Truthfully, this was not my first time at Zeke's, as I had tried it many years ago, at their original location, when I still lived in town. I remember not being particularly impressed the first time but I love this type of cuisine so I picked up a Huli Huli Chicken Rice Bowl. Man, it was absolutely incredible. The bowl needed two small cups of fish sauce to try and bring down the sweetness, and make it taste more traditional. Overall, for being out in the country, the locals are lucky to have this restaurant. Inside is also very clean and the service was fast and smooth with a very responsive server checking in often.

The interior is very narrow and the sitting area, while plenty of seats, isn't conducive to a long term hangout. Grab your meal, enjoy, chat for a bit, then head out. But not every place has to be geared towards people like me who likes to sit and chat for awhile. It's cool to see Peoria have such a varied amount of cultural places to sample; from Chinese to Vietnamese to Italian to Mexican to Mediterranean. I like the strong tea flavor, which was slightly bitter and not too sweet. Nice place to sit with comfy couches for lounging, or tables to study and chit chat. They have free WiFi near the front.
