We stopped here when we were driving thru. They have a great variety of items and the store is super clean! The variety of olives and jams are fantastic. They also have a clean restroom to use!

Yup, this is the fruit stand that everyone wishes they had in their town. This has it all; veg, fruit, nuts and more. Everything is fresh, the selection wide with some unusual fruit and veg available as well as the standards and the staff is GREAT. If you're in the area, stop there and if you're not quite in the area, make a side trip.

    Country Fries with streak. Yum!

This place is always a stop for us. We always get fruit and veggies which are delicious! Just found out they have a restaurant inside. Decided to give it a try and I will say I wasn't disappointed. Food was so good and definitely coming back !! Ordered tacos, super burrito, and country fries. The prices are great and portions also. A must try!

Amazing fresh fruit. A must stop location if you're passing through. Definitely worth it.

The Charter Family Fruit stand is a necessary stop if you're in the area! I was FINALLY in the area at a time when the stand was open. Many local fresh fruits, vegetables, and nuts were in-season. The "fruit stand" is awesome! It's also huge. The "stand" is bigger than many peoples' homes. The stand has fresh produce outside and also inside, in the room to the left as you enter the front doors. The right side room mostly features local canned products like jams, honey, olives, oils, nut butters, etcetera. They also have dried fruits & flavored nuts in a giant wooden bin and a cooler with "take & bake" pies. There's a cooler on the back with miscellaneous cold beverages. If you're lucky and you happen to come by at the end of the week or on the weekend, the kitchen will probably be open. They have hot foods like tacos and cold drinks like fresh fruit smoothies! They usually have a basket of home-made giant cookies too! Since I was going to fly home, I had to spend most of my time getting canned goods that could be easily shipped. I also grabbed a "Green Machine" smoothie and a giant molasses cookie for the road. The staff are also very friendly and helpful! Thumbs up!!! -Daddy Maxx Retro

We love this local fruit stand. Just 5 minutes from home, we try to buy all of our vegetables here as they last so much longer.

Did this fruit stand go out of business?

No. It just opened up for the season a few days ago. Go to their Facebook page and you will see they are opened up. The last time I tried to call their phone number online, it was not working. They have corn, some peaches, nectarines now and in… Read more

After trying other CSAs in the area I came across Riverdog Farm from a newsletter sent out by my…read morefavorite pork butcher, Fatted Calf. $20 a week for organic produce, why not give it a shot. So I paid for a month in advance (you pay by check either by the month or the quarter) and waited for my first pick up. Fortunately there are a few options for picking up your box in Napa (check their website to see if there's one nearby you) including one only a mile away from our home. Yeah! The pickup location, at least in my area, is in someone's carport which is fairly typical of CSAs, thank goodness for volunteers. Just verify your pick up by signing the clipboard by your name, grab your box or unload it into your own bags (if you take the box return it in your next visit) then prepare to be wowed by the amazing produce. Each week is a little but different and changes along with the season. What's always in the box is the most beautiful organic produce I've ever seen. This weeks box had a bunch of gorgeous rainbow chard which was sautéed along with Fatted Calf sweet sausage served on top of Model bread with poached eggs. Best chard ever! I've posted a few pics of the last few boxes, judge for yourself, Riverdog Farm is amazing. It doesn't get any better than this. PS... They also raise organic fed hogs and chickens. Picked up my first pork share (delivered along with my regular box pick up) and the cuts look so tasty. Can not wait to braise the fresh hocks. Check their website for a complete list of pork share offerings.

I was pretty confident that I'd written about Riverdog in the past and was somewhat shocked to see that I praised only their eggs in my short initial review. Yes, the eggs are great, and everyone knows it. But I can make a long, long list of Riverdog products that consider to be top notch: green garlic, raw chickens, pork chops, carrots, daikons, asparagus tips, onions, black radishes, little gems when they're available, .... At the moment, their early girl and heirloom tomatoes are truly excellent. In recent weeks, I've gotten their squash and green beans -- excellent again, of course. Riverdog prices are not outrageous, in view of the high quality. Their wares merit a detour. The farmers (Trini and Tim) and their employees (shout out here for Becky) are all super-nice. Check them out!

Those are all very valid reasons to love this place alone, but for me this place has a few sentimental reasons that I enjoy them and value them so much. One I remember when my children were quite young and they would stay at their grandmothers in the Bay Area for days at a time and when we did the kid exchange it was always done at the Pedricks parking lot and then the kids and I would walk into the market and they would each pick out a treat-I cherish those memories. The other thing I think about Pedrick is way back when, during the time when the Covid-Era lockdown was coming to an end,I remember the 1st day they told us we could begin going outside again, the very 1st place the wifey and I drove to was Pedricks. We jumped in the car in Natomas and beelined straight for some fresh fruit and veggies and whatever other treats we could find that day at Pedricks. It was such a joy to see them open and fully stocked that day,I might as well have been going to Disneyland,we were so happy to see people again. Fast forward to today and I find myself going here about once a month, whenever I'm either driving to or from the Bay Area usually visiting relatives. It's a great spot to pick up the freshest and tastiest fruits and veggies to bring to events. I am also a certified ChiliHead,so their vast collection of hot sauces is unmatched in the area-a true must stop spot for anyone who considers themselves a hot sauce connoisseur. Yep other things that really stand out at Pedricks is their wide variety of fresh nuts available for purchase-they truly have so many varieties and flavors at pretty decent pricing. I also really enjoy their candy selection,I truly need to use extreme discipline when I gaze upon their candy offerings as they have so much and as much of a sweet tooth as I have,I have to learn often to just say no and walk away-I'm glad it's here though. In closing,In case it's not obvious,I really truly do recommend Pedricks as it's a great market offering some of the best fruits and veggies in the area, along with so much more. Love this place.
