I'm not sure why Elite All-Star Dave W and I decided to try the Paradise Grille on Good Friday during Spring Break. We always meet early to avoid the crowds, but there was no avoiding crowds today. Parking is a nightmare. I ended up finding a spot 3 blocks away after driving around for 15 minutes and my spot was closest to the restaurant out of the three of us who showed up for breakfast. Dave W was easy to spot because he's so tall. We grabbed a recently vacated picnic table that had an umbrella for shade. I held the Fort against all comers while Dave W snagged us some food. Paradise Grille is really just a large kiosk. People order and pay, then you get a numbered pager device to let you know when your food is ready at the pickup window. Styrofoam containers, plastic tableware, and outdoor picnic table seating pretty much tell you everything you need to know about the food. BUT since it is on the beach in a resort town the prices are about the same as a sit down restaurant with table service! $4 for 12oz bottled water gives you an idea there. I got a two egg omelette stuffed with spinach, cheese, and sausage with little skittle size potatoes. Not sure of the price because Dave W treated, but I think it was around $15. They also sell alcoholic beverages. Dave W had the Grille recommended to him by his Yoga instructor, and she joined us for breakfast. Vandana is a fun girl. Not only is she a Yoga Master, but she brought along a huge conch shell. The sound she got out of this thing was like a foghorn. People from as far as a couple of hundred yards away all turned to look, and nearby patrons waiting in line all clapped. Dave W and I both tried it and could only get a little toot out of the thing. And I played Sax for 20 years in a wedding band! Besides the spring breakers there were a lot of families and kids running around as well. I'd guess that 500 people were spread out along a few hundred yards of shoreline. There was also arts and crafts vendors set up in a patio near the restaurant. To justify the crowds, impossible parking, and high prices, there was a lot of nice scenery. Definitely a party atmosphere. If you are spending the day on the beach you can justify the high prices. But as a breakfast or lunch spot, there is too little food for too much money.

This place may seriously have the best location and some of the best views in America. The sunsets are amazing. Not your typical seaside grub either. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced, like surprisingly reasonable. Good sized portions. The staff is super friendly. Very chill vibe. Can't say enough good things about it!

This is such a great setup. Good menu choices, lots of fun and colorful seating. Very clean. Get view right on the beach!! Drink menu also. Bathrooms available. They now have cute little gift shop too. Lots of parking, super busy on weekends and holidays so parking fills up quickly. The only reason for 4/5 stars is some of the workers are not friendly and borderline rude. This has been this vibe with my last several visits and is why it's being mentioned.

We had lunch while spending the day at Pass A Grill beach. The food was very fresh, the portions were generous and service was fast and made to order. They have a nice offering of cocktails and beer and have plenty of tables for dining or enjoying your cocktails. The food was very good and not your typical beach food. They have a pretty extensive menu so there is likely something for everyone and they serve breakfast as well. The Peel and eat shrimp were well worth it, nice and spicy, served with cocktail sauce and 11 large shrimp per order. The wings also a good choice. They offered blackened and Buffalo style both on the bone. Pulled pork tacos were also good. Not your traditional pulled pork taco though. It had barbecued pork and coleslaw on it, very tasty. The chicken quesadilla was loaded with cheese and chicken. All food was fresh, cooked to order and the staff was as friendly and helpful as can be. I definitely recommend for a good meal, then come back for a cocktail and watch the sunset on the beach. Plenty of chairs for viewing.

Great beach spot. You can get food and drinks. It was busy when we got there around 1:30. I didn't have the food I can only comment on the vibe and drinks. The staff is friendly and they handle the crowd very well. Not drinker and I love you can get any drink workout alcohol. I did a margarita and rum punch and my sister in law had the Miami Vice. Although I didn't have the food for what I saw folks were enjoying it. They also had a little Flee Market and live music. A nice chill vibe with a walk on the beach. What else can you ask for?

This was such a fun stop--I picked it so that we could have brunch on the beach, and was not at all disappointed!! The food is served from a large kiask-type building. There were several staff working, and they were friendly and helpful with the few questions I had while ordering. The meals were very reasonably priced--we got a lot of food for our 2 meals at $40. I love that condiments (butter, jelly, syrup, etc.) are available to pick up when you get your food, since I like a lot more than is normally given with a meal! The food tasted great and was very fresh. The home fries were my favorite part, and I'm not even a potato person at all! The seasoning on these was absolutely delicious, they were cooked perfectly crispy, and were the big star of the show for me!! The bacon was also cooked perfectly. The French toast and pancakes were great, but nothing spectacular. Everything was hot and fresh which made it delicious! But the best part was eating at their outdoor tables right off the beach by just a few yards. Totally worth coming for that experience alone, but I'm glad the food was delicious as well!!

