Can't say the same about the refrigerated food ex the sandwiches, pasta salads, and BBQ tofu. I really used to enjoy the BBQ tofu when it was from boontberry in willits. The tofu now is just bland with no salt. Most of the food in that case is like that. Vegetarian food doesn't have to be bland. You can use salt. Wish they would make some changes to the hot bar also. Make people want and enjoy vegetarian food not the opposite. Vegetarian food has come a long way the co op could do much better in that regard.

They do, however, have a large selection of wine and beer. Depending on prices, this might be their biggest draw. The ambience here is old small town store vibe. Many of their shelf stable specialty items have no price on them so you really don't know what the price tag is unless you don't care or have to ask. The service counter is very small and crowded with the kind of things you would find in a Seven-11--lottery tickets, vitamins, gum etc. Service was OK for what it is. Maybe because I came on a Tuesday, there were only half a dozen premade salads, (bean salad, potato, salad, etc.) A list of sandwich specialties were handwritten written on a piece of paper tacked to the wall. Specialty Sandwich selections were limited, but they will make you any type of sandwich you want. I had a ham and cheese, and the ham was that slick, processed type of ham, which most folks don't care for. Bottom line: it's resting on its sandwich laurels , trying to maximize profits as best they can.
