day care. We signed him up for the LRSH summer program and paid our fees, but yesterday they sent us back our cheque stating that they could not deal with our son any longer. No warnings or discussion with us - they simply dropped us out. Now we have to find an alternative for the summer. Long story short: LRSH is ok if you desperately need a place to put your child. However, they are not equipped to teach children or deal with issues that a real school would have certified teachers for. This is a glorified nursing home, and there is no excuse for the way in which they expelled our son without any form of due process

I highly advise against entrusting your child to Classy Kids, LLC. The name is misleading because…read morethis daycare and its owner/staff are far from "classy." The owner, Juerica, is extremely unprofessional. Her character and conduct are highly questionable. She over-promises and under-delivers to prospective parents. One of her selling points is the presence of accessible cameras for parents to monitor their kids. However, the cameras were never installed during the three weeks my son was enrolled. When asked about the cameras, she would come up with excuses like HIPAA, which doesn't even apply in this setting. It seems like she tries to sound knowledgeable by using certain buzzwords. Ms. Juerica also promised and allegedly registered for an app to communicate with parents about their child's day, but that never materialized. She never provided any documents on my son's formula intake, bowel movements, sleeping patterns, or disposition. Often, she wouldn't share this information at the end of the day. At one point, she even displayed an attitude because I refused to disclose a private conversation with another parent. It was unprofessional for her to inquire about our conversation. I decided to remove my son from the daycare at the end of August after that incident. In addition to her unfulfilled promises, she lacks an understanding of personal and professional boundaries. She found it acceptable to discuss other children and families with me. Her mother, who also works at the daycare, displays the same lack of professionalism. They had issues with another family and misrepresented the number of enrolled children to me. It turned out that it was only my son and one other child at the beginning, despite Ms. Juerica's claims of limited spots. The final incident that led to my immediate withdrawal of my son was when her mother made a derogatory comment about another child's parent, who is South Asian. This display of prejudice and lack of emotional intelligence was unacceptable to me as a parent. When I confronted Ms. Juerica about her unprofessional conduct, she did not respond or offer an apology. Additionally, she has not refunded me for the rest of August's tuition or for logo embroidery of onesies that were never done, nor has she allowed me to pick up my son's belongings. It's disheartening because as a parent, you trust caregivers like Ms. Juerica to not only care for your child but also to act professionally and with decency. I hope this review helps other parents avoid the stress I experienced in finding quality childcare.

Management at KCK decided to keep him back in pre-K 2 at 3 and 4 years old because he wasn't potty trained. This greatly affected his development as he was in a classroom with children much younger than him every day. Management made us feel like he was unwanted and a nuisance because of his special needs. I also learned that they had never even looked at his IEP. They also say that they have an app where teachers communicate with parents every day. They have it, but they do not use it except for announcements. We have him in a new school where he is in a classroom with children his age and he is doing so much better. It's a world of a difference in how he is being treated due to his special needs. I do not recommend this school if your child has special needs. Towards the end of our time there, about 3 times I saw large roaches on the floors in the hallways. They would sit there for sometimes 2 days or the whole weekend. There are toddlers everywhere who put all kids of things in their mouths and I know that if I saw them, the staff and teachers had to see them!
