Conveniently located directly across St. Pete Beach, Playa Bowls is my new favorite açaí spot in…read morethe Tampa Bay. I got the Pura Vida bowl- it was an açaí base with blueberries, strawberries, granola and honey. The açaí was sweet and tangy, the fruit was fresh and the honey and granola complimented the bowl well. I got mine to-go and took it to the beach, it traveled well and I got a complimentary ice pack to take with me. It's a very laid back, casual spot- great vibes. Alexis was extremely helpful and made the experience easy-breezy! Super nice, patient and kind!

Something I love about Playa Bowls are the variety of bowls you can get. It's not just a basic açaí…read morebowl place/ you can get a coconut base, pitaya, mango, nutella and so much more or even mix bases. And we ain't even talked about toppings yet. It can almost be a little overwhelming at first looking at their menu because of the sheer amounts of options between topping mixes and bases. They also always have fresh fruit sitting on the counters that they use in the bowls. Something about seeing that just makes it even a little bit better. I have also enjoyed the smoothies & coffee I have tried here. The coffee is definitely sweet but it can hit the spot if you're in the mood. This particular location does not have any indoor seating. It's definitely a stop and grab and go place, unless you want to brave the heat and sit outside, depending on the time of year. It's also literally minutes from the beach, so getting a fresh bowl of fruit/ açaí after a nice beach day is literally perfect.

5-Star Review - My New Happy Place in North Redington Beach!…read more I'm always on the hunt for great local spots after a showing, and this time Yelp & Maps delivered a winner. After a successful client appointment, I was starving and searched for nearby restaurants -- "My Happy Place" popped up with a well-deserved-4.7 stars. I'm so glad it did! On a beautiful sunny (but surprisingly chilly) day, I rolled up to a cool tiki-bar vibe right on Gulf Blvd. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, with outdoor seating warmed by heaters so you stay comfortable even on cooler days. I was immediately greeted by a super friendly gentleman (I believe one of the co-owners and the chef), who took the time to answer all my menu questions with genuine enthusiasm. He didn't hesitate when I asked for his top recommendation: the Blackened Grouper Sandwich ($17.98). He told me they source the grouper fresh every day from a local fishmonger, and it showed. I ordered it on a toasted brioche bun with tomato, lettuce, and their house-made remoulade sauce. It was fantastic-- flaky, perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and one of the best grouper sandwiches I've had in the area. All sandwiches come with kettle chips, and you can upgrade to potato salad or coleslaw for just $2. The menu has so many tempting options I can't wait to try next time: the California Chicken Wrap, thank Classic Patty Melt, Bahama Mama smoked sausage, and plenty of cold deli sandwiches like the Turkey Club and Tuna Salad on croissant. There's also a full "Cool Stuff" section with smoked fish spread and chopped salads if you're in the mood for something lighter. I already know I'll be back soon -- next time I plan to stay longer, enjoy the vibe, and pair my grouper with one of their cocktails. If you're in the North Redington Beach / Redington Beach area and looking for a fantastic lunch spot with fresh seafood, friendly service, and a relaxed beachy atmosphere, My Happy Place is a great place to visit. I'll be returning -- and recommending it to my clients!

I loved all the signs and decor they had! Lots to look at. If I lived there I would definitely go back, but I was only staying in an Airbnb for one night.
