WARNING-VERY HONEST REVIEW We eat out a lot and mostly leave positive reviews but we can't in good faith give Breeze a good review. First, we arrived at 12 noon, put in our name with Sofia who gave us a 20-30 minute wait time. When we returned 25 mins later, the party in front of us was complaining about waiting an hour yet she told them we were before them and she didn't have their name. She proceeded to seat them discretely before us. After 50+ minutes we said something. She told us to leave a bad review and to leave the restaurant. We had waited so long and lost opportunities to put in our name at other restaurants so we decided to wait. After an hour, we said something. We had watched another table waiting the last 20 minutes for their bill so they could pay and leave. Finally the manger came out and said no worries, we would have a table and he got us seated quickly. He assigned Nate as our waiter. We were optimistic that we were on our way to a great brunch as one person in our party had come to the restaurant and had a good experience before and so we were hopeful. We immediately placed our order since we had time to review the menu, we asked for waters and drinks. Water never came until we asked again. Silverware never came until we asked for silverware. . When the food did come it was meh. Crepe was dry, wrap was cold, best part of the meal was the Bloody Marys. The table next to us overheard our conversation and said they were also having an awful experience with the staff and would not return. Nate then told us we were difficult for no reason. When we had asked for the bill he told us he didn't divide it in 2 bills because he did it on purpose. He also said "my name is Nate, go ahead and write a bad review about me". We never intended to write any reviews. It was just an awful experience. We will never return and it would have taken such a small effort to make amends once we were seated, but instead the staff was rude and instigated patrons who were giving the restaurant business. Our community is small, we support only local businesses, but not this one. read more

Their coffee menu is expansive and includes espresso and specialty espresso based drinks as well as a bold coffee. I was super intrigued by one specialty coffee that included ice cream-- sounded like a sublime dessert. Other offering include French toast (that's my next time order), classic 2 egg entrees, and old world crepes stuffed with sweet and savory fillings. My daughter chose the croissant sandwich that was cooked to perfection and included enough hollandaise to please the palette without compromising the delicate croissant. I chose the crepe with Nutella, banana, and strawberries which seemed to me a nice balance between breakfast and dessert (hey, there was fruit, right?). Service was friendly and efficient-- they did get busy but the delightful bay backdrop was more than sufficient to soothe the soul and indulge in the island time mindset. The Cafe is situated within and around a deco era beach house. We were seated on the front porch, reed shades filtered the sun and the gentle breeze from offshore. We had ample time to browse the menu with crepe's galore and daily specials while enjoying an iced coffee and sweet iced tea. I switched from Crepe to Special and number of times, the settled on Special: Medium rare beef tenderloin in a wrap with grilled peppers, onion, & feta in a wrapped pita with thin cut fries for a side. My wife enjoyed "The Faithful" crepe with ham, eggs, spinach, tomatoes in a buckwheat crepe, topped with Hollandaise sauce. What a beautiful little waterfront cafe this is! I'm traveling solo, so I walked in and asked for a table for one person. Often, they balk when you want to take up a table when it's just one person. But they seated me promptly at a table on the porch, and I have to add that they never once tried to rush me out. Service was wonderful. Attentive but not intrusive. Coffee was hot and fresh. I ordered the biscuits with gravy - served with eggs and breakfast meat. The biscuits were perfect southern style biscuits but the gravy was not what I expected. It was a brown gravy rather than the white gravy I was expecting. But it was really very good. Overall, the food was great, service great, and waterfront ambiance was fantastic! read more

Gem by the Beach! This cute little spot sits right in front of the beach, and surprisingly, parking was a breeze (pun intended). The place has a cozy, homey feel--almost like a bed and breakfast--and the service was fantastic. Our server was super helpful with recommendations and answered all our questions. Stopped in for brekky before leaving the St. Pete Beach area and I gotta say, this place slapsssss. Dog-friendly, great service, and food that legit blew us away. The croissant sandwich was amazing. Seriously, IDK where these people source their croissants, but holy shiz- do NOT skip it. The iced toffee-nut latte was the perfect sip to wash it all down. Our experience here was nice except for a nasty group of people who sat next to us. That kind of dampened our experience however the food was really tasty. We went here on Sunday for my birthday breakfast after checking out of our airbnb. I was looking forward to a nice breakfast before getting on the road but it was a complete disappointment, unfortunately. We were seated in the garden area which was perfect since we had our pups with us. We were only occupied table out there before 2 more parties were seated after us. We ordered our food and waited and waited. We thought it was strange how long it was taking but didn't want to be rude and say anything until the 2 other tables (one of which was a party of 6, we were just a party of 2) who were seated and ordered 15 to 25 minutes after us all got their food. We just sat there awkwardly looking at eachother like "wtf" it was uncomfortable just sitting there while everyone was eating around us and we had an empty table and no explanation or apology as to why our food never arrived. I finally got up to ask someone inside if they forgot to put our order in and the young man, who was polite, acknowledged that they were aware. If they were aware how come no one acknowledged us to apologize until I had to go inside and ask? At this point our poor dogs were so hot and restless I should've just canceled the order and went somewhere else. The food finally arrived and it was a huge disappointment especially considering the wait and how expensive it was. I ended up giving my breakfast burrito to the dogs. The waitress mentioned a discount due to the mixup on their part so I expected maybe half off the meal, yeah no, it was like a measly 15% off. Pathetic. Not to mention I had to hunt down the waitress to even get the bill to pay so we could finally leave. My advice don't waste your time here! read more

