Lacking in customer skills. My Mexican-American friend went to get passport photo there. Clerk never asked for which country the passport is for. Took wrong size photo and when asked said he wasn't aware their is a different size picture required per country. Instead of re-shooting or giving a refund stated " it was up to my friend to tell him which country it is for." The owner had same excuse when asked. Apparently they are unaware of the diversity of No California and assumed all passports are American only. 1) their ignorance of different size requirements is remarkable since they have been in business for more than a week 2) their inability to resolve such a small problem speaks volumes as to their philosophy when it comes to treating customers. read more

I use the Central Office for my business mailing address and couldn't recommend them higher. Convenient location, friendly people, and a fantastic system in place. Shipping, copies and notary, too! Sure beats going to the post office. read more

I had a horrible experience and do not recommend doing business with The Central Office. I paid over $100 for The Central Office to pack and ship my computer for a move. I used Fedex ground and paid extra for $2500 worth of "insurance" (which I later found out wasn't really insurance) as per The Central Office's advice. My computer arrived smashed to pieces. The packing job was horrible (they used foam peanuts for a computer!). I won't go into details, but my battle to get a refund lasted over 2 months and included over a dozen phone calls with The Central Office, Fedex, and a lawyer (yes I had a to hire a lawyer). I finally got a refund but for less than the value of the computer. All this after The Central Office convinced me to pay extra for what I thought was insurance. read more

I've been a customer of The Central Office for over 10 years. (It's hard to believe it's been that long!) I have a business where I am rarely able to answer my own phone and I use them exclusively for answering services. They answer my incoming calls professionally and most of my clients think I have an office with a staff until I tell them. When I do they can't believe it! They pay for their entire year's worth of fees in one month, and I am confident I catch so many more calls than would leave a message. I hope they stay in business forever! read more

Getting my mail, shipping packages, buying stamps and sending faxes has never been easier...that along with a really nice staff and newly remodeled building make it a "office away from office" dream come true! I'm back with complaint again (Dec. 16, I think) about how Central Office has abandoned me and keeps calling me a liar about why a $512 DHL International Express shipment was held up by DHL in Austria and eventually Austrian Customs. Conversations with DHL in Vienna and even a Customs representative said the original waybill/order was filled out so that it looked as though I was an online seller and the contents were part of an online order. And they required proof from my daughter in Austria of "online order payment," "receipt for goods," and on and on. The "document" from Central Office has a small line indicating "Gifts," as I specified. HOWEVER, the top of the form ( the copy I saw from Vienna DHL) said "COMMERCIAL." THAT SPAWNED THE ISSUE! I feel confident that I filled out the custom forms at Central Office on Dec. 9 just fine because it is the way I have described and priced contents for more than 5 years of mailing packages to France, Austria AND Australia through UPS and USPS (save for pauses during the pandemic). AND NOTHING ever came back or was held. AND NOTHING was ever said to me at Central Office with a "warning," etc. AND from my first contact with Central Office, instead of saying, "Let's see how we can help or get you to the right DHL service rep," there was defensiveness. And "Not our problem." So now . . the packages have been mailed returned to me from DHL. The packages are wrapped in DHL tape with indecipherable notations. I'll start the quest to find a pleasant rep at DHL and in ALL fairness, I believe that the "third party" -- that would be CENTRAL OFFICE -- should be my advocate as a DHL rep said to me. How much would it hurt to say "whoops," or something like that or even to call out DHL? I am going to keep at this. I would think Central Office would, too. Or else: every DHL shipment needs to be accompanied by a caveat. I feel so taken. read more

Life savers and money savers: Lester and the crew were fantastic to work with. We had a big job to scan thousands of documents and only the weekend to get it done. I first went to all the usual suspects and had neither the cost nor confidence. Then I dropped by Central Office. The cost was 10% what Kinkos would charge and it was done Monday morning!!! Faster, cheaper and good to work with! I can't say enough about my experience with the Central Office. read more

I had my passport photo taken here and just received a notice from US State Dept that they are rejecting the photo because the background is not white. I looked at the extra photo that the central office gave me and indeed, the background appears to be a light gray. Now I have to get another photo taken and hope that I get my passport in time for a trip coming up. read more

