I got the steak frites. Was good!! Lots of steak and not badly priced. Ate outside and it was a nice ambiance. Service was fast.
What a wonderful find!! I took my mom to a Rays game for Mother's Day & we decided to grab some lunch first. After a quick search on Yelp, we landed on The Library. Everything about this restaurant was 5 stars. The service, the seating, the food, the ambiance. Everything! Highly recommend if you're in the area. :)
My friends took me to lunch at the Library today. Last week I ate in Tampa at the Oxford Exchange in Tampa. Today I discovered the Library is its sister restaurant. The atmosphere in the Library was nice & calming, very much like a bright & airy library. I ordered the Mahi Fish tacos. The tacos arrived & were quite delicious. The fish was perfectly seasoned with a really pleasing blackened fish rub. Tons of great flavor, plus the feta-cabbage slaw on top. The accompanying fries were average. But again the tacos were excellent.
Great experience with a twist! Food 8.0 Vibe 8.9 Service 8.7 Overall 8.4 This place definitely has his own theme and vibe and it sticks to it. A straightforward menu gives a decent variety and the chef delivered on the flavor. We had the egg Benedict the Gudda grits, and the (not so) French toast. Overall, the food was delicious, but I was extremely disappointed with the "French toast" for some reason, the chef opted for not doing an egg/milk bath for their French toast, which to me is a grave mistake, who wants to dry French toast? This liberty could be excused, and tolerable for the sake of creativity and innovation, IF it was openly, shared on the menu, or by the server. However, this came to a COMPLETE surprise to me AFTER ordering and receiving it. I've never had DRY French toast, nor do I ever wish to again despite the tasty toppings and well executed cinnamon butter cream, it was still not an enjoyable experience, especially if you're expecting classic French toast. That said the eggs Benedict was phenomenal. The pork is perfectly cooked. The biscuits are light and fluffy. And the sauce was immaculate. The Gudda grits surprise me while not being creamy in the same way of grit, I've had in the past, these retained their grit structure, but it kind of melted in your mouth, providing that creamy texture and they add chopped bacon and a sweet I would guess type of reduction in just the right amount to balance the flavor of the Gudda. I do wish they had sausage and hash browns. But it's not that kind of place. My last complaint would be in the potatoes that come with the Benedict. Whatever other option, they have picked those get anything, but those ours came undercooked, and they refried them for us, and they still were just below average which for a place like this. I expected more. Overall, not a bad place. The coffee was phenomenal. I had a dirty Matcha, and it was perfectly executed. Prices aren't terrible for what you'd expect from downtown St Pete at a fancy place, so I was happy. Service was good and friendly. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with the French toast, the manager came over and offered his apologies and remove the item from my bill, even offered to bring us something else, and to have a beverage to go to make up for it. However, I was at the end of our mail and I was ready to get going with the rest of my day, so I said thank you and we departed. Overall, I will not come back for French toast but that eggs Benedict. I would definitely come back and try something else as well. Give it a shot. Just DONT get the French toast. If you like normal French toast.
We went for Brunch before the St. Pete Grand Prix and were all thoroughly impressed with the food, service, and theming. We ordered an espresso martini, pistachio martini and an iced latte. All were phenomenal. For food we got some eggs, a chicken sandwich and the steak omelet. One of the best omelet I have ever eaten! Eggs cooked perfectly, potatoes were savory and the bread (toast) was even great! Service was friendly, helpful and not rushed. I appreciate he checked on us but also gave us time to enjoy and not be bothered. It got very busy very fast on a Saturday morning. We got there at opening and when we were leaving the place was packed. Highly recommend and we will be back to try dinner!
Amazing went well the staff was super attentive! We left our bag in the restaurant and the waitress ran out to give it to us!! Great attention to detail! Let's talk food : the octopus appetizer was good and the crispy cauliflower was an entire meal. We shared a beet salad very good and both had steaks! The atmosphere was like a library very unique. I don't know about parking we took an uber but reservations are a must!
I love the brunch options here! I've done a few book club meetings because can you think of a better back drop?! So cute! Ambiance is on point. The food is good, the service is good. The breakfast flatbread lacked a little in flavor and was more of a pizza, but still I'd come back'
Service was 5 stars, omelet was the most perfect fluffy bite with layers of flavors, truffle fries were a huge hit with crispiness and flavor, super cute presentation. The lattes didn't miss either. Perfection
Oh went several months ago with my girls...and what an amazing time! The food was off the charts, atmosphere was cool with a hip vibe! I would go here every day if I was close by! We sat outside and couldn't believe how good the service was...stayed on top of everything. She never missed a beat!
Loved the atmosphere/decor! The library setup is great. We didn't love the food though, maybe a little too quirky? We got the Benedict and the Breakfast Burrito, both were fine but we couldn't finish either of them, just wasn't what we liked. I got a strawberry matcha, which I ordered with dairy milk but then they said they can only make a hot matcha with oat or almond milk (?), so I picked almond milk. The matcha was okay. Again, didn't finish it. Would go again for the atmosphere and just to get drinks maybe!
Excellent food and drinks. The theme is consistent and cute with even the checks coming in a little library book. Everything is very intentional and gave a unique experience! We shared a few Apps - whipped feta, Brussels, cauliflower bites- and all were fantastic. I share the Mahi-tacos and the chicken sandwich with a co worker and both were cooked to perfection. My only wish is that the sauce for the truffle fries wasn't so thick. The BEST thing I ate was the Roasted Yellow Tomato soup. Wow, so good and unique flavors. The espresso martini was great and strong! Will definitely go there again.
A great spot for brunch! Granted I know they're open for more but this is what I experienced! We chose to come here for the short period of time my wife and I had to celebrate her birthday. We went Sunday morning with reservations and were seated promptly by a very kind host. Our server was a young guy, very nice and was a nice balance between attentive and giving us our space. We started with the breakfast bread and cocktails, the breakfast bread I will say is really tasty, but incredibly sweet and we were only able to eat one slice a piece with how rich it was. For cocktails I went with an espresso martini myself which was fresh and well made, her cocktail while I cannot remember what she got she was happy with it. They have a full service bar and an eclectic menu to choose from so I'm sure they're mostly all great! For my meal I went with the breakfast flatbread, be sure to ask about the eggs because I was told some ways it will sog up the flatbread! I will say mine was not, I ate half as I was full from the rich bread and I reheated the second half at home in the oven which was great as well! My only bummer for this was that I made sure that they knew it was her birthday and she never got her treat to the table, while 3 others around us did. Overall great food, will return on a regular day just not for a special occasion like a birthday.

