The Inn is "too busy" furniture wise. Rooms were small.

Nicely restored, the decor is a mixture of fun, quirky and historic. The menu is widely varied, with old favorites like Bangers and Mash, Fish and chips, and more modern fare like burgers. Bangers and Mash is the star of the show here. The sausage has a wonderfully savory taste, and the onion gravy is absolutely fantastic. Burger are great. The meat is tasty, and there is a twist or two on their burgers. I'm a bit picky about my burgers, and I'm happy with theirs. Fish and Chips weren't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but nothing made them stand out to me, either. A solid, if not stellar meal. On our last visit, they had Cranberry Cobbler. I'd never heard of it, but it was fantastic. If it's on the menu during your visit, don't miss it. Service has always been fine. A solid spot in Metamora.

He completely snubbed both my wife and myself. I don't have to deal with an individual like this and I won't. There are lots of other things you can do in Metamora such as Mr fudge's shop. Stop by and see Donna and buy some candy she is a jewel. She should be running that town and not characters like the other guy. We really love Metamora despite people like this guy. I sincerely hope that the other shopkeepers finally realize what he is doing to this location. I remember the good old days of Metamora back in the early 2000s. If you want to go someplace for some good food try the Laurel hotel in Laurel Indiana it is only about 6 mi away. Great food and people that appreciate you stopping by.

As a guest, how am I to be comfortable in their establishment. I made a reservation there before the Delta variant was rampant in their area. I am a cancer patient and immunosuppressed. My doctor recommended I do not go. Jim and Jennifer refused to refund my deposit. Our crafting group has been meeting there biannually for 16 years and we have NEVER cancelled booking. Despite that, Jim and Jennifer have a strict cancellation policy. Gone are the days when one or two members of our group could reserve a booking at $20 apiece. Now it's $60 and everybody in the group has to pay in advance. Our group used to feel special when Jim and Leacarol ran the inn. Now it's just business. Frosty business. The rates have skyrocketed and guests are no longer welcome to stay later in the afternoon on Sunday. Also, the breakfasts are uninspired. If you can find another place to stay, do so. Apparently they are booked into 2022 anyway and don't appreciate their loyal patrons.

The inn keeper, the food and the rooms are all excellent. I'm a city girl, and I was wary of going to an unfamiliar and very rural area, but as soon as I stepped foot into the bed & breakfast, I felt immediately at home. The first night I got there, it was pouring rain and I couldn't see well. I parked in front of the house and Tari kindly told me I could leave the car there until the morning and she showed me around and made me feel immediately at ease. Tari and Scott actually live off of a little road towards the back of the house, but they are within walking distance of the house and always accessible by phone if you need anything. The house is absolutely stunning and comforting, and it has all the amenities you could possibly need. Tari and Scott take great care of the house. It was always in immaculate condition. The furniture and fixtures are beautiful, and there is a fully stocked kitchen (you can take any of the food for the day free of charge--granola bars, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cheese, baked banana bread, bagels, tea, coffee, juice, soda, bottled water, wine, and more!). I practically ate an entire banana bread loaf that Tari baked during my stay because it was so delicious, and of course Tari and Scott will serve you a yummy breakfast every morning upon request. I had some of the best night's sleep in the room I stayed in too. Each room has its own thermostat and there was a comfy down blanket that I slept with every night for the three nights I was there. My drive to Miami U. each morning was less than 5 minutes, and every time I left the conference, I was excited to go back to the house! Tari and Scott are very kind and personable. They truly care about their guests' comfort and happiness. I highly recommend staying here over a hotel. The rates are comparable, and you get so much more from staying here. If I ever find myself in Oxford again, I will for sure stay here again.