Worst service ever. The 4 of us are St Petersburg Florida residents and arrived at The Breeze Waterfront Cafe on a Sunday at noon in Gulfport. We provided our name to Sofia, the hostess, and she said the waitlist was 20 to 30 minutes. We said fine. After 45 minutes my friend told Sofia we were still waiting. After an hour we asked again as another group of 4 people who complained about the long wait were seated ahead of us. After my friend asked Sofia once again how much longer, Sofia told her to just leave and go somewhere else and she said she didn't care if we left the restaurant a bad review. She said "feel free to use my name Sofia and just post it". She seemed a bit stressed. However the owner came over and apologized and said we would get seated in a minute. After another server named Nate took our order, he kept making strange comments to us as he would walk by while we waited on our food. Then we were served our food but without any napkins nor utensils. The young couple sitting next to us overheard and told us they were both servers at other restaurants and would never behave in that way. We told them we were disappointed by our negative experience but were just leaving. We asked Nate ahead of time to split the check in half, but were only brought one total. We asked him why he didn't split to total and he replied "Maybe I just didn't care to". The server made sure to tell us to use his name was Nate, as if he owned the place, and to make sure we use his name if we wanted to post. Perhaps this is not his name or maybe he is the son of the owner and just didn't care. Also I am not sure why young people keep talking about posting. We noticed other friends at the same restaurant on our way out and told them what happened. It is a shame to be treated this way, but there are plenty of restaurants where we live. We will make sure to not return at this restaurant and let our friends know. This may be the worst service we ever had and we are all retired and love eating out. Great food, great service! They have an outdoor section that is covered and has ceiling fans to keep you cool. Outdoor section is dog friendly and ramp accessible. Outdoor section also has a nice view of the water across the street. We enjoyed the avocado toast and Frank's French toast- they also have real maple syrup which is a plus. The pups enjoyed the bacon as well. Mango mimosas were delicious and you can order by the glass or by the bottle. Servers were all friendly and upbeat. The road floods in severe weather, and it did take some time to cross the street after the severe rainstorm caused some street flooding. read more

This adorable little place provides a beautiful waterfront view and cozy atmosphere. Our party of 4 sat outside on a early Saturday morning and dined with only a few other tables on the deck. It was perfect! The food was amazing. The toast on everyone's plates was huge and fluffy and delicious. The French toast was beautiful and yummy. The homemade gravy was savory and the biscuits still had the perfect crisp to them. I would love to go back and try a crepe as they all sounded so good. Our server was busy but she was great and stayed on top of it even with having to go inside and outside constantly. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone nearby. we biked to Breeze for brunch on Sunday arriving at noon, so busy time. They do not take phone numbers just hand write your names we were given an approximate time of 20 minutes. After parking our bikes and walking back to the line checked our wait time. There was severeal mad groups complaining in front of us. The hostess told a group in front of us they were behind us on the list. After the. man continued to be mad we saw them seated. That upset us and we complained, the hostess told us they were very busy and we could leave. This was 1 after an hour of waiting we decided to stay. Bad decision our server a young man made several nasty comment. No water, no silverware we finally got silverware and napkins after several requests. Bloody Mary's were good food was average not worth the long wait. Bathroom was dirty towels on floor, no towels in dispenser and dirty. At time of order we asked for separate checks for each couple he brought one. When I asked him to split it he said maybe it was on purpose assuming this was more sarcasm. There was absolutely no reason for our server to be this rude. A young couple beside us also complained they had not received food or drinks. Not sure where the friendly welcoming staff were today. Been seeing reviews for this place that were really good and it always pops up to the top when you search for a good breakfast/ Brunch spot so here we are! Small menu but all sounds really good. Grabbed a table in the garden that was really nice. Nice and relaxing. We started with a macchiato and a mimosa. Both very good. For food I was torn between the chorizo skillet or the burg crepe. Our server said the crepe was her fav so I got that. Delicious! So many great flavors and cooked so well. Deb had the croissant sandwich called the Paris. So good!