This is my new favorite bar in St. Pete. It's got a very interesting vibe to it. I like the books and the lounge feel that it has. I never order food but they have good drinks. On this visit, I order a couple old fashioneds. They were both very good. This is also a good place to come and get some work done like I did. read more

We went to The Library in St. Petersburg and absolutely loved the atmosphere! It's such a beautiful and unique spot. When we first walked in, we were greeted with a smile and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but they were able to find us a table. It wasn't very busy when we went, but it did take a little while for them to get the table ready. The decor is definitely one of my favorite things about this place. It really feels like a library and restaurant combined, with books everywhere and the dining area downstairs. It's such a cute and cozy setting for lunch. I ordered the crispy chicken Cobb salad. It was refreshing and overall pretty good, but honestly, nothing too special in my opinion. The fried chicken wasn't as crispy as I expected and was a little dry, so I definitely needed some water with it. My husband got the club sandwich, and I actually really liked his! It was yummy and refreshing, but again, nothing that completely wowed us. For drinks, I got a glass of house wine which was really good, and my husband got an Old Fashioned. There were so many mosquitoes and flies in the restaurant, unfortunately Overall, we had a nice experience and really enjoyed the atmosphere, but considering the prices, I expected the food to be a little more impressive. I'm not sure if we would come back just for the food, but it's definitely a cute spot to check out if you're looking for a nice lunch with a unique atmosphere! read more

