crossiron mills is a massive one level mall just north of calgary that feels more like an indoor…read moreshopping district than a traditional mall. the layout is loosely loop like, with long continuous corridors that let you circulate through much of the space without too much backtracking, but it isn't a perfect circle, several wings and anchor areas branch off the main path. despite the scale, it's easy to get your bearings, and the space feels clean, modern, and well organized. the mall has well over 200 stores and restaurants, with a strong outlet and value shopping focus alongside entertainment, fashion, home goods, sports, and large format retail. key tenants include winners/ homesense, marshalls, uniqlo, h&m, bass pro shops, sport chek, pro hockey life, silvercity, nike, old navy outlet, lululemon, sephora, and indigo. however, it's missing the apple store and zara. it also caters to tourists and out of town visitors, with a vip visitor card offering up to 25% discounts at participating stores. guests staying at least 60 km outside calgary can obtain it for free at guest services with proof of address. this visit stood out for the growing asian presence, including uniqlo, fuwa fuwa, marugame udon, two gong cha, and alongside kbeauty that add a pleasant mix of variety. overall vibe: very large, singlelevel footprint easy to wander for hours without feeling lost broad retail mix across sports, fashion, home, and lifestyle, more outlet driven than luxury focused, generally easier to navigate than multi level mega malls. parking and traffic can get busy on weekends and holidays

So as we look around, people have ordered their take out and sitting at benches located through out the mall . This makes no sense at all? Oh well it is what it is. People will find a way to eat somewhere. LOL

I give it stars for the value and the jeans and that's it. The service is AWFUL. I was in there…read morewith my baby last week. I wandered the store for a good 10 minutes. No one greeted me. No one offered to help. I stood there going through piles of jeans looking for my size. I should have unfolded every single one, just to get some service. There were at least 6 staff members unpacking boxes, cleaning up racks, and chit-chatting. Again, I stood there with 7 pairs of jeans. Some walked straight past me, one even said "excuse me" AS I'm holding out the jeans for her to take from me to put in a fitting room. She walked straight past and started cleaning up a pile. When I FINALLY (had to ask) for a fitting room, the handicapped/stroller fitting room was blocked by boxes. I had to leave my daughter outside of the fitting room while I tried on jeans. By the time I was buying two pairs they were friendly enough. This was my second similar experience at this location. Customers take priority over stock/cleaning/chatting, guys. Walked in knowing the average price of these jeans from my experience at Chinook. Never in my life…read morehad I tried on a $500 pair of jeans up until that time. I have 60 pair of jeans, no kidding. I do not need more pants! This Outlet True Religion opened around spring/summer 2012 and I thought I would check it out tonight. I had seen people walking this date with their True Religion bags on the Mall at Cross Iron, so proud! In I go and it took a solid 8-10 min for someone to come around and ask how I was doing. This jean store only sells jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, really good quality, softest cotton and the place seems to cater to "sticks', skinny gals but my helper gave me 3 pair to try on and on BAM, 2 out of the 3 were perfect. Just need some hemming. Oh boy. Bad girl. Ran down to Stitch It in the Mall with 15 min before closing to spare and they helped me out, they get a lot of True Religion's biz. I will have my beautiful, stunning, new jeans by tomorrow night. I came home and have 5 pair picked out for donation already. True Religion, the Outlet will save you 50% at least so go check it out. My jeans were $190 (reg $351) each plus hemming. I am solidly good for awhile now.