On August 27, my package from USPS tracked straight to The Central Office where I had a p.o. box. The Central Office claims they did not receive it, and have no idea where it is. The USPS truck had just left the place, USPS agent contacted the driver who confirmed that indeed it was delivered. It was an expensive item and as of today, 9/14/2020, no package. I had to file a stolen property police report for insurance purposes. I also tracked down a driver a few days later that had just left the place and he informed me that I am not the first in the last year to have this experience. Save yourself grief, if you insist on using this place to receive valuable packages, have it delivered with signature confirmation and that way you will know for absolute sure who the last person is to handle your package. The owner would not take any responsibility for the lost package and had a very bad attitude, no integrity what so ever. read more

Before driving 30 minutes there I looked up their website. It said they do direct mail services including designing the mail piece. I then called and told the woman who answered that I wanted to come in for those services and whether I should ask for a particular person. Nope she said, we all do it. Drove there, waited in line longer than needed so I could be helped by the man at the left window because the woman at the right window was wearing her mask halfway over her nose. Also, for every person she helped while I waited she had to go ask the man at the left window how to do it, interrupting him with his customers. Finally I talked to the man and said I was interested in direct mail services. "oh we don't do that ". Here's a copy of your website saying you do. Him: Sorry. Me: Okay, can you help me with design, do you have a template? Him: We don't design, we just print. Again, here's your website. Him: Sorry. By the end, I realized that woman in right window was who answered the phone and clearly just acts like she knows stuff when she knows she clearly doesn't. No excuse for their website to say what is clearly not true. If you still want to go there based on their website, call first to confirm they do what you want and if a woman answers, ask to talk to someone else there. Good luck. read more

Worst service ever! Paid to have them notarized my documents, did that fine, supposed to fed ex my pack same day service.,... Tracked pack, oh never got sent, instead of calling fed ex for another pick up, they let it sit overnite, now delaying my closing!! Not very professional. After paying $80.00 for their service !!! I would go to this place over kinkos anyday! the prices are right for copies. They have one computer to print of what you need. You can even have incoming mail there by purchasing a p.o box as well! Its a family owned business and I think I recognize the owner I went to school with him in grade school! They notarized a few letters I had as well for a great price! read more

I've been going here for 10+ years & have been happy with the service, but whoever the owner is (maybe it's changed?) has ended my patronage. First of all, he made eye contact with me several times without actually acknowledging my presence. Finally I asked him if he was the owner & could he help me. He actually sighed (why didn't I walk out!). He was snarky, impatient & rude with ME because HE didn't know how to use the computers & equipment he owns, required to accomplish the task of shipping. read more

I have to plug this place. I used to have a PO box at the Montgomery Village Post Office. The staff there was UNBELIEVABLY incompetent. I got my bill for the PO box and left the check as instructed, they locked my box and said I didn't pay. I wrote a second check and they still say they didn't get it. I came in on my brief lunch break and tried to clear it up, they said the PO box person wasn't there but could I come back in an hour? No, I have a job. I paid AGAIN (third time) with a credit card and they said they would unlock it. If the check showed up, they would leave it in my box for me. I come in a week later(after hours) to check my mail, still locked! I have to make another lunch time trip to have him unlock it. Still haven't found my first check, but they returned my second check. When my time ran out, I shut down that box and got one here at Central Office. They are open until 6 p.m. weeknights and on Saturday mornings. They may cost more than the post office, but the service is friendly, they get it right ever time, mail packages, keep my PO box, and have wrapping material, boxes, etc. It is well worth the extra money. If I can help it, I will never again go to the post office! read more

Wow! Really bad at placing the mail in the box. I wrote a letter to complain and they took revenge and kept my mail in a bag. When I called to explain that was not my intention, she was obviously very angry that I had complained. I tried to talk her down, but no, she was insulted and that was it. Can't take criticism very well. I said, "It seems your customer service is not very good. She said, "It's not." Sheesh! I guess I will be discontinuing my box there even though I've been a customer there for years. read more

I have been a highly satisfied customer of the Central Office, I havefound the staff courteous, knowledgeable and always going the extra mile to fulfill and at times exceed my expectations. If you want to insure important packages are signed for during busness hours you will want to utilize their services. The only drawback is that the previous manager Pilar is no longer there, she was so hot to look at it made it worthwhile to pick up my mail during business hours. read more

Central Office is an excellent service. Always cheerful and efficient staff willing to assist me. I especially appreciated their assistance with printing color copies using their desktop computer loaded with my favorite desktop publishing program. This place is much better than Kinkos for most of my printing needs. Been using them for a couple of years now and I'd say there area many small businesses that could take some customer service lessons from the Central Office. read more