Had the best time celebrating our anniversary weekend with brunch at The Library in St. Pete, and this place completely delivered. The vibe alone is worth the visit. The restaurant is uniquely decorated with floor-to-ceiling books and those old-world aristocratic portraits that make you feel like you've stepped into a quaint literary hideaway. We were seated in a cozy corner with high-backed cushioned chairs that felt like our own little private nook. Perfect for a special occasion that's kind of low key. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the noise level was surprisingly low, which we really appreciated. It made it easy to relax and enjoy our time without feeling overwhelmed. Service was also great - attentive, friendly, and well-paced despite the crowd. Now, the menu... it was honestly hard to choose because so many items sounded amazing. We ended up ordering the crispy Brussels Sprouts and the warmed Burrata to start. The Brussels Sprouts were flavorful and enjoyable, though I personally would have loved just a bit more char on them for that extra depth. The burrata, on the other hand, was packed with flavor - especially if you're a fan of sun-dried tomatoes, this is definitely a must-try. The drinks were a standout, my lychee martini was light, smooth, and refreshing, while my husband's old fashioned was bold and perfectly crafted. He is quite the stickler for a good old fashioned. For our mains, my husband kept it classic with a bacon cheeseburger and fries, which he really enjoyed. It had that delicious smash burger style that hits the spot. I ordered the Chicken Paillard, and it was absolutely delicious--light, fresh, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and agreed that we'd definitely come back. There were still so many dishes we were tempted to try, and that's always a great sign. This place is amazing! My family and I absolutely love it. The vibe is great. The food were beyond delicious. We had bread and butter which it was so delicious. I had Salmon which it is perfect size and all of the flavors were so good. My sister had pork Schnitzel and it was huge. She say that it was good. My mother had Vodka Rigiono (pasta) with shrimp. She told me that it was good. The sauce was amazing. I had cocktail called the inferno. It had nice kick of jalapeno which I enjoyed it a lot. The waiter was nice and accommodating us. The overall experience was amazing. read more
Had lunch here over the weekend and it was so lovely. We made last minute reservations but had no issues with getting a table. The whole theme of this restaurant is very cozy, library vibes (hence the name) - the navy blue book covers lining all of the shelves tie in perfectly with the navy blue benches throughout the space. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the ham and gruyère melt, we also got a croissant and the smoked gouda grits - everything was fantastic but the one thing I left raving about was the smoked gouda grits - those are a MUST TRY. I also had a cocktail, the ink and quill - really yummy. Such a great spot. read more
What a COOL concept! Turkey Club - a but greasy but great flavor and filling. Worth ordering. Steak breakfast burrito - surprisingly not as tasty as I was hoping for but love the cheese Classic Library - poached egg was perfect. Potatoes and bacon was quite yummy. Delicious fruit! So many other things I'd love to order here! We ate outside which had nice ambiance with a awesome guitarist but next time I'd prefer to be inside to enjoy looking at the books on the wall. The Library is beautiful and I think it's a really great place to take visitors if you're not wanting to deal with downtown chaos. Service seems to be hit or miss, but the food is good. I got a breakfast sandwich and while it was simple, it really hit the spot. All my friends enjoyed their food as well. read more

