Trendy spot by West Campus that is coffee shop by day and eatery/bar by night. The moment you step in (in the AM), the smell of incense is strong. Pretty standard coffees and lattes but was happy to see sufficient indoor and outdoor seating.

This new coffee shop/bar in West Campus is a really nice spot to chill with friends. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I tried to study here, but the blaring jungle music was too much for me. It put me on edge. The chai latte was good. The carajillo was a tasty coffee cocktail, although very overpriced at $10 as it was served in a small glass filled with ice. If you're looking for good vibes and decor with friends near campus (other than the unsettling jungle music), The Cauldron is a nice place to hang.

cauldron coffee has finally opened up ive been eyeing it for months lol! im always passing it when im omw to class. they're a coffee shop during the day and a bar by night! the mexican mocha was rich and chocolatey and was a nice warm drink in cold weather. the barista also recommended the toasted marshmallow mocha! it's def on the sweeter side but it was also rich and creamy! my fav thing ab this cafe was the outdoor seating area! there were plenty of tables and seats available and there were also a couple of outlets on the wall! in the morning it's a quiet place to get hangout and get work done and at night it's a lively social spot! what we got: - mexican mocha - toasted marshmallow mocha latte ig: @whatsviveating

So this is a relatively new coffee place, having opened about a month or so ago. It's located at 24th and Saint Gabriel, which is the old Freedman's Barbecue historic building. They've converted the inside into a modern space, and they've made a very nice courtyard for sitting and enjoying your drinks. I went by and had a cold brew this morning, and it was one of the better ones I've had in awhile. They had a few granola bar type snacks, along with instant oatmeal. They said they had tacos coming later in the morning. The two baristas were very friendly. While this is a coffee shop by day, at night they serve cocktails. There's no parking other than paid street parking. A solid coffee choice if you're in the West campus area.

Ever since I heard about @cauldroncoffeeatx opening I had been counting down the days to visit. It is beautiful! The aesthetic both inside and out was beautifully designed. There are a few work spaces both up and downstairs as well as a covered lounge/workspace area outdoors. I opted for an opted iced gingerbread latte and savored every last drop.

I love Cauldron! Their drinks are absolutely delicious, and their decor is beautiful! I feel like I'm on another world when I'm there, and the service is always friendly. When I first tried their coffee, their staff was amazing at providing me recommendations and answering any questions I had. Make sure to stop by for great coffee, drinks, and vibes!

Super stoked this coffee shop finally opened! My friends and I discovered this spot recently and knew it was a keeper when we found out they served coffee AND espresso martinis. The interior design is a plus as it makes the perfect Insta content. **chefs kiss**

We weren't looking for much by way of menu just a few snacks or small bites for Girl Dinner. We found just that here. The Sumac and pepper popcorn was to die for! I really don't drink that much or often, but decided to have one. The drink list is extensive, but very organized by era. I decided to go for the Zombie. My server, Noah encouraged my audacity! I can't remember whether it was described as dramatic as it showed up, but let me tell you there was drama! It was served in a flaming skull, garnished with beautiful flowers and fresh fruit, and filled to the brim with God knows how much alcohol and juice, but it was a time! To heighten the experience, he sprinkled something in a shaker and the flames just erupted! The whole restaurant stopped and I cackled! To put out the flame, Noah gave one dramatic clap, and the flame disappear disappeared! I want to thank Noah and the team for encouraging my ridiculousness and delivering me an excellent craft drink with all the drama I deserved and could ever ask for! 10/10! Gotta go back to see how much more ridiculous I can go! Can't stop now! Join me!

They had no issues when taking our second round order while we were seated, but we were asked to leave the table immediately after. This round also took forever and we drank it standing, crowded, in everyone's way. I was embarrassed as it was my birthday, and I was taking a group of 7 other people - new to Austin - here to check out what was one of my favorite spots. I was bragging about it and chose it over other spots on their list. They hated it. I'm disappointed. Our server was great to us and apologetic about the service bar.

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
