I have been a customer here for a few years. The service in this shop is exceptional. From the…read moreperson at the front, to the sales staff, to the purchasing experience. The same is also true for service (if you need it). I have never been pressured here, but always welcomed. In the past three years, I have visited countless times. I only purchase when I feel time is right, and in those three years I've purchased only three times. And yet every time they greet me with a smile! That's the way to build a business relationship. And when things go wrong? I was recently given the wrong box for a watch I purchased at closing time. (I got the watch all right, just the wrong box.) It was resolved before opening the next day. Perfect! Everyone in the store is wonderfully helpful. I usually deal with John F and John P while looking at watches, and every time it's like visiting old friends. Why go anywhere else?

So I won't go into detail again due to yelp threatening to remove my account, but I will never shop there again due to that rude staff member and I recommend no one else does. I ended up going to watches of Switzerland down the road and they were extremely pleasant to deal with.

Ted's Pawn recently moved to a much larger location on Montgomery Avenue that is much more…read moreconvenient, as well. The character of old Ted's still holds. Many employees available to assist, wide variety of products and generally small discounts. The larger, brighter facility is much more inviting and comfortable to browse. I did notice that it appears that electronics which need a bit quicker churn seem to be priced more aggressively. The new location can hold quite a bit more product and the sheer amount of jewelry is impressive. Ted's now has a few antique type items and is also a pretty good resource for used tools. As similar to before, the pricing is not very exciting from a buyer perspective, but for prospective pawners, Ted's might be one of the best solutions in the city. A significant amount of space in the back is dedicated to evaluting products and processing pawns and payments. They accept a pretty impressive amount of merchandise and now have a terrific new facility to store it in.