Good food decent prices. The view is the biggest draw right on the water nice breeze. Just good vibes. Good drinks. Service is a walk up window for food and drinks.

As much as I love to bring a pub sub on the beach, sometimes it is nice to just forget the cooler and grab something to eat at the beach. I've ordered from Paradise Grill a few times and every time I sit down on my beach chair with a fresh buffalo chicken wrap in hand, I thank myself that I did not choose to bring my own food onto the beach. The wrap comes with chicken, tomato, lettuce, and buffalo sauce. I typically get a side of fries with my order. It is so yummy and is a perfect pick-me-up after a long day in the sun. Also, they have a large menu, so you have a wide selection of food to choose from. My sister ordered the chicken strip basket and enjoyed it. Naturally, the only challenge with bringing hot food onto the beach is the birds. Be prepared that birds may be flying around you if you choose to eat on the beach as opposed to the many tables they have outside the restaurant (which is maybe the better option lol). You can also purchase cocktails and beer at the bar. Last spring, my friend and I visited St. Pete and ordered some drinks along with food. I got a mango daiquiri and my friend ordered a rum + coke, both drinks were yummy and refreshing. Such a fun place to visit on a beach day and is the perfect spot to watch the sunset at!

We were staying nearby for the weekend and my husband suggested we head over this way to check it out and find something to eat. It was a perfect excursion. There was a little art fair on the patio and the restaurant was open for breakfast. The menu offers muffins, coffee, breakfast sandwiches and omelettes. I went with a breakfast sandwich and my husband had a muffin. Both tasted great. The ambiance is the best part, though, with plenty of colorful chairs and tables overlooking the beach.

Lives in the area 5 years never been down to Pass A grill before. Stopped here for lunch and what a gem! Right on the beach, which you don't really see along the pinellas county beaches, you can walk right off the beach and get a burger. . They have a walk up window, you order and they give you a vibrator, and you pick up your food. Plenty of places to sit including Adirondack chairs right on the beach. Food was great! Will 100% be here again!

Come for the location and the sunset views! Despite being insanely busy, the staff was friendly and moved the line quickly. Live music was a nice addition! I was surprised how fast my buzzer went off notifying me my buffalo chicken wrap was ready! Food was hot and fresh. Appreciate the availability of local beers to drink, I opted for an orange IPA from 3 Daughters. Seating is limited, but easy to take your food down to the beach. Just watch out for the seagulls, they will steal your fries!

Bright colorful beach side joint or pit stop on a long surf side walk. Even a Zero like me can enjoy a Zero, Bud!

Snazzy little eatery and watering hole placed right on the beachfront. We've been taking early morning walks along the packed white and gentle roll of waves on a 3.5 mile loop. It's currently February, it's early walking, but a need to hydrate is always there. We stopped on our return leg, walked up to the outdoor counter and ordered a Bud Zero and an Orange slushy fresh from a blender. Meanwhile, comfort stations were used and we then enjoyed the colorful surrounds at the Grille. Being a Sunday morning brunch items were available to order, but we had already eaten back at base camp.

Huge menu!! Ranging from breakfast to lunch (breakfast until 11) - all wonderful options for the beach. This location has seating or take it to the beach like I did was the perfect treat

