Had an early dinner there. This is at the location that used to be Yoso. The food is described as Pan Asian, which is relatively unique. Since all of Asia is potentially included on the menu, it lets the chef spread his culinary wings quite a bit. There is Indian, Japanese, SE Asian, and even Russian (Beef Stroganoff) food on the menu. The decor is modern. I think it is a good place for a bunch of friends. I would have to see how it is after dark to judge if it is good for a date night. The waitstaff (we had Alyssia) was friendly and extremely helpful in helping us choose our meals. For appetizers, we had Crab Wontons and Crispy Potato Chaat. The Wontons were good and had a lot more crab meat than I am used to seeing. The Chaat really wowed me. I am not usually one to care about presentation much, but the presentation actually mattered for this and really elevated it. If you can fit the whole thing in one bite (I have a big mouth), the flavorful soft insides effectively burst out when you bite through the light crispy outside. It is really a nice creation and the dish that stood out the most to me from the entire meal. For entrees, my wife had the Chef's Ramen. I had a Spicy Tuna Roll and a Banh Mi sandwich. I tasted some of the ramen. It was good overall, but I didn't have enough of it to give a proper evaluation. My wife felt the dish was too salty and remarked about feeling swollen the next day. I have had this complaint with another of the Chef's restaurants (Plus Saporis). For my entrees, the Spicy Tuna Roll was decent, but not spectacular. The rice was not quite sticky enough and I had a little trouble keeping the roll together with chopsticks. The Banh Mi sandwich was good, but similarly not spectacular. The citrus mayo wasn't spread evenly over the sandwich, so most of it seemed dry. The meat was a bit on the salty side, but the veggies helped balance this out. For the quality of the food, the prices were not bad. Overall, it wasn't perfect, but I was happy with the meal and we would eat here again. read more

Had sushi at Sindo earlier.. y'all. Ok, so #1 i ordered a saki bottle. Hot. Showed up cold. #2. They messed up one roll. Told us about it. Ok. #3. They brought out each thing we ordered, about 10 min apart, wtf?. Why not wait and bring it all? #4 when they finally delivered my two rolls, it came with a side of long black hair.. HOW DID YOU NOT SEE THE HAIR?!? The roll was white! #5. They finally brought my replacement rolls. They made them fast, and they just fell apart when you picked them up. #6. End of the experience. The server says, and I quote, "We'd like to offer you complimentary desserts." We debated. "Okay" ordered Creme Brule' and Lemon ice cream. They brought it wrapped up to go. We got.. a creme brule', a serving dish, inside a black foam box. They gave me a dish. It was store bought pudding with burnt sugar on top. The ice cream? Vanilla bean. #7. They charged us for the ice cream.. this is the sushi place next to the police station in Bettendorf. Come. The fuck. On.. This was 5/16/26 @ 5:30 or so. Do better. How insulting. read more

When it takes an hour to get your food after ordering, there is something wrong. My husband and I have honestly never waited so long for food in a restaurant before. The whole experience was chaotic, and the food was not hot. We felt like it was best to leave, when all of a sudden the food arrived. Underwhelming at best it was and not all that flavorful.. YOSO was better, but then that went downhill too. If you would try to have lunch at Sindo's you would not ever get back to the office or where ever you work in time. We were flabbergasted that this new restaurant was so very poorly run. And no, we never went back even though we both love Asian cuisine. It was such a disappointment. read more

Our meal at Sindo had some hits and some misses. Our favorite were the beef lettuce bowl appetizers- fantastic flavor and pairings. The crab rangoons, also a classic and were good. However, the sushi was a bit of a miss. We had three different rolls and all had too much rice for the innards and not much flavor. Wouldn't recommend that. The shishito peppers were under-blistered, far too spicy, and the spicy mayo on top wasn't the best pairing. The grilled shrimp was so overcooked it was hard and an under seasoned. Pad Thai was low on flavor and had little to it. Beef baguette was such a huge amount of bread and lettuce- decent flavor though. Maybe I'd go back for some apps and drinks. Parking and seating were quick and smooth, but unfortunately that's where the positives ended. We waited well over an hour for our food despite the restaurant not being very busy when we arrived, and there were no updates or communication from staff during that time. When the food finally came out, there was a small insect (looked like a tiny fly) crawling on the plate. While it may have simply landed there, the bigger issue was the response--there was no apology or acknowledgment. The plate was taken away and we were asked if we wanted a replacement, which likely would have meant another long wait. The food itself was average and not worth the extended wait. An automatic gratuity was also added for our party of four adults and two toddlers. While that can be standard in some places, the overall service did not justify it in this case. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn't return. read more

Service was AMAZING!!! I moved here about a year ago and I've had my fair share of Asian Cuisine but this definitely is my new favorite. My Girlfriend and I started off with the crab wontons and from there I already knew the rest was going to be amazing I'm already planning on coming back and taking a table outside. read more
