My room however was not worth the $1k per night I paid. No cookies, small bathroom, no AC (visited in the blazing summer), no fridge. The charges for food were outrageous. Lunch menu was limited and I spent $100 on a bowl of soup, salad and a couple of soft drinks. This all being said am I happy I stayed here, yes. Its a once in a lifetime stay that I would never repeat but I probably put the $5k I spent to better use as a down payment on a new car but you only live once!

There was lots of choice i went for salmon gravalax for starter, the cannon of lamb for main and cheese and biscuits for dessert. The salmon was served with dill and was tasty. The lamb was served with seasonal veg and dauphinois potatoes and was served perfectly pink. The cheese and biscuits were fine ith pretty main stresm cheese choices. They do a good breakfast with everything cooked to order as well as specialities such as eggs benedict, smoked kippers, poached eggs and classic smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. However it's very comfortable with regard to the room. The bath is a bit off as it's a tub shower and climbing in and out can be tricky. The overall hotel is quiet and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant is quite nice and Chris is an excellent host Elvis at the front desk is quite helpful and the manager is awesome as well. This UK chain is all across the country and I highly recommend it.

The hotel had no backup power for the outage so they shipped us 25 miles away by cab to a sister property with no communication except we were being moved. We were told to wait in the dark lounge - no flashlights, lanterns not even a candle We were driven by cab and basically abandoned in the town of Windsor. There were several hotels with power in town but they would have had to pay for the room. General manager, Mr. Kumar, did not return my calls. Would stay here again if I needed to be in the area.