There's dedicated parking for the restaurant behind the building in the lot, plus metered street parking and garages within less than a block. The main entrance is on the side of the building, on 5th Street S just off 6th Avenue S. Outdoor seating is available, but I personally wouldn't choose it, sitting right next to a busy intersection with constant traffic and exhaust isn't my idea of enjoyable. That said, the interior ambiance alone is worth the visit. Inspired by the historic George Peabody Library and part of the Oxford Commons Hospitality group, the design is quirky, fun. The thoughtful mix of bookshelves, warm lighting, rich browns and deep blues, and the seamless blend of library, bar, and dining space creates a truly special atmosphere, especially if you love books. We visited as part of a large group for a special occasion dinner. They accommodated us on very short notice after our original plans changed due to possible rain and outside seating only at our first reservation, which was impressive. Our waitress was fantastic, she handled our entire table (and others) by herself with no buss person and still managed every order and individual request with genuine care and efficiency. I haven't tried breakfast, lunch, the morning coffee/pastry take-out window, or the bar yet, but the dinner experience was excellent. Fair warning: this is not a budget-friendly spot. If you're watching every dollar or might resent the food due to prices, it's probably not the place for you. It's ideal for special occasions or when you want to enjoy a meal without worrying about the cost, each dish/cocktail is in line with upscale dining in the area,it does add up quickly with drinks, apps, entrees, and sides, though I read they have happy hour. We ordered appetizers (shared), I also had the opportunity to sip a few cocktails (when offered), I also shared entrees, and sides with some of our group. Everything we tried was very good, there were not stand-outs, all was scrumptious, from the start of appetizers: the warm bread with its delicious butter spread, the roasted cauliflower, the spicy crispy shrimp, the Steak Frites, the perfectly cooked French fries, and the sautéed spinach, all of which I had a taste of personally. The portions looked modest on the plates but were surprisingly filling, many of us had leftovers to take home. We finished with the warm cookie and ice cream, which was hands-down amazing, especially with the perfect touch of flaky salt on top. The cocktails were strong and creative. My first choice (suggested by the waitress) wasn't quite to my taste, it was too tart and strong for me, but she immediately removed it from the bill and happily brought me something else I enjoyed much more. Overall, The Library delivers a memorable experience, amazing ambiance, a beautiful setting, attentive service, and excellent food. Next time I'm trying breakfast.

The restaurant is uniquely decorated with floor-to-ceiling books and those old-world aristocratic portraits that make you feel like you've stepped into a quaint literary hideaway. We were seated in a cozy corner with high-backed cushioned chairs that felt like our own little private nook. Perfect for a special occasion that's kind of low key. Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the noise level was surprisingly low, which we really appreciated. It made it easy to relax and enjoy our time without feeling overwhelmed. Service was also great - attentive, friendly, and well-paced despite the crowd. Now, the menu... it was honestly hard to choose because so many items sounded amazing. We ended up ordering the crispy Brussels Sprouts and the warmed Burrata to start. The Brussels Sprouts were flavorful and enjoyable, though I personally would have loved just a bit more char on them for that extra depth. The burrata, on the other hand, was packed with flavor - especially if you're a fan of sun-dried tomatoes, this is definitely a must-try. The drinks were a standout, my lychee martini was light, smooth, and refreshing, while my husband's old fashioned was bold and perfectly crafted. He is quite the stickler for a good old fashioned. For our mains, my husband kept it classic with a bacon cheeseburger and fries, which he really enjoyed. It had that delicious smash burger style that hits the spot. I ordered the Chicken Paillard, and it was absolutely delicious--light, fresh, and full of flavor without feeling heavy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and agreed that we'd definitely come back. There were still so many dishes we were tempted to try, and that's always a great sign. The Library is a unique and memorable spot that's perfect for brunch, date nights, or any special occasion. Give it a try!

The Wooden Rooster: Where My Morning Got Its Life Together Before I Did…read more Listen... I came here expecting "just a crepe." What I got was a full-on personality upgrade. First off--the vibe. Somehow it's better than Kraft (yeah I said it), but like... calmer, cooler, and not screaming at you before coffee. It's peaceful, shady, low-noise... the kind of place where you feel like you should start journaling or making better life decisions. Now let's talk food. I ordered The B.E.A.S.T. and I'm not exaggerating when I say this thing deserves its own documentary. Bacon. Pesto. Sun-dried tomatoes. Eggs. It was like every breakfast all-star showed up and said, "Let's absolutely dominate this guy's morning." Perfect balance. Crispy, creamy, savory... I took one bite and immediately forgave myself for everything I've ever done wrong. And honestly? This is a WAY better place to start your morning than the bagel place down the street. You know the one. We've all settled for it. We don't have to live like that anymore. Also--huge shoutout to the service. These people were so nice I almost asked if they wanted to come manage my personal life too. Fast, friendly, and somehow still chill. Bonus points for the menu because where else can you go from a Nutty Joe dessert crepe to a Cubano crepe to a PB&J throwback without anyone questioning your life choices? Final verdict: If you're in downtown St. Pete and not coming here, you're making your mornings unnecessarily harder than they need to be. Wooden Rooster didn't just feed me-- it emotionally supported me.
