The Crooked Cup had it's roots in Northern Colorado, which is not a bad thing. While many of the local coffee shops have the typical food fare, The Crooked Cup supplies Cheyenne with something new, kolaches! For those who are not familiar with kolaches, they are polish pastries that have some kind of savory food in them. The kolaches here are pretty dang good! Glad I found this super fun coffee shop in downtown Cheyenne on Yelp! An abundance of natural light and live green plants, along with their friendly staff, help make the atmosphere feel clean and inviting. I tried the whole milk latte, smothered bacon burrito, and the fruit and nut oatmeal. I love green chili, so I definitely recommend smothering the burrito! The oatmeal was way above average for instant (umpqua oats) and they added coconut milk to it for me for no additional charge. I thought the latte was D-lish! The burrito was slightly soggy, it basically tasted like it had been zapped in the microwave, but still not bad, especially with the green chili. They also have plenty of electric outlets for laptops and free WiFi that I clocked at around 14 Mbps download speed. Highly recommend! read more

We stopped by on our way through town around lunch time. I got the workout smoothie which was delicious and filling. Then I also got the club sandwich with avocado on the gluten free bagel. The sandwich was very good and the gluten free option was great. They also had some gluten free pastries for sale so a good place to stop if that is a concern. First time I have eaten gluten free brioche roll sandwich with good choice of any hummus, tomatoes slice, raw mushrooms, many list, avocado(50 cent) and few cheeses. I am vegan I chose hummus, basil pesto, spinach, and tomato with delicious gluten free brioche that have slight bigger than bagel size. I love it! Nice breakfast bagel options! Surprised they make and bake fresh bread especially gluten free. We had good general latte and espresso with chai. Taste is right. Apparently they are few weeks since first opened. Finally got around to trying this little coffee shop. Reminds me of an artsy coffee bar. The barista was working the whole place himself. He was sweet and friendly. We had Americanos, which were very good, so we bought a bag of coffee to try out at home. The best things we tried were the cinnamon rolls. He warmed them up and put the glaze on in front of us. We are visiting Cheyenne WY from the East Coast. Stumbled across The Crooked Cup on our search for a good cup of coffee. TCC didn't disappoint us. There is a great selection of coffee and tea drinks. Our cappuccino and white chocolate coffee were excellent! We were happy to see that in addition to breakfast and assorted baked goods, there were also lots of lunch options. We had 2 burritos which were tasty and hit the spot. The tea aficionado in me was so excited to discover special blend teas packed in little jars. I had to buy 3 jars of deliciously smelling tea and can'twait to taste them. The staff was attentive and friendly. We will stop by again before we leave town. Coffee is good . Tried to be regular the last few weeks. Several thingsCome to mind as I evaluate my experiences. I am a black coffee drinker. I have been noted by staff as being a regular. And every time I wait in the same line for 20 minutes while 2 people ahead of me get fancy drinks made when I'm one cup of pre-made coffee and the thermos is literally right there. Then I get over to the creamer. The creamers gone, empty or leaking. So since I asked for creamer when I go to clean up spilled creamer and there's no napkins. It's just seems like it's just always something in this place and I'm always waiting. Can't do a 20 minute wait every visit. I donor mind waiting if it's busy but it never has been. Literally there was 1 person ahead of me and I was forced to wait 20 minutes! Then the "to cool for school barista" just disregards my request to get a black coffee. Stating I had four cappuccinos ahead of you. How about a little multitasking or save the customer that's waiting patiently in the line I'll be right with you. Or better yet instead of apologizing how much is it serving your customers in an efficient manner. read more