While The Library is a few blocks away from the bustling downtown Pier and Beach tourist spots, its location adjacent to Johns Hopkins makes it well worth the visit outside of the tourist zone. There's dedicated parking for the restaurant behind the building in the lot, plus metered street parking and garages within less than a block. The main entrance is on the side of the building, on 5th Street S just off 6th Avenue S. Outdoor seating is available, but I personally wouldn't choose it, sitting right next to a busy intersection with constant traffic and exhaust isn't my idea of enjoyable. That said, the interior ambiance alone is worth the visit. Inspired by the historic George Peabody Library and part of the Oxford Commons Hospitality group, the design is quirky, fun. The thoughtful mix of bookshelves, warm lighting, rich browns and deep blues, and the seamless blend of library, bar, and dining space creates a truly special atmosphere, especially if you love books. We visited as part of a large group for a special occasion dinner. They accommodated us on very short notice after our original plans changed due to possible rain and outside seating only at our first reservation, which was impressive. Our waitress was fantastic, she handled our entire table (and others) by herself with no buss person and still managed every order and individual request with genuine care and efficiency. I haven't tried breakfast, lunch, the morning coffee/pastry take-out window, or the bar yet, but the dinner experience was excellent. Fair warning: this is not a budget-friendly spot. If you're watching every dollar or might resent the food due to prices, it's probably not the place for you. It's ideal for special occasions or when you want to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost, each dish/cocktail is in line with upscale dining in the area,it does add up quickly with drinks, apps, entrees, and sides, though I read they have happy hour. We ordered appetizers (shared), I also had the opportunity to sip a few cocktails (when offered), I also shared entrees, and sides with some of our group. Everything we tried was very good, there were not stand-outs, all was scrumptious, from the start of appetizers: the warm bread with its delicious butter spread, the roasted cauliflower, the spicy crispy shrimp, the Steak Frites, the perfectly cooked French fries, and the sautéed spinach, all of which I had a taste of personally. The portions looked modest on the plates but were surprisingly filling, many of us had leftovers to take home. We finished with the warm cookie and ice cream, which was hands-down amazing, especially with the perfect touch of flaky salt on top. The cocktails were strong and creative. My first choice (suggested by the waitress) wasn't quite to my taste, it was too tart and strong for me, but she immediately removed it from the bill and happily brought me something else I enjoyed much more. Overall, The Library delivers a memorable experience, amazing ambiance, a beautiful setting, attentive service, and excellent food. Next time I'm trying breakfast. read more
This place has such a cute vibe and the theming is very nice. I love that it feels like a library, and they even bring the check out in a real book! The food was very tasty and pretty good portions, though very expensive. I wasn't the biggest fan of the hot chocolate, it tasted like the kind you make from a packet while I was expecting it to be a little more gourmet, being from a coffee bar. The service was excellent and everything was ready very quickly. Overall a nice place for a special occasion. read more

Simply fantastic- the location inside the hospital is unusual for a terrific food and beverage establishment but there it is! Seating outside, inside and at the long bar in a big open space designed to look like the old school public library. It's a short walk from the Duke Energy Center where we were attending a Wanda Sykes show later that afternoon. We sat at the bar, as no tables were available. The place was packed! The service was excellent and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was on point and we went off to the show happy and sated! Highly recommended! read more
Sooo The Library has been on my list of places to try since I love their sister restaurant, Oxford Exchange. I was not disappointed. From the moment you walk in, it really does feel like a library with food. They are connected to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, which you have to go into if you need the restroom. I loved the seating, we had a small table in the back that would've been the perfect reading spot if I had brought my book. The blue accents in the décor stood out to me too, especially since blue is my favorite color. The service was excellent, and our server gave us great recommendations. Very interesting place, I believe it is a part of the John Hopkins children hospital. It feels like you're having lunch in an actual library. We started with the smoked salmon dip, it was served with pickled onions, pickle slices, pickled lemon slices and homemade potato chips. It was very good. For lunch my daughter had the library classic, two eggs, bacon and potatoes. It was good, my wife had the chicken piallard salad, this was excellent. And I had the turkey club sandwich, it was turkey, ham, bacon, bib lettuce avocado and tomato. It was served with fries. Both were very good. Combined with the very good service we received, made for a really good lunch. read more
We came to The Library for brunch during my friend's bachelorette weekend, and honestly... it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we sat down, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large party and were incredibly patient with everyone's orders. The food was outstanding across the board from beautifully plated brunch dishes to amazing coffee and cocktails. Everything tasted just as good as it looked. The ambiance is absolutely stunning: classy, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, with such a warm, elevated feel. It made the whole brunch feel extra special and perfect for a celebration. Despite how big our group was, everyone was beyond satisfied, and we truly had nothing negative to say. They even handled individual checks flawlessly (which we know can be tedious), and did so with such kindness and professionalism. Definitely a local favorite -- seems to be a popular spot for weddings, private events, and cocktail parties. The drinks and the interior design are the highlights of the show. Food is good but certainly a bit pricey for the dinner portions and overall flavor. Service is top notch and extremely pleasant. Maybe I got lost but parking can be a bit confusing upon arrival since the restaurant is located within the broader Johns Hopkins Children's hospital complex. Bring an umbrella for the walk from the parking lot next to the Ronald McDonald House if you think it might rain! read more

Stepping into The Library... you're immediately enveloped in a unique atmosphere reminiscent of a modern library that was decorated in the old style with books lining the shelves. This place demands attention from the moment you walk in. My wife opted for eggs and bacon, while I went for the cheeseburger. We also shared a French toast, which proved to be the standout dish. It's important to note that this was a shared experience, as we barely managed to finish our portion. The menu offers a brunch selection that's worth exploring. Be prepared to savor every bite, as the food quality here is commendable. Service and flow are both excellent , ensuring a pleasant dining experience. While the ambiance is a highlight, it's the food that truly shines. I'm planning to return for another visit. This place is a hidden gem attached to a hospital that usually is sterile looking and not the best food, the library is quaint and cozy yet still in a large space! We had a great time at brunch, our waiter was able to answer all our questions and provide great recommendations. I would definitely go back whenever I'm in St. Petersburg fl! read more

Only get the warm burrata if you don't mind it becoming like string cheese (flavors were excellent all the same). Our server Isabel was perfectly attentive and professional. The OE (Oxford Exchange) house blend is a yummy robust black tea that they'll resteep for you. We didn't try it, but love the option of a $27 3-course prix fixe lunch. read more

My friend and I found this place on Instagram and decided to make the 1 hr and 45 minute drive to try it out! MAKE RESERVATIONS! They have indoor seating and outdoor seating. We didn't know you e reservations until we were driving there. Luckily, there was a spot outdoor within a good time frame. I would have loved to have dined inside because it's so beautiful and looks like an upscale library, but outdoors was nice too, since it was overcast and slightly breezy. On a sunny, hot day, this may not be the best choice, since it's not covered. They have a small free parking area behind the building, but if it's busy and full, you will have to pay parking on the meter, which you can do on the Park Mobile app. It's not too expensive (about $3 for 2 hours) and you can extend it on the app if need be. Service was so quick and friendly! We went Saturday before Mother's Day & it was busy of course. They had the brunch menu until 4 pm, which was great. Our children got kid's burgers with fries, I got the French Toast stack with an additional fried egg on the side & my friend got the Breakfast Burrito. The kids loved the burger! My friend really enjoyed her burrito, which came with breakfast potatoes. Let me tell you about that French Toast! I thought it was made on croissant bread, because the bread was so soft & flaky (this was such a good thing!) and delicious! Our server said it was made on cinnamon toast sourdough brioche. Mind blown! It was topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries and a Nutella drizzle. There was a Cinnamon Cream Cheese (I think that's what it was) on the side. I ate half there and saved the rest for dinner that night. If French Toast is your thing, PLEASE try this. So delectable! We are definitely coming back with indoor reservations! read more

It was a fine experience. The food was acceptable and the server seemed a little overwhelmed or maybe ending her shift. We felt like an after thought for much of the time we were there. The inside of the restaurant is very cool and does throw you off knowing it is connected to a hospital. Hopefully some of the proceeds go to the children's hospital, but I don't know if that's the case. read more
Haven't been here in a few years but it's just how i remembered and have came back! Our server Shade was super sweet and knowledgeable about the menu + answered any questions we had. I had the Breakfast flatbread which was more a pizza but i really loved the flavor and concept. The caramelized onions were itttt. My boo got the omelette which i tried and had good flavor. The pancakes were a nice sweet treat at the end but i have to say the texture just threw us both off along w the syrup, but we loved the actual flavor of the pancakes n still ate all of it. Loved this spot! Met up with some girlfriends for Sunday Brunch. Our reservation was for outside because inside was already full when making the reservation days prior. Loved all the different coffee options you can choose from. I ordered an iced caramel latte which was great. For my meal I ordered the blackened fish tacos which I loved and would definitely recommend trying. Also tasted the Nutella French toast which was so yummy. Our waitress was great & she constantly checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. read more

Yes, depending on which sandwich you order, they have chips or fries.
What is their dress code?
This is an amazing place! It's casual to Florida business casual. I've seen Pants or nice shorts, but they are fairly casual

Can you bring a bottle of wine, if yes, what is the corkage fee?
Yes! You can bring wine. Our corkage fee is 25$.
Is there breakfast on weekdays? -edit: no they do not have
I may be wrong as I see another post. Brunch only on weekends as far as I know. They do have a coffee bar with pastries all the time.
